Steven Lawson: Complete and Equipped
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Apostle Paul tells us that all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for reproof and instruction so that we may be complete and equipped for every good work, including the work of standing firm. In this message, Dr. Steven Lawson explores the doctrine of Scripture, covering topics such as the inerrancy, infallibility, sufficiency, and perfection of the Word of God, and discusses why we must affirm these truths to stand firm for Christ.

Great teaching of God's Word by Dr. Steven Lawson. 🙂
That was a fantastic sermon that I greatly enjoyed and needed to be reminded of.

Very comprehensive and practical . Thank you Dr. Lawson!
I love hearing from this beloved Bible teacher . God bless you with more wisdom.
"To reject any part of the scripture is to reject God Himself, because it is the word of God." AMEN.
Such a blessing to always hear Lawson preach and teach.
I would encourage all denominations to learn about the origins of the sacred scriptures and how it was all brought together into what we now call the Bible. And remember: there’s a difference between Catholic and catholic; between orthodox and fundamental.
Excellent.
33:34 What an amazing statement about the Christian growth.

The more I hear pastor Lawsons' sermons over time, the more I agree with his doctrine. There is only one gospel.

It’s not his doctrine. It’s God’s. Galatians spells it out.

@@DavidKfilmmaker But what does it say about another gospel? Paul writes; If anyone preaches another gospel, let him be cursed... I am saying that Lawson preaches this same gospel as Paul the Apostle. Hello?

Do you know why pastors do not want you to listen to the audio bible on your e devices? They want to control your inputs and thereby make you dependent. Matthew 23:13
The Hebrew says large fish not whale. E don't know what exactly it was just as we don't know what Leviathan and Behomath were but only that there descriptions do no match crocodile or hippo or any other species we know of today. Species go extinct in this fallen world.

Fish or whale, makes no theological difference.

Think about the sermon we just heard, it says big fish rather than whale for a reason, every jot is breathed out by God. Just think of the theological significance of fish in the Bible for a moment, it does make a difference.

@@K-Wiles How literal do you want to go? Translations themselves are a form of cultural contextualization. In Exodus when Yahweh is describing Himself to Moses and says “slow to anger” the literal words are long nosed or long in nose. Nobody would know what that means. I think it’s helpful to have a literal and dynamic translation when studying if you don’t know the original language.

@rockhopper_392 very true. People seem to look to divide over the smallest of things.

It sounds like a response to something that may have been said earlier, most likely during his introduction.
