I think Steve was actually better. He played under control. Shot a higher percentage, and was a formidable floor General.
Steve Francis basketball skills was on fire back then. I remember watching him on t.v as a kid and I wish he would of stay longer in the NBA. The Franchise 🔥🔥🔥

beyond the glory , i used to love this show.
These kids don't Know how great Steve Francis was and could have been. He had so much talent!
Before the "Lebron Decision" there was this guy in 1999
I'm from Houston, TX and I must say he was an incredible player. I was a season tickets holder at the age 20 and I love every minute seeing him play but when that coach Jeff came he really fucked up the team. He didn't like Steve and to be honest when Steve was traded the rockets was not the same and the city. Steve did a lot for the city so say what you wanna say about him but don't try to take his shine. HATERS!!!

You truly are an idiot if you think Van Gundy fucked up that team. Steve Francis was a cancer to that ball club, and I've been a Rocket fan for 30 years. He was self centered selfish ball player, and when Van Gundy got there they made the playoffs in his first season. Fuck Steve Francis. "I built this gym by myself"....man fuck him, Olajuwon, Drextler, Sampson, Horry...THEY built that gym you egotistical little prick.

Idiot !!! Daniel S I gave my opinion You ass hole Yes the other players you name did build the gym, I never said steve did. I said he was a good player when he was on the team. Steve was very selfish player but I was talking about how good he was. You took what you wanted out what I said. To have something to respond on my post. And if you don't like what I said don't respond too my post. With your rude,disrespect, no class having ass.. You don't respond to anyone post by calling someone an idiot.

Still one of my favorite players of my generation watching basketball as kid, Steve Francis had a lot of heart and had to carry that chip on his shoulder, despite his antics and attitiude that brought many haters he was special in his prime, It's also a shame how his career ended and to look at him today It really brings tears to my eyes man. :(

what happened to him today?
Losing your mom is really tough, knowing people that were in that predicament, it takes a giant toll. He may not be the best person, his upbringing was rough. When he was in the league, I used to pray for him for better days to come for him when I younger, and then things went harder for him.🤞he’s better now. The most talented people go through the hardest stuff. For people that have 😈 and have the 🔥 to do 👍 things to make it out of the league, better days are coming, just believe that. ⛈ don’t last ♾, ☀️ will guide you and 🌈 will help you. Keep your head up. You’re going to make it out. Trust me, I believe in you.❤️
Stevie Franchise! God bless you, brother!
I don’t blame Steve for not wanting to go to the Grizzlies. It made no sense for them to draft him because they had Mike Bibby
@Theterminato2013
2 жыл бұрын
Ikr, both Steve Francis and Mike Bibby were Pgs who scored the ball well. Maybe Grizzlies were planning to keep Bibby at PG and move Steve Francis to the SG since he’s a high scoring PG.
I hope we see him return to the NBA again because he's totally the FRANCHISES

He's to old.
He was a super good player 3x Superstar, also he can play PG,SG and we had Mobley what could of been but we should of try to keep him but it was a good trade at that time for T-Mac which was 1 of the best in the league at that time or was the best in the league at that time.

Dope throwback Steve Francis 1luv .......
If I was Steve Francis I would stay and finish my college career
I was in elementary school when this draft happened,,,,,
The underrated one
I don’t give a shit to all haterz Steve says man
This mans vert was crazy!
Absolutely fantastic player. Totally underrated. When you look at the guys hes was playing with, you gotta give this guy his props. Bigtime. Idc what anyone says, that VC dunk co.petition was a lot closer than they act. Act 6'1", 6'2" or whatever, (don't forget these lil guys need to boost their height stats a bit sometimes, know how many times KD's height changed lol)he fukn killed that shit.

who else thinks that derrick rose and steve francis are the same person? identical plays, identical injurys, identical stats in their best seasons. they both dope as fuck at their prime but they playstyle is connected with a long lists of injurys and a short playtime :(

I wouldn't want to play for Van Gundy either.

I guess every player has their own reasons to not want to play in a specific place, remember Eric Lindros.
@alanmurphy6373

Lindros is was about Money and that was it. He knew in Quebec he would pay more taxes and not get as much revenue by being able to merchendise himself. If Francis went first overall and was considered the nexy Michael Jordon--then I could see the comparison--Lindros is hated by most
