Welcome back to the Show! Today we dive into weight loss: a common objective, but that needs to be approached with nuance. Weight loss for weight loss’s sake can lead to lots of unhealthy behaviors. On the other hand, steady glucose levels can naturally help your body burn more fat (it’s called metabolic flexibility), which is very healthy. We'll explore why maintaining steady glucose is key to managing cravings and hunger, and how it enables our body to burn fat more effectively..

Some tips that have helped me lose weight consistently: 1. Eat savory breakfast 2. Eat more meals with small portions 3. Walk after meals, or do a 20,30 min walking workout while watching tv shows or podcast. 4. Eat your veggies first. 5. Have a list of easy healthy snacks and meals. 6. Stop thinking about your meals, diet etc all the time, being obssesive. 7. Remember one meal wont change anything.

More than any of this, I'd say the key thing is to understand there's no cookie cutter solution and that everyone's body is different so experiment and find what works for you. I, for example, don't feel the urge to snack all day or between meals but I do tend to eat a lot in one sitting. So I eat just one meal a day and make sure it's within my caloric range. And it's been working for me. I went from 308 to 247 pounds (or 140 to 112 kilos) and that's with a couple diet breaks in between. And I eat whatever I want, just make sure my calories are accounted for.

The tips from Jessie: 1. eat savory breakfast, not carbs on breakfast 2. snacks has to be treated as any meal. No snacks is better 3. a glass of water with a spoon of vinegar 15min before meal is cutting the glycemic response with 30% 4. eat vegetables first, in the meal. Ideally with a spoon of vinegar (if point 3 was not possible) 5. meal order to eat: vegetables, protein, and after fat+ carbs + sweets. 6. walk 10min after meal 7. feed the body, don't go severe restrictions 8. if 90min after meal I have cravings /sleepiness, this is glycemic failing down reaction post a not proper meal for my body. 9. all sugars are sugars. Honey/syrups included. That is painful for me :) 10. not hunting perfection, if one meal is not perfect, I can do it better next meal.

And also remember to eat diverse food so you're not deficient in the vitamin department :) I'm not a nutritionist or anything, though, so maybe try to find a nutritionist or doctor to talk about your diet

First salad, second protein and fat, and finally carbohydrates. After 10 days of eating in this way I realized my pains were reduced by 90%, I had huge amounts of energy, my mental fog vanished, and without realizing I was doing 2 meals during the day and intermittent fasting without starving. My problem was my insulin resistance. I knew about insuline resistance like 15 years ago but I was unable to cope with my cravings, so I started eating the salad first and I was very sceptical at first but it has been the most important medicine for me, Popeye was right, spinach first and you will be healthy and very strong.

Every night, ever since I was 18, I've been afraid of dying while I sleep. I don't have diabetes, but still, my glucose levels spiked during the night. My heart raced to a level I thought it was going to explode, and it happened almost every night, while I was totally conscious of it. The doctors told me nothing was wrong with me. I suffered from intense anxiety due to this, and every night, while experiencing it, I used to think "this is it". One of my classmates in the masters told me about another woman that suffered the same that I was describing. He told me her life changed because of this method, so I bought the book. My life really changed and I haven't had these spikes anymore. You just can't understand how grateful I am.

She is mainly selling her pills to (sugar) add!cts. And, if you follow her "hacks," she will have life-long customers because her "hacks" never make you deal with your add!ction. Notice how, in this video, she says your cravings will be "reduced," but she never says, "eliminated?" I cut out all carbs about three years ago. It *_COMPLETELY ELIMINATED_* my food cravings. I was so add!cted to sugar (carbs) that I used to lie to my wife so I could sneak out and buy ice cream cones with cash so she couldn't see my purchases. Now I can sit in a room of my friends as they eat ice cream and have no desire for even one bite of it. What this "goddess" is doing is promoting a *_deeply twisted_* business model which relies on keeping you add!cted to sugar so you are forever motivated to buy her supplements. It would be like someone selling an alc•holic pills that reduce the damage caused by alc•hol, but never actually helping the alc•holic break their add!ction - customers for life.

And like GG said, I’ve only implemented these hacks half of the time. Thank you GG for the way in which you share this inoformation🙏🏼🥳🙌

I came across Jessie a few months ago. Watched other nutrition channels, too. It all adds up. Even though health is important for me rather than weight loss (no need for it with bmi of 22), I lost 3 kilos involuntarily due to my altered attitude toward sugar and carbs. It seems body found a new set point at bmi 21. Being metabolically flexible must be the goal.

I have a thing for eating sugary foods and over-indulging in carbs due to lifelong eating habits and the metabolic side effects psychiatric medication. I also have a family history of diabetes2. Been following your food order and coffee hacks and now I rarely crave sugar or feel the need to over-eat! This is great news for me because my sugars level were a bit high during my last bloodwork and now I feel I'm more in control of what I eat and crave. Crossing my fingers for my next set of bloodwork next week :)

Dear Jessy, I'm really happy to have discovered you (I've already bought your 2 books). I like your lessons because you educate (you explain the reasons in a simple way from a biochemical point of view)and motivate people to eat well(as every doctor should). I started with a savory breakfast (not easy for me as I'm Italian) and drinking vinegar before lunch... now I try to eat the vegetables first. I'm in perimenopause and my cravings start after dinner, before going to bed (I reach for chocolate and snacks). I haven't succeeded yet but I'm on the right track💪🏻Good work Jessy keep it up. Have you already been to Italy to promote your method and your books???

You convey your knowledge in a way that is really understandable for everyone and without being dogmatic. I will also share this show again on my Facebook profile for my friends and followers - I think this is absolutely important. You already know that by following your hacks 💯 , I have become completely healthy again and have been able to stop taking my medication completely, and in the course of changing my diet I have been lucky enough to have lost a total of 39 kg so far. I really feel like I've been reborn. Thank you so much for everything. 🙏 Sending you lots of love and hugs, 😘❤🤗 Elisabeth 🌈, from Düsseldorf, Germany

I've also tried the order of eating and savory breakfast and I've maintained what I had lost but I also feel as if I might be losing some weight or at least, I don't feel bloated. Surely, I'm not the first to comment about how interesting your videos are, on all accounts. Not only are you a a beautiful woman sharing beautiful information from your beautiful mind and invested studies, but your choice of presentation is bar none! The different camera angles and the way you incorporate the transitions into the natural flow of what you are saying really help a neurodiverse mind like mine pay attention for the full message. Idk if your style/fashion for your videos is your style for your life, but I'd like to think so. You're so unique in what you offer and the way you offer it. I often wonder if you have a neurodiverse brain style because, if you do, then it's so encouraging to see someone figure out how to make it work for them! Please keep going! I just love how you're so into this subject matter and how you really make the most of it and communicating it!

That's super interesting. Because I also noticed once I started my plant-based diet that I don't crave that much sugar anymore. Sure, it was nice (and still is) to have something sweet from time to time, but I could go without those. It's because once you eat a lot of vegetables, greens, as well as healthy fats, and when it comes to carbohydrates you choose the complex ones (so e.g. wholegrain bread), not simple ones, then you don't crave sugar that much. And also, because there is enough sugar already in groceries already - e.g. ketchups or certain brands of pasta sauce; it can be shocking how much sugar is there. Some products that were not supposed to taste sweet, tasted sweet, and that was disgusting. And savoury breakfast or no breakfast (if we do intermittent fasting) is a way to go, I absolutely agree with that lady.

Thanks, you are doing so much more for the obesity pandemic than most of any other doctor, institution or regulatory arm is doing in the US. I get so frustrated with the people that love to 'check' you online for specifics, there's this one antagonistic doctor who is so short sighted in his desire to be right over others that he misses the big picture. I'm thankful you're helping others understand as a whole how their body works.
