Yeah, they were all transvestites.
The gay men in this should be ashamed of themselves for projecting stereotypes...! I'm so over stereotypically Queenie feminized lifestyle gay guys.. Being gay is not a lifestyle or community it's just a sexual preference! Man up we need real masculine normal acting men to represent the gay "community". Which I don't agree with calling you community.. Because a community is something you choose to join and you don't choose to be gay!
@vorpal22
10 жыл бұрын
One of the benefits of being gay is that you're not held to traditionally masculine stereotypes or gender roles. That being said, it would have been nice to have some non-queeny gay guys in this video, as it gives a very heavily skewed perception of what gay men actually are. Mf4ry big gay husband and I - while we have nothing against less traditionally masculine gay guys and have both dated quite a few - are pretty masculine, and everyone who meets us thinks we're two straight brothers instead of a pair of married gay guys. Eggplant = nasty.
@artaquino6388

What the fuck? "Real men" so stupid rethink about it
@kmarie7051
2 ай бұрын
@@vorpal22 That's because most gay men are not traditionally masculine because they are more similar in the brains to women. they are closer to straight women in gender traits and sexual orientation(which is a big thing in organisms that exist to propagate their genetic material and plays a huge role in the sex differences and in our natures) and are different from straight men in lots of ways, including how they relate to others. It's not merely a case of just having a difference in preference. There's so many studies showing how gay men are more female-typical like straight women psychologically and emotionally, with parts of they brains more similar in size and structure to a straight woman's. So you cannot really compare straight men to gay men because they have differences in their brains. It's like saying a autistic man is exactly the same as a man without autism in terms of how their mind works because they are both men...but yet the autism man mind doesn't work the same because his brains different. There's probably more similarities in the brains of straight men and straight autistic men than there is between non autistic straight men and gay men. A gay man cannot make a straight mans brain function the same way as theirs anymore than a woman could.
@vorpal22
2 ай бұрын
@@kmarie7051 I can't seem to see the comment you're replying to that i apparently made, so I have no idea what you're responding to, and I'll have to respond generically. Some structures in the brains of gay men can be either less associated with a male brain or more associated with a female brain (there is a natural range in these structures to begin with - it's not a binary). Straight men are a diverse group, and gay men are a diverse group. I'm a gay man, and most of my friends are straight men: I'm not into the "traditionally feminine" things that are often associated with gay stereotypes. For example, I have a PhD in math, my biggest hobby is collecting and playing video games, and I have zero fashion sense, decorating aesthetic, or shopping. I find it extremely tedious to sit around listening to people talk about their feelings and am solution-oriented. On the other hand, I like physical activity, but I hate team sports (although there are many women who like team sports). Autism again is a trait that is a non-binary: my partner is high-functioning autistic, and I have ADHD, and we both get along extremely well and understand each other. He doesn't have problems in general relating to people without autism, nor do I have issues relating to people without ADHD. (In fact, I find spending time with other people with ADHD to be utterly exhausting). You're making a lot of speculation here on the basis of a few scientific facts, and I propose that you're engaging in non sequitur logical fallacies. To draw the conclusions that you're drawing, you have to look specifically at the parts of the brain where there are similarities, what those areas of the brain are typically involved in, and then propose far more rigorous conjectures than what you're doing here. (Not saying that to be insulting in any way: I'm saying it because as a mathematician, I am quite concerned with accuracy and logic.) *shrugs* Personally, I think that the OP, telling gay men to man up is an idiot. It's misogynistic and it's stupid. People should just be who they are and there's no shame in it provided you're not hurting anyone through your actions.
@vorpal22

@kmarie7051 I hit reload and now I can see my original comment but not yours, so I don't know if you'll see this. Why are you replying to comments that are 10 years old on KZread? There's nothing wrong with it, but I'd suggest focusing on newer comments unless you have good reason not to. In any case, I still have the husband (20 years, everyone still thinks we're brothers or can't even tell us apart) and we're separated, but best friends, and a boyfriend of three years who I'm much more compatible with. The husband - like me - is not stereotypically gay at all. The boyfriend can be quite stereotypically gay. I don't think it really matters. People are who they are and the gender roles are the issue more than saying that person A should ascribe to gender role X because they have genitalia / chromosome C.

This... is actually impressive. I would actually like to know the details of you all getting together to create is video., and suspect they were all in it together to begin with.
Just my opinion, but I think everyone here was goofing on the stereotypes, not reinforcing them. Femme gay guys: Know why it seems like there are so many? Bec you don't recognize the majority of gay guys. There are way more straight-appearing gay guys than there are femme. You wouldn't know they were gay unless you followed them home after the football game to find they have a husband, not a wife. BTW, top vs bottom and femm vs macho have NO connection with each other. One funny thing that makes me laugh (and I'm gay) is that when there's a big, burly man married to a petite, femme guy... The big guy pulls the ladder out of the garage but the femme guy climbs the ladder and cleans the gutters. The femme guys probably changes the oil in the car, too. Lol, yes, but so, so true.

I'm not sure why that's hard for you to imagine. I can think of lots of scenarios in which both sides could humorously be forced to see how obnoxious they have been, rather than 4 minutes of only the straight men being humiliated. It's basically saying, straight guys stand aside, you're idiots, you don't know what you're doing. which besides being, banal, and imo not funny, undermines the whole straight/gay alliance message I presume they're trying to send.

I mean I'm okay with gay's and all, but I'm surprised gay people haven't noticed this and said something. This is stereotyping beyond belief. I know some gays who are dumb and can't dress. I know some straights who are smart and actually care about their girlfriends. That sort of stuff has nothing to do with what fucking gender you like. Really though.
