Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo)
Музыка
"Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo)" by Stevie Ray Vaughan
Stevie Ray Vaughan was a legendary blues guitarist and singer from Texas, known for his soulful playing and powerful vocals. He rose to fame in the 1980s with hits like "Pride and Joy", "Texas Flood", and "The Sky is Crying", which showcased his incredible guitar skills and deep love for the blues. Vaughan collaborated with many other artists throughout his career, including David Bowie (on the song "Let's Dance"), blues icon B.B. King (on the album "In Session") and his brother Jimmie Vaughan (on their “family Style” album). He was also heavily influenced by other blues legends like Albert King, Freddie King, and Jimi Hendrix, whose playing styles he incorporated into his own unique sound.

That's a riot! Absolute winner post as I am consuming SRV on a rainy Friday night, sucking down a cold beer. Got some plug in earbuds in, and this guy shreds that poor Stratocaster to pieces. Leo probably never intended it to be played that way with the guitar surviving all those licks.
A full display of a Fender Strat being pushed to its absolute limit.

I just recently discovered him too in the past 3-4 months, for whatever reason. I am a fan of so much older music 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, as well as some newer alternative rock. Very little, if anything, touches what this guy pours out performance after performance. What a blessing he was here when he was, but what a shame he passed at a far too young an age. On top, he had a heart of gold and conquered demons of drug/alcohol issues. This band, as well as him, needs more recognition. Stevie's guitar playing is vicious and is 100% passion. Unbelievable.

The real deal with SRV, he was no pretty boy fair haired poser rocker, but a man that truly epitomized the blues complete with hard luck back story and broken nose and fucked up looking grill. No guitarist ever poured more of his heart and soul and spirit through his guitar playing on stage. It fucking hurts to bend heavy gauge strings like he did at that extreme level, and that shows on Stevie’s face. SRV played on a way ungodly heavy gauge set of strings on his guitars always. The man paid his dues and could sing the blues like no other! RIP SRV, missed but never forgotten.
