Okay so I decided to follow all her tips the last 3 weeks and I have never felt better and have lost 11 lbs. I have tried every diet but could not stick with it for more than a day because I love soda and brownies. So what I have done is eat 2 meals, start with 1 tbsp of acv in 8 oz of water, then eat a cup of broccoli, then chicken or beef, rice or potatoes, and then I let myself have a soda and a treat (brownie or chocolate). I then walk around the house for at least 10 minutes. I feel so much better, I can finally sleep, and my insatiable sugar cravings are much more manageable. I have been easily able to stick with it because it is telling me how to eat my sugar instead of trying to cut it out completely. This has changed my life and now I am down to just 1 soda a day at my 1st meal when I used to drink almost a liter a day.

This is good to know because I want to start this. So you eat 2 meals a day? What do you do for breakfast? Do you have coffee at all?
@vchafab
2 ай бұрын
I do have a cup of coffee in the morning with Monk fruit sweetener and heavy cream. Since that doesn’t really increase my insulin, I don’t do the acv and vegetables with that. That is really my only breakfast. If you were to eat breakfast and a more sugary coffee, I would just follow her tips, acv before and maybe a veggie first then the rest of breakfast. Or you could do acv and then an omelette with veggies (mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, etc.) and sausage or ham. And then just move for 10 minutes. She also suggests doing calf raises instead of a little walk is fine too. I personally just eat 2 bigger meals at around 11am and then at 5:30pm because that the only way I have ever eaten so I don’t crave breakfast except for coffee. You totally got this! This has immensely helped with my lifelong sugar cravings and I don’t feel deprived at all knowing that I still get it at the end of my meals. Good luck ❤

I was raised a poor boy from a poor family by Grandparents. Grandma baked all the time, breads, cinnamon rolls, dough dobs! Eating sweets has thus become addictive, comfort food. Recently turned 65 ; somewhat physically fit. However I never really “feel my best”. Day three of eating vegetables first, hoping to have enough “will power” to stop the damn cravings when “life happens”. Wish me luck, thanking my higher power for finding this cute young lady.

She dumbs down a lot in her own channel. But some things are. Have a savory breakfast and if you are going to have something sweet with it, choose to have a whole fruit. Another thing she says is when having sweets never have it on a empty stomach, it's better to have a sweet as a dessert as a snack, since the food you already have on your system will slowdown the sugar absorption and the insulin spike. Another good tip it's to change the order of the things you eat, or simply add a salad and/or vegetables as a starter, then you can eat your protein and starch

About the mitochondria part: if sugar doesn't give you energy (only dopamine) how do you explain kids going berserk after having too many sweets? Thanks
@caryg4638
2 күн бұрын
Sugar does give you energy, but the cells can only take so much of it before it rejects them (insulin resistance), and then you get all the negative effects from it. Children, for the most part, don’t have this problem, and hence why they get an energy boost when they eat sugar. Too much sugar ends up damaging the cells, but a little is beneficial if you don’t have any metabolic issues (most people do though).

There is nothing wrong with insulin spikes. That's why insulin exists in the first place, to shove the nutrients into the muscle, it is a very anabolic hormone. The pathway to get insulin resistance has nothing to do with the occasional sudden insulin spike. Even if it were, the cure for insulin resistance is well known. Resistance training coupled with reduction of body fat, i.e., getting fit.

Blood sugar spikes have everything to do with fat loss. When your blood sugar is high, the body sends insulin to transport the sugar into the cells to use it and therefore to reduce it in the blood (which is very important). But insulin stops the body from burning fat, so the result is: no fat loss.

The only observation I have here, although I entirely agree with you, is to do with eggs. I think they are good to have on especially when trying to lose weight.

@vchafab
Good luck ❤

Thanks
@caryg4638

The only observation I have here, although I entirely agree with you, is to do with eggs. I think they are good to have on especially when trying to lose weight. Also , extra virgin olive oil, what is wrong with it. It is probably the most natural and good source of fats. Consumed in moderation with a well baked keto almond bread, it s fantastic.

@@Lydiafromhello! Dr Caldwell Esselstyn says any oils, including EVOO damage the epithelial lining of arteries which contributes to heart disease. I always thought EVOO Oil to be healthy but he has proven otherwise.
