This song should be played in the UN HQ every day until peace & harmony is restored around the world. Thank you Steve and your band members for this meaningful message and hope someone in the UN will listen.
Superb! The Hammond organ is the star here but how good is the percussionist, the guitarist, the drummer! 🌟🇺🇦
Steve is one of the greatest voices of our lifetime!!
Steve Winwood, belongs to a group of musicians who are rock music royalty. Thank you Steve for your music & for being the guy that you are.

Thank goodness that Steve survived the 60s and 70s like too many of his peers did not. I consider myself blessed to have seen this unpretentious man share his artistry and legacy in person..
Steve Winwood really does justice to this classic Timmy Thomas hit from 1972. Remember it?

In "The Spencer Davis Group" there was a very young organ player & vocalist, than"Blind fait", than"Trafic", than he is here again, one and only STEVE WINWOOD 🎤🎹🎸

Been a deep fan since the days of Spencer Davis Group. Then Traffic completely blew me away. Blind Faith, though short lived, another amazing group. Steve on his own is a treasure. He has more talent and drive in his little finger nail than most folks will enjoy in a lifetime, and he’s shared it with us, all to our benefit. (Plus Steve’s also one of those guys who gets better looking with age!) Keep on rollin’ with it baby!

I forgot to mention, not only has he mastered the B3, he’s a damn fine guitarist-often overlooked.
I saw Steve Winwood twice live, as the opening act for Tom Petty. In Edmonton, Alberta, in 2008, and in Calgary, Alberta, in 2014. This is a great cover of a Timmy Thomas song. The message in the song is still relevant today. Hope everyone has a great 2022. Cheers! ✌️

Pure class , pure talent.
One of my favorite things about the album About Time was how the Hammond B3 was thrust right out front and larger than life. It sounds spectacular in the hands of a master like Steve Winwood.

Steve Winwood has a unique voice--no one sounds like Winwood! One of my favorite songs of all time is his Can't Find My Way Home--find the video of him playing a Martin acoustic guitar in front of a fireplace: That has to be my favorite rendition of Can't Find My Way Home. 😊

I'd be honored if some Steve Winwood & 80s fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal KZread performances of EYE OF THE TIGER by Survivor kzread.info/dash/bejne/p32T17eGeJS2hJs.html, AGAINST ALL ODDS by Phil Collins, and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael in tribute to the era of legendary power ballads. Blind Faith that his music is always so Good.
Saw him once at the Ryman in Nashville in May 10.2017. Lifelong dream realized. Mind blown … phenomenal musician.
There is one and only one musician like Steve, always surrounded with great musicians to deliver superb art
Sadly this is still true today. When will we ever learn?☮️
Such a beautiful song…and sentiment. Thanks for finally letting this great performance see the light of day, Stevie…
As good as ever. A voice and talent you just cannot break.
I've enjoyed your talent since the late 60s so 2 years ago when you performed in Tulsa I took my wife Carol to see you and she didn't realize how much of your music she loved for so these years. Sadly she lost the battle with Covid-19 so I fondly recall that concert as the last one we attended together!

Great tune and wonderful question, "Why can't we live together?" No matter what color, still my brother.
Underated musician and band master. He makes those B3s sing
Love a hammond organ.
Great music, fantastic singer and band !
My god.....I've listened to this on "About Time" so MANY TIMES the grooves have worn through! And just listening and seeing this on video from 2005.......STILL gives me goose bumps! Bravo...and mille' grazie maestros!

We knew Stevie would get this one and make it into his own while being faithful
A huge legend like him it's too sad that he got only 126.000 subscribers and only a little more then 7000 viewers, while a lot of stupid videos got a lot more subscribers and viewers. Anyway let's hope that Christmas miracle will come true in 2022.
Thank you Steve for this song and all the other so many beauties you have shared with us. 💛🎵🌎
Steve Winwood is as good as it gets. Liked his music since the 60's. This is a superb band, and the song means everything.
Bob Lefsetz recommended this track during an interview with Ivan Neville May of 2023. Very worthwhile! Been appreciating Steve Winwood since 1965. So incredibly talented.🎶
Nothing compares To a Live performance
What a perfect version of this song - and Stevie is playing the bass line on the foot pedals.
Steve Winwood. With Steve Marriott the godfathers of the blue eyed soul.
What an incredible band and great live version of this wonderful song.
I try to see him every time he's in town which is sadly not that often. Never disappoints.
Each morning before the day I play this song!!
Absolutely love this....... brilliant musicians great song ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
DAMN! I can never tire of this kind of music…SO good…
Wonderful music and wonderful performance, what a rhythm!
I don't know if I went to a show with Steve in it. I did see him playing in the street by the waterfront in San Francisco, either on a little stage or on a flatbed. Sponsored by the radio station KSAN. I was there probably because it was advertised on KSAN, still I was just so amazed to see this rock immortal out on the street like that.

Only a person could made a version of this song as great like this, and her name is Sade Adu. Stevie Winwood a genius. The song Why Can't We Live Together was composed by Timmy Thomas, but both the Stevie Winwood and Sade versions are excellent.

@@richardalexander4300 with humility and respect, I saw traffic in my late teens in 1968 at the Fillmore east in the Village. Brilliant though they were,....I think "About Time" has a certain "Groove and funk" that he never could have achieved with Traffic.
The drummer and percussionist are off the hook!!! So cool how Steve set the bossa Nova beat with the top key on the Hammond. 😎. Fantastic job!
Great percussion.
man! the entire collection of musicians here - what talent, sound, music - so fine!!
Jose Netto. The Guitar Man. Brazil.
Excellent! I had to blow it up to see the guitarist- thought it might be santana again. Oye como va! ( I might "had to cry today"). Beautiful.
❤ I've been answering this question for 50 years now. Thank you UCSF for teaching me about Programming and Deprogramming Skills. I'm going to use this song tomorrow morning, Earth Day 2024. ❤😢

Awesome 😎 what a meaningful song 🎶 in a present day selfish world 🌎 we live in.
This was written so well, the music with the rhythm using so many sounds from the percussions and drums . Everyone is a star when you can hear each instrument ❤
This album is on my shortlist of best albums that a whole lot of people haven't heard. It's as good as Mr. Winwood's best, which is saying something. 👍🖖🌱🍄
Thank you Steve for your artistry and everybody involved in this gig. Greetings from Méjico and Happy 2024. This song will outlast the tests of history. RIP Timmy Thomas.
So in love with Steve Winwood 💓💓💓💘since forever🎆
Ladies and Gentlemen…the one and only……Steve Winwood 👌🏼🌹🌹🌹🌹
... We can't live together, because too many people in power are willing to use Force on Peaceful people.... too much regimentation.... too much mindless obedience.... we need to refuse to be cowed into submission.
Thanks Steve! 🤜🤛

Saw Steve In Melbourne a couple of times, one of the best live concerts I’ve been to was maybe in the 1990’s at Rod Laver Arena and more recently when he played on a Steely Dan tour.
C'était un chef d'oeuvre par Timmy Thomas , et Stevie en à fait un monument . J'adore . NORBERT .
Still a top master Hammond Organ player! Even knows proper Leslie positioning. Note his precise touch and how he uses the total tonal range: from almost screaming to super mellow. Until pro-level synths were common, this amazing instrument was the workhorse from gospel to rock. It has a soul in its old school analog glowing tubes.
Steve Winwood un très grand musicien , le maestro le number won de classe mondial .👏👍💪🙏🎄🎉🎊✨
There's another video of Steve doing this song with Carlos Santana in this rhythm. This performance is so cool. Gentle and measured and insistent. The percussionist nails it totally, and Steve's high tenor voice is as magical as it ever was since his youth. Love the song, love this version. Timmy Thomas, RIP in paradise.
Thanks for the music ,happy Christmas love to you and your family from Birmingham.💗🕊️

Beautiful version of the great Timmy Thomas's song , who we sadly lost this year March 2022.
