This is from Stevie Ray's new podcast from Title Match Wrestling Network! Joined by co-host Matt Topolski, Stevie Ray talks about the night in Tennessee when he, Haku, Barbarian & the Nasty Boys went out after a WCW show. Apparently, the Nasty Boys recognized a Matt Damon who was working behind the bar. At the time Matt Damon was a young actor who had just done the film "School Ties" and was just years away from starring in "Good Will Hunting". According to Stevie Ray, the Nasty Boys "pimped" him real good that night.

It sounds too crazy to be true but Damon actually did work as a bartender in Tennessee to adapt for his role in the Rainmaker. And he hadn’t become big yet but ironically this role was one right before Good Will Hunting and so this was legit not long before he started the ascension of his career. This is Amazing

My brother and I - we were young white boys in the south growing up loving wrestling. Tag teams were our thing; our mom - rest her soul - got us into wrestling and we started out loving the Windhams as our favorite -- then, we liked the Road Warriors for a time. My folks split, and my brother went to live with my mom, and we finally got to hang out again in around 1995 -- and we found that we both loved wrestling -- WCW was our brand because -- you know, grew up in Tampa; WCW is what we were about -- But when Parker brought you guys out on Nitro -- my brother and I were fans instantly. We'd liked the Steiners -- because they were brothers -- but damn, you and Booker T didn't take NOTHING off of ANYONE. But unlike Ricky and his brother - you guys were AMAZING wrestlers - the Harlem Hangover -- the kenpo style side kicks and that hatchet kick across the back of the neck -- but hell, you know what ya'll did. You were like the new version of the Briscoes (Jerry and Jack - not the RoH guys) -- badasses who didn't take shit or the Windhams in their prime. You and Booker T on Monday NITRO brought me and my brother together again, man. Love your show. And, having done some training -- I can attest to Jerry Sags' living the Nasty life all day every day -- he never popped me, but he did slap around some local dudes in SECW back in the late 90s when I was starting out training for lipping off about 'Public Enemy' or something. Old school dudes don't play - is the moral of the story. :D
