I talk for a living, mostly about hockey. Topics revolve around all things NHL and prospects, with a prime focus on my hometown Vancouver Canucks, while also discussing other news surrounding the other 31 NHL teams. We spend lots of time covering my second and third favourite teams, the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings, as well as trade rumours and news on top prospects.

The 7:35 mark features the start of discussion over trades the Canucks supposedly should've made, including for winger Tyler Toffoli. Toffoli's performance with the Winnipeg Jets' team to which he was traded from the Devils was mixed, with: - 11 points (7 goals) over 18 regular-season games and a +9 - 2 points (both goals) over 5 playoff games and a -2 It's tempting to say also the Canucks should've shown up more in games 6 and 7 of the Oilers-Canucks 2024 playoff series although during that series all games but game 6 (5-1 Oilers' win) were decided by 1 goal, with the Canucks' having gone 3-3 under such circumstances. Vs the Preds the Nucks had gone 3-1, leading to a total record of 6-4. The Jets, during their last 2 playoff series (10 games), have played 2 games decided by 1 goal: a 2OT loss to the Golden Knights of game 3 of that 2023 conference quarterfinal (CQF) and a 7-6 regulation win of game 1 of the April Avs-Jets CQF. The Canucks, over their past 13 playoff games, have played just 3 decided by 2 or more goals, with a 1-2 record in such games. The Jets have played 8, with a putrid 1-7 record in such games. The Canucks this postseason, when having: - scored 2 or fewer goals, went 2-5 - allowed at least: -- 3 goals, went 3-5 -- 4 goals, went 1-3 The Jets, when having, following the 2021-22 season when they hadn't qualified for playoff action: - scored under 3 goals, went 0-6 - allowed at least 3 goals (via having allowed at least 4 goals in each relevant game), went 1-8 So many games the Canucks played this postseason were close (10 of 13) because their defence, in enough of them, was good enough to win games. The Jets' defence has been nothing short of disastrous following game 1 of the 2023 Jets-Golden Knights series.
I feel like Bloom has potential to be top 9 maybe top 6 we gotta see how he plays out I'm hype for this trade
Its hard to imagine them going farther when almost all of there top players productivity was lackin.

A whole lot of ifs that are meaningless cause the canucks lost so why bother asking all these what if's. the canucks lost end of story get over it already
what if canucks lost game 4 against predators, they probably did not even pass 1st round, lol
a nothing burger
The Utah And They’re So Weird…huh, that’s a weird name.
I believe that the Oilers will win Florida mind set isnt the same as Oilers, but its going to be a good series
The oilers outplayed the nucks pretty much every game. Having demko wouldbt have changed the fate of the nucks. And cant say they would do what the oilers have.. So playing the what if game while downplaying what the oilers have done is kinda ignorant
“The Vancouver Canucks were right there” that’s a Maple Leafs mindset and a big 🚩. The Canucks were NOT right there. Keep in mind that this is the Oilers FOURTH consecutive playoff run, they’ve already made the mistakes they’ve needed to in their past playoff appearances and they’ve clearly learned from it. The Canucks were already beat up after Round 1. Do I think they could have beat the Oilers if they showed up in Game 6 & 7, yes absolutely!!! Do I think they would have made it all the way to the finals or won the cup this year, truthfully, no. However, I am very optimistic for next season and have full faith that they WILL be back in the playoffs!!
No way keep owen
Will be interesting to see Josh Bloom at next years rookie camp. Must have been a late bloomer (pun intended) as he never made any of the World Junior rosters.
The Edmonton Oilers had some games where they were out hit but did not end up losing the game.
Oilers in 4 😊
doesn't hurt to spend 850K on this dude
Florida Panthers have not as good a Power play or PK and would have to be very
Gonna be the x factor
So funny to listen to the goonish Ranger fans say Trouba makes everyone think we are a dirty team....while they cheer their heads off every time Rempe gets on the ice, or when Trocheck steals Tkachuk's mouthpiece, or Zibanejad takes a dive every other shift. Newsflash, the league thinks the Rangers are a dirty team, because it is filled with dirty players.
He can replace Sutter
Canucks fan here, did they not show up, or did they just get outplayed??
Ya they were right there… just like all the chances they have had to win the cup over the years but they didn’t want it hard enough
lol what if Skinner played above average? Sweep🧹
lol no kidding, half the Oilers had the flu during the Canucks series, only reason they got it to 7 if the Stu from the Dallas series showed up it would of been over in 5

A lot of turnover but they can get better I still think hand the net over to silovs trade demko while his value is high trade hronek the players we could get could be great just a thought because demko gets hurt a lot
First
yes & make brady our captain & suzuki our A
Dallas should’ve won because of their depth also.
Vancouver didn't show up last 2 games. Neither did Dallas. Makes me wonder what it would happen if Van and Dallas met in game 6 in the third round. Would both teams just walk off the ice? That's a fair prediction.
It’s only disappointing if the Canucks think they’re super close because they took the oilers to 7. The Canucks are a great team, but they aren’t year after year cup contenders
Lego im unsubscribing man. You guys were outplayed all games but 1 against the oilers in all reality. This what if scenario is stupid. Canucks shooting percentages all year were unsustainable and that luck carried over slightly but eventually we all knew it was going to fizzle out. How many comeback wins can a team get that are mostly luck and bounces? It all comes down to will and who is the better team. The Stanley cup is always won by the team that has the most will. Multiple Canucks players were said to of said they were tired and exhausted after that game 7 they just didn’t have it in them. They are young and still need years of developing into a winner.
The main reason they get outplayed and limited shots total was because of silvos. They had to sacrifice their offence to play more defensively. They couldn’t take too much chances. I believe with demko, they can play their game.
@@kw9377 last time I checked the Vancouver Canucks ranked 26th this regular season in shots per game and 1st in shooting percentage. Like I said unsustainable. So their game was exactly that, playing physical trap hockey and getting their looks. Teams will adapt to that kind of style. Enjoy watching OEL who had a great season in the cup finals now with the thought of paying him 2.3 million next year and then 4.8 million the next 2 years against the cap after that as a buyout penalty. Oh and also that mentally fragile 11.6 million dollar third line center you guys got over there for the next decade.
I was in the Detroit airport this morning, when I saw Steve Yzerman and Chris Draper walk past me. I knew they were on their way to sign somebody new!
They were probably on their way to the NHL scouting combine in Buffalo. Hope they get better drafting after round #1 for a change. So far nah.
This video made my head hurt 😂 simply absurd. Nearly all things you vancouver fans bring up could be applied to edmonton to. Oilers lacked in ways also. But they still did what they did to seize what they have over vancouver and the other teams they went through. Even in the regular season from being last in their division to being first..
You lost to a team that worst save percentage of any team to win a playoff round in league history, what if the Oilers got goaltending and you lost in 5 are you still going to cry for weeks
I don't know why so many people are sour on Berggren. He needed to learn how to drive the game and he certainly did that for the Griffins down the stretch. I'm hoping he has a bigger impact than Veleno.
Different positions. Veleno is a center and Berggren a RW/LW.
Nuk fans love to live in a what if world
The Stars would have demolished the Canucks.
Oilers did Vancouver a solid by beating them. They would of lost to Dallas so that is one less pick they have to give to Calgary for Lindholm rental.
From a Red Wings fan, every team has a "What If" moment. Even a 15 and 0 Michigan Wolverine football team has some "What If" things happen You just have to get by it, and move on.
Total BUST. The Rangers would be lucky to get a bag of practice pucks and new tires for the Zamboni for this guy.
