I just got home from a four day stay in the hospital. While I was there I was able to witness to a dozen different people. When I got home, my Buddhist neighbor asked me how it was, and I told him it was a blessing, and witnessed to him too. Seeds were planted and lives were touched by the gospel through my sickness. Bless the Lord! He is able to work all things for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.

What a powerful and timely word for the saints of God! Use us Lord for your glory!! Thank you Pastor Lawson for yet another message of encouragement. Love in Christ to all my brethren

Lord Jesus hear my prayers. Prayers are all I need. I’m losing hope but God restores my faith. These past three years have been difficult. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Both of my sons are autistic. I’m now homeschooling them so my hours to work are limited. BUT I TRUST YOU LORD! I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my kids and I constantly struggle to buy groceries. I receive hate for sharing my testimony. My testimony is one of faith. No matter what we are facing God will give us strength to over come. Thankfully I have you Lord! I know I’m not alone. Faith over fear!

In those days prison was pre-trial not post. It could be in a dungeon or could be house arrest. Either way the Roman Empire did not provide for clothing, food, medical treament. Family and friends of accused would provide for their needs. A friendless, orphan had no one. Until Christians started visiting the imprisoned.

It’s also providential that Paul is a Roman prisoner but also a Roman citizen so he is given some respect by his captors.

He that is not with the Lord is against the Lord (Luke 11:23). Many are stubborn and will go to Hell. Why? For rejecting God’s words through Jesus. Once Jesus says something it is forever (Matthew 24:35). Jesus said God is the only true God (John 17:3), but people reject this by looking to other verses they think prove Jesus to be a liar by calling him God instead of the Father. This is blasphemous without repentance. They will pay the eternal price. It doesn’t matter how the verses appear to look without the Holy Spirit. Verses like John 1:1, John 14:9, John 10:30, Hebrews 1:8, John 8:58, etc. still say there is only one God…and it is the Father, not Jesus Christ.
