revenge is childish in a relationship because it cause more problems..and on the street level, revenge is a never ending cycle..like u said "square 1" which is still feeling the same and ending up where you started at...I'm still tryna work on letting go and letting God..✌💯

God does not play about us seeking revenge or harboring unforgiveness in our hearts! We MUST let go of ALL offense as hard as it might be..and you're right it is a process. I'm speaking from experience. The Lord said vengeance is His. That is not a load that we need to carry. It is too heavy! We must have patience and wait on Him. I don't always seek revenge but when I do, I'm definitely satisfied with the outcome. If you're not satisfied then your revenge didn't fit what was done to you. Everyone has sought revenge at least once in their life, regardless of how big or small the situation. It's a normal human emotion that should be experienced. Imo it's not wise to get back at people every single time they do you wrong.....but also you shouldn't let everything just pass you by. Sometimes revenge can come in the form of lack of words or lack action.....not speaking up or not taking action when it's needed. I wouldn't tell anyone to never seek revenge.....you just gotta learn to pick your battles. Your act of revenge may go too far.....a point of no return.

Yo Kel, you're right we've all sought revenge or completely acted on it in our lifetime. However, the bible states that revenge belongs to the Lord. It's not our job to try and pay back anybody. God does that. Confronting someone or speaking up about something they did to you is totally different from seeking revenge.

@@missctolbertvoh but I understand where he's coming from. There are some hardcore, ruthless people in this world, who might push one to a breaking point. Sometimes, they will mess with you, and possibly do it again because you didn't do anything about it. I understand the concept and biblical command to not seek vengeance, but some people need a swift foot in their asses to let them know that you are someone with whom to not be played. You don't want to go there, but people will push your buttons -- I know because I have dealt with those kinds of people. There is a line that has to be drawn, and people must be sent a message to not cross it, or there will be repercussions.

At a point where I don't need anyone, and don't care, period

No I won't say you're wrong I'll say you're not healed from the pain they caused you. It's totally understandable. Some betrayals, pain and hurt take time to be forgiven. I believe in time you will let go of a lot of what was done to you.

I am going through a very difficult time with my sister. I did a great deed for her, and I did it with the understanding that she would uphold her end of the agreement. She has deceived me; her communication with me has been very poor; and she is not accepting any responsibility for her mishandling of our agreement. She has placed me in a very difficult situation in which I have to make two tough choices. When this situation is over, I will never help or speak to her again. Can I forgive her in time? Yes, but I will not communicate with her again because she has brought drama into my life for the past two years. I am not seeking revenge on her per se, but I will cut her out of my life. Anyone who brings drama into my life (even a relative), has to be removed.

I feel like if someone fucks over you intentionally or hurts you. Do what you have to do to feel better. Holding all if that hurt causes cancer, heart problems, high blood pressure ect. Holding hurt is not good. People continue to hurt others because no one gets them back. We have to stop that, pay the person back

I know it can be difficult and unfair allowing others to be vindictive, spiteful, and revengeful. However, you not getting out of character shows more of who you are than the one who is rotten. I hope you don't ever change because trust me when I tell you that people that's evil, hateful, rotten, and spend time hurting others have their day when they fall. I've seen so many people that's lied on me, slandered me, tried to set me up to get hurt etc have gotten dealt with. When God does it, it's not a pretty sight! To be honest I've seen people die early from being a rotten and black hearted person. God has moved them right out of my way. Let people who do you wrong put a rope around their own neck.
