The most amazing part of Stevie's story, and there are alot of amazing parts, is that within a year or two in the late 1990's, he went from not being in the public eye at all to acting in The Sopranos, being on tour with the E Street Band again and creating and introducing his great project The Underground Garage radio show. He went from being basically forgotten to being an American Iconoclast. And now he's a man of letters! Ladies and Gentlemen, Little Steven, Miami Steve, Mr. Stevie Van Zandt!

Marc Bolan wore eye makeup and feather boas. and Steve Priest of Sweet wore some wild costumes also. I still love to listen to that music, I guarantee you will never find music that good these days no doubt.

@@joemama-lq9yx Yeah, but it's more basic that that. economizing by driving a 10 year old car or a 4 year old phone or not having a Starbucks drink every day is one thing. Not having the money to get dental work done, to pay your auto insurance while you are already exercising that economy, that's another level. There are wants, and then there are needs. There is not having every luxury that takes your fancy, and there is not being able to provide basics for yourself. Its easier to say money isn't important when the lack of it isn't making you genuinely miserable.

Can you imagine Thatcher and Reagan together back in the day ? The famous poster of Reagan in a Clarke Gable pose he's carrying Maggie while he's dressed like an old Hollywood type. The poster has these words printed across it." She promised to follow him to the end of the world. He promised to arrange it ! ". Those were truly harrowing days sometimes, but WoW you knew you were alive ! Thatcher ruined a lot of Britain, and it's never really recovered. Blair was promising, then he met George W. Bush. Thank God we got Nelson Mandela. Free !

The funny thing about Nelson Mandela is that just like the first Republican president, Abe Lincoln, Mandela preached reconciliation. Thatcher and Reagan we're so focused on bringing down the Soviet Union that they couldn't take anything more on their plate. I'm sure leftists in America have a different narrative that feeds their belly full of hate that they love to carry around with them to display their special virtuous intrinsic superiority. I find it interesting that in this world full of all sorts of Oppression, like the Uyghurs in China, or the oppression of women in Saudi Arabia, or the oppression of Jews in the Middle East and across Europe, that an American leftist will call you a racist if you dare to bring these up.

You don't have to make a cogent and logical argument. You're right because Margaret Thatcher was evil. It's the old "I'm right because you're a poopoo doodoo face" argument. You speak of Margaret Thatcher and people like her exactly like Russian socialists spoke of the kulaks just before they started killing them.
