Hey guys I want somebody to try and give a solid argument on why this song isn’t an absolute BANGER! Loved it! What’s the next track we should hit? One from the new album or keep hitting the older ones?! Let us know!! 🔥🤟🏻

Andy & Alex This is the nuts and bolts of Tool. Don’t get me wrong, their recent stuff is outstanding but this comes from the fucking soul! Just love this shit.! Played in the right environment this blows your mind. You should try Third Eye. Great choice and another banger! Hope you’re both well lads 🤟🏼🔥💚

I agree, Pneuma is probably the next to do. After that - Culling Voices - a sleeper off the new album, and probably my favorite on it. A tapestry of emotion and sonic ear candy - and at the same time - a banger.
I once listened to this song on repeat 26 times when I was in high school. It's just as good today.

Dude..... I thought all College kids and under were lost! Glad to see there is still hope for the future, keep it up boys!🤙🏻
My sister and I went in on this album together when it was released. We put it in the CD player in the car and this was the first song we heard. My sister was openly weeping after hearing the first chorus. Our minds were blown. One of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard and an amazing album. Great pick, guys!
Song is actually fairly simplistic in lyrical meaning for tool. Its mainly about desensitization to things and how you have to dig deeper and do more crazy things to feel something. The twist though, is that the metaphor used to describe "going deeper" is fisting, hence stinkfist. as the song progresses the key lines are "finger deep within the borderline" then 'knuckle', then 'elbow', then at the end, the whole goddamn shoulder is in the metaphorical vagina, showing the insanity the fisters doing to feel things in life.

RIGHT IN TWO is incredible classic Tool. Pnenuma is very good new Tool
Andy, what you're calling bongos is a tabla drum. An Indian drum that Danny's really into. Alex, the meaning of stinkfist is getting to know someone intimately in a way only Maynard could put it... Turn around and take my hand ... Finger deep inside the border line ... Elbow deep ... Shoulder deep ... "take my hand" Stinkfist ... get it?
Now thats a banger💓🎵
Crawl Away & The Swamp Song from their debut album are masterclasses in spewing your bile via lyrics.
Yay! This is the first TOOL tune I was introduced to by a metal head friend. And I must confess he chose a great track for a first listen, because even though this isn't my fav genre, I'm lost in the sauce to this one! 🤘
If you guys are doing pneuma next it’s one of my favorite tool song ever.
Happy Thanksgiving fellas. I would listen to SLAVES AND BULLDOZERS by SOUNDGARDEN if you want to melt your brains!

This was my first Tool album and it blew me away. Brilliant musicians.
You guys need to see these guys on tour, they end with this song and improvise a section of it before the finale which is just monstrous in scope!!! They literally burn down the house!!! But yeah, definitely react to Pneuma....their best song by far, at least to me!

Agree Ryan. I just caught their show in Raleigh NC.
Hey guys! Really digging your channel! Loved your reaction to "Spirit of Radio." Has anyone suggested Porcupine Tree to you? "Anesthetize" is INCREDIBLE!! It's a long song with different movements, from atmospheric (ala Pink Floyd) to BANGIN' heavy shit that'll blow you away. Gavin Harrison, the drummer on the track (and Porcupine Tree's main drummer for many years) is, in my view, THE best prog drummer to ever bash a kit. I hope you put this into your queue soon, I'd love to see your reaction.
I had the pleasure of being introduced to Tool with their second album, Undertow, mind blown, i have been on the Tool journey ever since and my mind, still blown

Re your comment about the lyrics you should listen to it assuming it’s about fisting then listen to it again when you find out what it’s really about :/
Absolutely have to do Pneuma next...I also think you should really look into reacting to some live Tool video clips, anything between 1992-2002. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Basically the lyrics are saying that we as humans are never satisfied. No matter how good things can get we still get bored and want more. If you noticed the chorus of this song it starts with "Finger deep within the borderline" and each following chorus goes to knuckle, elbow, then shoulder. Hence the name Stinkfist. I would also recommend Pneuma. It's one of the best drum tracks I've ever heard. Danny Carey at his finest it will blow your mind.
This. Entire. Album. Period. Progressive metal at it’s finest. Then Lateralus showed up...
The way you both pull faces and move your heads with the same intensity depending on the music, makes me laugh. You both went on a Tool induced trip 😂
Great head banger given my advanced age and the fact I like Classic Rock.
Be sure to also check out the official Stinkfist music video
Love this song. New sub right here fellas.
I just adore you guys, but the cat stole the show :D :D :D Loving the shirt Alex!
They all get a 9 or a 10 because they are all phenomenal songs no matter how you approach them. Other groups create music. Tool creates masterpieces. Stinkfist is probably Tool's #1 choice for the final encore, although they have played at other times during a concert. The current tour has Stinkfist as the final encore. I'm hoping they change that to 7empest for the next leg in January. Rock on!
Glad you're enjoying Tool so much, they're an amazing band. For me, their best is Wings For Marie (Pt 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2) from 10,000 Days; read up a little on the back story and listen to these songs back to back. Both songs combined are a powerful piece of music and poetry. Absolutely worth a listen, even if it's not for the channel. Also, Amazon Prime has Tool's entire catalog without a subscription to their music service and it includes a lyric button so you don't have to go searching through youtube videos. *Scratch what I said, Amazon no longer has everything
Pneuma is Tools top 3 for me next to lateralus and Right In Two

I love tool. Best band ever. Please do Descended or The Tempest from Fear Inoculum or both. Lol
Definitely can't go wrong with Pneuma! Stinkfist was always one of my favorite singles, glad you guys liked it!
Have you guys heard Frankenstein by the Edger Winter Group?
I think Pneuma is going to blow your mind. One thing you’ll find interesting right off the bat is the way they use the delay effect on the main riff. And it will drive you crazy trying to figure out the timing pattern on that one. It’s a masterpiece. Then maybe listen to Descending after that. And to answer your question, Stinkfist is a song that uses the metaphor of anal fisting to represent how desensitized we’ve become as a society, and how nothing ever seems to be enough. This applies to relationships, material things, The standards we require of ourselves, you name it. Amazing song with which they usually end their live shows. Read the lyrics again. Only Maynard would approach a song in this way. There’s a subtle dark humor to a lot of what he writes.

A&A - Provocative 10! Loved it all. I did look @ lyrics. So clever to equivocate such an extreme physical act, with the need for More. Possibly, society abandoning its "Safe Word" to feel a new rush? Question simply put... How far are you willing to push it to experience the "More"? Now, I need to see a live performance. Nice job. Have a great weekend fellas! :)

@@lisaw5604 You're right. It was an experience you can't even explain. Don't know how the audience would be in other places, but here in Germany it was a very nice crowd, just standing there listening and being sucked into that deep rabbit hole they opened for us. Leaving the show and looking into all the faces of the people leaving was awesome. Everybody was like "damn, what was that?!? I want again!"
Fisting a booty. But that's just a metaphor. You'll have to explore the lyrics. Maynard's got a wicked sense of humor. I'll agree with others and say Pneuma for the next one. I hope you both had a happy and filling Thanksgiving. 😘 Your kitty is adorable, btw🐱

I still say if you want an 80's song Alex may like, go with Rush, "Losing It", released in 1982 and is one of the Rush songs that is heavy on the synths. Just trust me on this.
A metaphor for finding what makes you get off your ass and get motivated.
My Favorite Tool album...
You should explore the lyrics to Stinkfist, too. It uses the metaphor of gradually taking a fist up the ass to describe the desensitization that comes with overstimulation.
Hey guys the song is about becoming apathetic in a reltionship and taking what's become routine and boring to the next level. Somehow the next level still isn't enough. The goal is to keep pushing the relationship till the protagonist is secure in the knowledge that all is good. The fisting is a metaphor.
@vexxxboy

or like most Tool songs it could just be a song about fisting.
This is a fun song to play, if you're in a band.

Some really trippy phrasing and melodic choices. Whether or not you do react videos for those songs, they're definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of what he does.
