The most amazing part of Stevie's story, and there are alot of amazing parts, is that within a year or two in the late 1990's, he went from not being in the public eye at all to acting in The Sopranos, being on tour with the E Street Band again and creating and introducing his great project The Underground Garage radio show. Lchaim from Jacova born March 11th in a Bethlehem. After my family moved here from Hamburg Germany. I grew up the in Cherry Hill, N.J. I have senn Bruce Springteen and the E street band many times. 1981 I was an aupair in Hamburg, Germany. Bruce Springsteen and the E street band flew my from Hambug to Berlin with them on the plane and were wonderful. Steve's with was especially wonderful because she like me danced ballet.
Just about the time Stevie Van Zandt got talking about what he was doing, the interview ended. is there more of this interview? seems like there's got to be, I guess I will have to try to find the whole episode. those albums covers reminded me of musicians from the glam rock era. my favorite groups were from that era starting with SLADE, and Marc Bolan and T Rex, and Sweet, and Suzie Quattro, Dave Hill of SLADE wore some wild costumes. Marc Bolan wore eye makeup and feather boas. and Steve Priest of Sweet wore some wild costumes also. I still love to listen to that music, I guarantee you will never find music that good these days no doubt.
Underground garage introduced me to a plethora of excellent music, thanks Stevie

@@joemama-lq9yx Yeah, but it's more basic that that. economizing by driving a 10 year old car or a 4 year old phone or not having a Starbucks drink every day is one thing. Not having the money to get dental work done, to pay your auto insurance while you are already exercising that economy, that's another level. There are wants, and then there are needs. There is not having every luxury that takes your fancy, and there is not being able to provide basics for yourself. The man, the myth, the legend!
Can you imagine Thatcher and Reagan together back in the day ? The famous poster of Reagan in a Clarke Gable pose he's carrying Maggie while he's dressed like an old Hollywood type. The poster has these words printed across it." She promised to follow him to the end of the world. He promised to arrange it ! ". Those were truly harrowing days sometimes, but WoW you knew you were alive ! Thatcher ruined a lot of Britain, and it's never really recovered. Blair was promising, then he met George W. Bush. Thank God we got Nelson Mandela. Free !
@FlyOverZone
2 жыл бұрын
The funny thing about Nelson Mandela is that just like the first Republican president, Abe Lincoln, Mandela preached reconciliation. Thatcher and Reagan we're so focused on bringing down the Soviet Union that they couldn't take anything more on their plate. I'm sure leftists in America have a different narrative that feeds their belly full of hate that they love to carry around with them to display their special virtuous intrinsic superiority. I find it interesting that in this world full of all sorts of Oppression, like the Uyghurs in China, or the oppression of women in Saudi Arabia, or the oppression of Jews in the Middle East and across Europe, that an American leftist will call you a racist if you dare to bring these up.
