Steve Vai plays Joe Satriani's "Teardrops"

Музыка

"Steve’s playing on “Teardrops” is a total lesson in Vaideology! When you step into Steve’s world you know you’re in a different world altogether. Watch him pick a spot in the track and completely re-invent it as only he can." - Joe
Steve Vai plays Joe Satriani's "Teardrops" off of Joe's new backing tracks release "Stripped x Three". Joe's album is available NOW for pre-order at satriani.com/discography/Strip...
The release features full backing tracks from the complete "Shapeshifting," "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards" and "Is There Love in Space?" albums, a special digital compilation booklet with original liner notes and credits and it is all packaged within a replica Joe Satriani Ibanez signature guitar USB stick and custom case.

That's not true. Pop music is just completely different now and all over the place. Rock/Instrumental Rock/blues/jazz is no longer pop-music. But there are gems literally all over KZread, you just have to find it. Lots and lots of small musicians that have small audiences can actually be heard now.

To Steve, that was just a jam over the backing track. To us mere mortals, it would be a 6 month planning, rehearsing, doing 23 takes, arguments with the wife over disappearing for weeks on end, re-appearing emaciated, shattered, emotionally drained...but hey, look what I have (almost) achieved(?)!!!...hmm, maybe take 24 would be better?

Joe's been writing some crushing tracks on his recent albums, and Steve's take on the melody and phrasing is very very cool. Videos that end too soon!
