I often get "that" look because I will correct you. I don't care who it is front of, I will shame you. It's not a joke to me, I do it unconsciously, and have the guys where I work, Christian or not, stop doing it. I'm sure I'm annoying to them,but I won't have it.

Same... I hate hearing that... when people "Mock God", in ANY FASHION, I can't stand it, myself included. This is why I can't say this, last time HIS conviction broke my heart and bought me to tears! I’m retraining myself from saying this and everytime I slip I apologize to God for it. Instead I say “Oh my stars!” because of one of my favorite Bible verses. “If the stars were made to worship, so will I.”

I always used to say, " Jesus Christ," until another believer told me, " PLEASE don't use God's name in vain " ?🙏

In my school you're more likely to hear the phrase oh my days, so I use that one more. And instead of I swear to God, I just use the common British phrase I swear down. There are alternatives to using the Lord's name in vain, and that should go for everyone, not just Christians

We can say: God is Great - Allahu Akbar We can say: God willing - In shaa' Allah We can say: All thanks and all praise is due to God - Al hamdu lillah We can say: God is free from all imperfection - Subhanallah We can say we are muslim, if we believe in one God and the many Prophets (including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed) and that they are His chosen Messengers.

I absolutely do admit saying things like omg alot. But one word that i try my best to avoid is words like g..damn. that one word doesn't sit right with me at all!

I type out omigosh, but I feel like all of the different names of God should not be used as common expressions.

What confuses me in the bible is that you cant mock his name when its not even in the bible. God is a title and not His Name. Its a crime that bibles cut out the hebrew name of God and replaced it with a bloody title.

But god isn't a name, as people can have different gods. Some people's god is money, some status, some beauty, especially the folks on tv. The Christian god's name is Yhwh or Jesus. Just don't use these names in vain.
