the amount of personal energy is not just psychological, it has much to do with a person's nervous system and how they handle stress, there is physical stress and there is mental stress, both play on a person's nervous system, lack of motivation is different from a need to rest due to how a person's body reacts to stressors

Regarding eating excessive fruit, it actually could be a health issue if it's spiking insulin and causing a viscous cycle. Especially if you're eating a lot of fruit on an empty stomach, which increases the glycemic index, you're filling your body with excess insulin, which is a health problem when chronic. Also, if you feel you have a sugar addiction or feel you're in an unhealthy cycle, trust yourself.❤️

For me personally I feel it's not good for me to eat lots fruit either. Even though it's low in calorie density and has fiber, some fruits doesn't really fill me up but the sugar (I assume) kicks in a craving. I have to be careful how I eat fruit. On an empty stomach it only causes feelings of needing more without any satisfaction.

I'm digging the non-food questions. Dr. Lisle knows more than food. Dr. J.H. and the comments about social media/political differences and the destruction of personal relationships - seen more than enough of that. Sad state. Friends have lost friends, business clients, big cuts in relationships with their children. The fights over the covid jazz and more - unbelievable. Riffs that will never heal either. GREAT GUEST!

So interesting. Stone Age coming into the picture is fascinating. Side note: about questions, often times we think of a question because of something new we hear from and during the talk, so we can’t think of that question and write it before the talk. However if a guest comes a second time who we’ve already heard, then maybe we will have the questions we thought of in the last talk. Lots of new questions coming up as I hear his talk. Hopefully he comes again.

From having been both a very overweight female, to a healthy weight and fit female, you can’t win. Overweight = mostly men being nasty to you . Slim & fit = mostly women being nasty to you. It hurts more coming from other women because that basically let me know they were only friendly with me because they thought they were better than me. When I became more attractive they didn’t want anything to do with me. A real eye opener.

@@blueberry4082 how is my personal experience a dangerous generalization? Besides it wasn’t “friends” it was people I was friendly with, like work clients who literally stammered when they saw me, were all the sudden rude to me, and then took their work elsewhere. Or on the flip side, work clients who (men) would come in talking on the phone then say in front of me “no I don’t have to go she’s fat it doesn’t matter”. It’s easier to take from friends because they will tell you, geez you look great I’m jealous what did you do? I’m talking about acquaintances who act friendly then show their true colors when their insecurities creep up. Maybe you should not be so judgy? I am a very perceptive person, it’s not dangerous to listen to your gut (or their actual words and actions!) and understand why people are treating you like crap.

@@blueberry4082 ok so brutal is your baseline? I never said all women are nasty when you look good, but when people are nasty to you as a newly fit and attractive woman it is mostly other women. I think I made that pretty clear by my word choice. And it happened a lot. So much so that it was pretty depressing. Even my MIL jumped on the “you look anorexic” train. Why are you so concerned about stereotypes of women hating each other, but not being treated poorly by men just because of weight? Are you personally offended at what you assume I am implying? Why are you trying to invalidate my experiences?

In Australia we have the tall poppy syndrome…where anyone who excels beyond their peers is perhaps treated nastily for it. I think this also applies to the woman who lost weight. Unfortunately many women in Australia are nasty to people who do so well at losing weight…are you sick? You look so much older…you have so many lines now…are all very typical of comments a woman may receive and I guess this goes back to what Dr Lisle says about the Stone Age village….

Geeze. Mean people suck. It's funny too because comments like that say less about whatever they intend to say and way more about the speaker's own character or rather lack thereof. Basically, by speaking it's like they just rubbed mud all over their own face; haha that's a great image. I'll hope I remember that one.. and maybe laugh out loud at the time 🤣
