Reggie Miller: Beyond the Glory (Basketball Documentary)

Спорт

Documentary on NBA great Reggie Miller: Beyond the Glory.
Reginald Wayne "Reggie" Miller (born August 24, 1965) is a retired American professional basketball player who played his entire 18-year National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the Indiana Pacers. Miller was known for his precision three-point shooting, especially in clutch situations and most notably against the New York Knicks for which he earned the nickname "Knick Killer". When he retired, he held the record for most career 3-point field goals made. He is currently second on the list behind Ray Allen. A five-time All-Star selection, Miller led the league in free throw accuracy five times and won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
The Pacers retired his No. 31 in 2006, and he was named to their 40th anniversary team in 2007. Currently, he works as an NBA commentator for TNT. On September 7, 2012, Miller was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

As a Hoosier who was and still is disgusted by what people said and did to Reggie they are not fans and don't speak for the love, respect, and admiration true fans and Hoosiers have for Reggie. Unfortunately, everywhere you go you have disgusting people like that. The fact that he stayed after all of that speaks volumes of the kind of person he is and also understands the love true Hoosiers have for him and our basketball.

In my eyes he won a ring for having heart. He always battled you to the end. The man had courage to stay with the same team and tried to win a ring. People don’t talk about it on TV but behind at families dinners, they know a couple of James and KD’s rings aren’t real. I respect Reggie Miller more than any of those guys. We don’t get to get control our results sometimes but we get to control our effort. He never had a no show in 4th quarters.

Reggie was a centerpiece, but he didn't have a scottie, or a shaq. He needed that one other guy to take some of the heat. Even MJ needed help, and he had lots. Reggie single handedly made them competitive, but it's too much for 1 man without a serious second threat.

@@unappealingundesirable2826 yeah I decided to Google Jalen/Marita and he has spoke on a numerous occasions and he is very matter of fact about it. It makes sense because it was no secret she hated Indiana and they were having marital issues already at the time so idk. It's a crazy thought but I always feel where there's smoke, there's fire. No pun intended. Lol

@@Drummer_Jeff83 I read that same article!! I believe Jalen, because everyone knew that his wife wanted to be an actress, she never wanted to live in Indiana, she was trying to be in Hollywood. She was too sophisticated for Indiana and Reggie.

Absolute class, humble and loyal, yes, he could have gone anywhere, Lakers would have been rhe most obvious choice, Reggie Miller truly seemed to have a small town heart, didnt go night clubbin, chase after women, drugs, etc. The NBA was so much better and more fun to watch during his era, besides, he did have one thing in common with MJ, they both would just hammer the Knicks everytime they would play against tgem3, so it seemed. Reggie Miller, No rings, but as a man and human being, an absolute CHAMP!

he is not the same player lebron was. Reggie was a shooter whereas lebron is a 5 position player. When MJ was on Bulls, Bulls were ready to create budget space to get really good players on that team meanwhile the cavs org did not have the kind of budget. If lebron stayed, he would only have one championship so far. Im glad he left that shitty organization and learned how win championships and when he came back(loyalty), he won cavs one. Thats an amazon story in itself. But you would not like to hear about that.
