I don't know why so many people are sour on Berggren. He needed to learn how to drive the game and he certainly did that for the Griffins down the stretch. I'm hoping he has a bigger impact than Veleno.

Different positions. Veleno is a center and Berggren a RW/LW.

I agree but to explain people kinda don’t like Berrgren (including me) bc he needed more Development everyone knew that and Berrgren didn’t so now he doesn’t wanna resign with us even tho we tried to help him.

Finally, another fan says the same thing. Berggren is a star coming. I think his impact WILL be bigger than Veleno because he will play on upper lines.

Which bad contract do you think Berggren be enough rid us of? Copp? Holl? Petry? It may take more.

He will be the Berggren replacement in GR when he gets promoted to Detroit.
I was in the Detroit airport this morning, when I saw Steve Yzerman and Chris Draper walk past me. I knew they were on their way to sign somebody new!

They were probably on their way to the NHL scouting combine in Buffalo. Hope they get better drafting after round #1 for a change. So far nah.
He probably won't amount to a hill of beans but maybe it'll work out . . .

It's a fine signing. Either he works out for the Wings, or he's a replacement for one of the AHL graduates.

He will be penciled in for Berggren's spot in Grand Rapids unless he could magically turn into a NHL player right off the rip, which is a low chance. A left wing replacement for a left wing that is moving up.

Interesting signing and by the looks of it definitely worth a punt on. Unless something incredible happens he's AHL bound and will get a chance to develop with other Wings prospects in Grand Rapids.
As soon as he said "Played with the other two top scorers in the league" I immediately became sus. Lots of players play well when you have great players to play with. Not sure how this will translate in Detroit. Good luck tho!
