Part 2 is coming this autumn. It's bigger, stronger, tougher, and way cooler. Stay tuned :)

Hi there, I am an electronics engineering student working on a Gough Stewart Platform as a final year project. I'd like to ask if you are calculating forward kinematics in real time to make sure that the platform is moving to the correct positions? I am currently controlling my platform by assuming that it correctly follows the inverse kinematics so a constant worry of mine is losing track of where the platform is if any error were to occur. Any advice regarding this would be greatly appreciated

very good platform. Looks very robust

where did you get the actuators for this?

How much load can it handle ? .. and then acceleration ?

So....where is part 2? :)

can you tell me how to find the inverse kinematic of the platform ! is it trivial thing to do or a tough thing

I'm going to make a stewart platform for my bachelor degree's thesis.. i'm planning to make a little one using servo motor instead of actuator because it's way cheaper.. Can you help me?

what are the specifications of this platform?

Ugh why are you using an audible high pitch Pulse Width Modulation Variable Frequency Drive carrier frequency? Why is it set so low that we can hear it? Are you all deaf? It should be up in the 16+ khz range.

It's easy to find the inverse kinematics using simple geometry. I'll email you one of our matlab scripts. Good luck!

Those linear actuators must have cost a fortune.
