My favorite Traffic tune. As I approach the age of 70, I am more aware of how lucky we were to have shared time on the earth with these guys.
This was always my favorite Traffic song, always loved the upbeat music in this song and Steve’s vocals still sound great!
Saw this new at “Mother’s” Erdington, Birmingham UK June 1970. The Traffic trio re-appearance. An amazing night!
I hear a bass guitar but don't see one on stage.
Great performance of one of my favorite songs. Windwood’s fender Rhodes solo on the record is one of the all time best.
Bands today no
George Harrison my boy said Roy was the best
Great performance, of course. As a matter of interest, Blood Sweat and Tears (non-David Clayton-Thomas) did an excellent cover of this song on their "No Sweat" album in the mid-1970s.
Great song, amazing singer, musician and great band !
these musicians give their soul with their music perfect rhytham perfect voice perfect sound whatelse can we want
Empty Pages is still one of the grooviest, tightest, happiest songs of all time ❤released 4 months before I was born. Steve Winwood and Traffic were among the best in progressive rock. I still listen to the John Barleycorn album often.
No Glam Glamour OR craziness JUST Old School straight out Music as only Winwood..
Best side 2 of any album….glad, freedom rider and empty pages…play all 3 together…amazing…
Well kids, this is how it done…..enjoy this magnificent performance.
i swear to god imma tell yall one thing rite now im 51 i had heard and favorited this song in my head didnt know the lyrics only speculation thought at first it was peter gabriel then gary wright voice but thank god we got google i hummed it out and it arrived This was a 1970 song i was born in 72 i missed all the good music This Was Real Music Brothers and Sisters!
Definitely, my favorite Traffic song... Long live to Steve Winwood
In 1969 there was Blind Faith and those songs that they did was a reflection of a time coming to an end for the fan and listener to say farewell to a decade, but then Steve returned to Traffic and 1970 began a new era.
Steve Winwood and a Hammond B3...a marriage made in heaven!!
Master piano 🎹 player at 17 years old sounded like the great ray Charles 👍 t remendoous performance 🎭 👏
