    Lats need maximum activation for best output from the specs during bench press. It makes more weight, more mechanical advantage for the pecs, and can bring higher activation for the pecs. Same with this.

    Bro doesn't know basic biomechanics. No, the rear delts doesn't do scapular retraction. Maybe some external rotation, but it mostly does shoulder extension, especially at a straight fiber alignment from its attachment to the scapula. That means a 45 degree flare during scapular depression and at about a 90-degree flare during scapular rotation.

  • @utliscarletaaron6287

    @utliscarletaaron6287

    9 ай бұрын

    Wrong. It assists in scap retraction. It's like how traps are higher activated when you do a mini row at the top of your shrugs. It proper form. It's the fucking same as shrugs. It's like lat activation being most important for setting pecs into a mechanically advantageous position for bench press.

  • @ChristianMulvihillThom

    The first one is better if you just do a full rep instead of that half rep. You can even see the isolation on the rear delts on the first one.

    You can also focus on the scap retraction being in addition at the end to increase activation. Rowing your shoulder blades should not be how you lift the weights in the stack. Like when you shrug how you half rep a row at the end. You don't row the whole thing just the top of the shrug. In face pull it's at the back of the range.
