I named my son Stevie Ray. He was born 6 months before we lost SRV in 1990. Thank you for this post. Stevie touches your heart. I said Stevie didnt play guitar. He put his soul through an amplifier. Life without Stevie has been sad.

He's playing 'Charley'. It was given to him by Charley Witz a guitar shop owner Stevie was friends with. Stevie wrote this song for Charley after he died. Great reaction 👍🎸🎵🎶

Excellent comment!! Although he doesn’t start the song off with “Charley”. His first strat goes out of tune at 1:33 and he Opts for charley and continues to one the arguably best guitar performance ever. If this song doesn’t rise emotions you’re dead inside. Much respect ✊

HIs stank face is the emotion he puts into his notes, basically that guitar is an extension of his soul. He was so in tuned with his guitars that he would Feel what he was playing rather than just playing it. It is why he never play a song the same twice.

@3:58 FYI: the lyric "all the love you passed our way" he penned for his friend for whom this song he wrote, are the same words chosen for his grave's plaque. Stevie indeed passed a lot of love our way. He was an incredible soul. Fierce and gentle and real.

I agree, Beautiful! He was a Showman... and he played behind his back, with his teeth, behind his head because nobody else could the way he could or if at all. His fingers were so strong and the calluses so deep, he would break his strings regularly, despite using the heaviest and thickest gauge of string. 🤣😂🤣😎😎😎 RIP SRV! ~ THANKS, JT, GREAT JOB!

This song hits home for me.. I lost my best friend 6 years ago. He was a very special person in my life. And I miss him whole heartedly. When my best friend died we played this song at his funeral. I miss him every day. And every day I start my day listening to this song. And he loved Stevie Ray Vaughn just as much as myself if not more. I know he is rockin it in heaven with the Greatest SRV. ❤

I play this almost daily....so beautiful....sad and part of the words are now on his grave 😔 He had a nightmare the day before he died an was spooked as he told his band members he dreamt he was at his own funeral!!! How awful...why oh why did he get in that damn helicoptor in fog that night 🥺😩 Also his last song he performed solo at his last gig was Voodoo Child....same as Hendrix i found out!! Very spooky....so sad...such talent in both...💞

Hey there ITZJT TV! I want to Thank You for sharing this with all of us. As usual, You're awesome & so is your reaction. A little bit of info about what's going on here: You probably didn't even notice this but... SRV began playing this song with a completely different guitar and early on, into the song he changed over to the White Guitar, (Charlie), that we see him finish with. There's a good reason for this and that is because SRV and a custom guitar builder, named Charlie were really tight friends for many, many years. Charlie passed away and SRV wrote this song, "Life Without You," just for Charlie and the White Guitar is a Guitar that Charlie built, by hand, especially for SRV! So you can see how everything fits together here and you can feel SRV's emotions as he plays too. A touching performance indeed! Keep Smiling...

Great, reaction, I’m now subbed....yeah, Stevie put the stank on it, for sure....he put the stank on it so bad, he makes YOU/US get the stank face, lol....yeah,,he just FELT it 1000%....the dude was Zues of the guitar gods, and just had crazy soul...BB King said that Stevie “didn’t play the guitar, but it played HIM”.....this is pretty much the greatest performance of his imo, theres so many others, but this one his special becuz it’s for his friend who died, and the feeling he put into this song is just OFF the charts....it’s wild...anyway, rest reaction, and again, I’m stoked to be subbed to ur channel:)

R.I.P. Stevie. Yeah, he could play with his teeth and behind his back just like Jimi Hendrix. Stevie had been out of rehab for awhile and stayed clean. He was doing really well when he sadly died in that helicopter crash back in 1990 at age 35. What a huge loss.
