Steven Lawson: The Church’s Way of Life

Having been saved by grace alone through faith alone, believers are given a distinctive ethic that is to shape their lives and enable them to please God. In this message, Dr. Steven Lawson considers the Christian ethic as outlined in Ephesians 5:1-21 and what it means to serve the Lord honestly and faithfully in all that we do.

What a powerful word during days like these. This is real preaching !!!!!!! You took a text and applied it to what is going on today. The church is not speaking up like this. They are so afraid of losing people and not getting money that they "tolerate, normalize, and compromise." Going along to get along". Our children must see us standing on the teachings of the Bible. They learn from us. I am an 80 year old woman, and I want to spend the rest of my days standing on the Word and not giving in to the culture. I will have to answer to the only one whose opinion really matters. Thank you , Steve Lawson, for your faithfulness to the Scripture. Elaine Ross

Such a blessing! It's been difficult to hear masseges that confront and tell the truth! May our Great Lord bless his minister.

I am thankful for this teaching. This is very suitable for young christians in their beginning of their path for learning obeying the Word. Correct teaching is needed before the talks from the current "christian" culture reaches them.

Our God is so very faithful! In continuing the work He has begun in us, just as promised in His word. I'm often directed..."I think" by the Spirit, to particular messages and scriptures that deal with the struggles, difficulties and temptations I face at that point in time. Dr. Lawson here supplies what was needed just now. Adeptly using the scriptures to delineate spiritual cause and affect of my particular problem, the solution, as found in Christ, becomes apparent. But isn't that always the efficacious nature of absolute truth as our Omniscient God reveals it? Thank you to Ligoniers and to Steve Lawson for the upload, and for the continued faithfulness in expositing the word of God.

I'm sorry. I respect both Drs. Lawson and Sproul, but sanctification is NOT synergistic. He is confusing the fruit of sanctification with "our part" in our sanctification.
