But you got to understand he didn’t deceive by lies just by a double life. You have to ask yourself this question “does his lifestyle negate his message.” The things he said were very good at convincing people of Gods existence. But truth is truth. Ravi may well indeed be in hell right now, but God has always used sinners and even rebellious people in his word to convey his truth. Ravi was a hypocrite we knew this now. The anti christ will clearly speak things that are false, but he will be eloquent in speech to sway people by sis wittiness and intelligence. If God used Ravi to save some then God will do so. We can never know how God will use it.

Unfortunately, many view it as a reproach to Christ. Paul said in Hebrews 6:6, ‘they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame’. So, sadly, when men proclaim to be a man of God, yet live an entirely hypocritical life, it also puts Christ to an “open shame”. Obviously, it doesn’t diminish Christ, but it does bring shame to those who name the name of Christ. Paul also spoke of those who “hold the truth in unrighteousness”, and the wrath that would come to them (Romans 1:18). How sad how some claim to be followers of Christ, but they commit such atrocities. There’s a difference between struggling with sin, and outright living in unrepentant sin. People who are “struggling” with it don’t just wholly give themselves over to it, because then it’s no longer struggling. It’s just sickening to see when that happens.

There are, indeed, "wolves in sheep's clothing..."

I feel bad for the victims. She was probably an enabler, that's how the wives of narcissisists are.

A lot of people were dependant upon Mr. Zacharias for their comfortable lives. No one wanted to expose him. He was a carny-hustler...

I thank you Mr Steve Baughman for not being deceived by Ravi and staying strong against the charm exuded by Ravi. You are a courageous man looking for the truth, a huge respect from me. I hope many more charlatans are exposed by the likes of you. Amen

@Prema Sandesham , I saw rage in Ravi ONCE. Burning black eyes that could pierce a stone wall. It was one of his last public appearances at Miami. Right around Passion Atlanta 2020. A skeptic from the Q&A was talking over the emcee and basically disrupting the limited time. Very rudely. Ravi stepped in, in defense of the young emcee and took over. He said, "I'll let you ask me anything EXCEPT for my daughter's hand in marriage!" The skeptic's name was Steve. Ravi was smoldering. Steve had disrupted worse than anyone I've ever seen. But Ravi managed to regain control. I can only speculate that Ravi was already in excruciating pain from the fast growing cancer, plus his regular lumbar agony. Another observation: Ravi's voice was always captivating. It caused you to lean in. But this disturbed me: he exaggerated the letter 'S' at the end of his statements. Use your imagination about why this might be a problem. I dismissed it as part of his natural vocal modulation, cadence and style. I would never tolerate such a red flag in any other pastor. Just a little too close to the forked tongued Liar. Was this a case of demonic oppression left undelivered? What a wake of disaster it has caused! Apologetics, Evangelists, new Believers, the good people of the ministry, the family who must not only grieve his passing, but confront the possibility of his Eternal Destiny. My heart is broken. I loved and admired Ravi. He was a teacher. I say this loudly with apologies: HE SPOKE OF THE TEMPTATIONS OF THE FLESH AS AN ITINERANT FOR YEARS! PORNOGRAPHY IN HOTEL ROOMS, Female admirers and their starstruck "availability ". The most telling anecdote was the story about a hedonistic man who sees a naked woman bathing upriver from where he was swimming. He moves toward her with sexual intent. He startles her. She has advanced Leprosy and covers herself as best she can and peers out towards him. If memory serves, I believe she apologized to him if he had been frightened by her. The man swims away, as Ravi told it- concluding with his shameful acknowledgement that HE was the monster, not her. HE was the creature to be feared. I heard it in Ravi's voice. A thinly veiled confession? At Passion 2020, his message to young people was a staunch warning against sins of the flesh and the temptations they face while growing up. At no time in any of Ravi's presentations did I doubt about whom he was speaking when addressing temptations of hotels, cable pornography and even implications of resisting female advances. He was telling on himself and nobody, (save one employee who was reportedly "sent to Siberia") including this student raised the issue with him or anyone at RZIM. There's a lot of blame to go around. But to what end? Treat the wounded victims tenderly. Salvage ministry through Wellspring and Naomi's noble work against sex trafficking. Seems pretty congruent as an option, given the nature of Ravi's predation. RZIM: Screen all footage for the content and judge for yourselves. Plain as day. He had a serious problem. Oh, how Satan delights when he's brought down a powerful man of God! Oh, the pride and arrogance of Baughman believing himself to be the one who did it. No, Mr. Baughman, God used you to bring this darkness to light. And all will see how God causes all things to work for the good of those who love Him and are called to His purpose in Christ. Satan did not bring down a powerful man of God. i think Ravi is a deceiver used by Satan to disguise as a man of God from the start. Bec the bible told us what God has began in His believers, He will hold them to the end.

Ravi had a way of “tickling the ears of his audience.” They loved his stories, marveled at the wisdom in his Q&A, were enthralled by his accent that sounded “intellectual.” I used to be one of those in his audience. I will remember his name forever but only as a cautionary reminder. That is his legacy now.

Years ago I had a acquaintance with a college professor who was a prominent person in his community. He was off the charts charming, gravitating to shy girls. He flattered them and when they blushed and sighed in gratitude for his attention, he knew he had his next conquest lined up. He spent a lot of time doing volunteer work for the blind and when he died, his wife had a library named after him. She knew about his other life but I think she just had to soothe her memory of him.

I listened to Ravi for almost 20 years. My kids used to listen to him as they fell asleep. It was tough to accept he lied about his education, and it gives credence to all the other accusations as well. Crying shame.

I could never figure out what Ravi was saying. Word salad?

Every question an audience member asked was just used as an excuse to name drop, show off how well travelled and knowledgeable he was without actually addressing the subject of the questioners inquiry. I think he never had a Church because he was so pride filled he couldn’t humble himself to submit to anyone else, especially someone he saw as his intellectual inferior.

The passage which hits the nail on the head is when Jesus says “woe unto you when everyone speaks well of you for that is how they treated the false prophets but blessed are you when you are persecuted for my namesake because that is how they treated the true prophets.” When someone is as likeable as Ravi beware.

Hearing how charming and manipulative he was, it really makes me realize how much we need to read the scriptures so we are not deceived. If Ravi Zacharias can deceive so many, just think how many the antichrist can deceive.

Thank you Paul and Steve for your powerful pursuit of truth for the sake of caring about human beings hurt by corruption and the layers of deceit that our evangelical community allowed and still allows. As a believer I am shocked that evangelicals do not believe the basic things that Jesus said about Power, wolves, whitewash, religion as a way to hide evil. May we grow up and love “heroes” with truth, to see them as human beings most at risk

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Every leader must be subject to elders. Ravi ended up involved in multiple bad acts because no elders held him to common sense guidelines like not being away from home 200 days a year, not being an active member of a church and not getting massages by young women. Leaders need to be chosen for their character, not their charm and talent. Elders and boards need to hold leaders to high ethical standards, and Christians need to boycott any organization that fails to meet these standards.

I still think better oversight would have caught him sooner. For example, running a spa with women masseuses isn't an appropriate role for a minister. I always felt like he was out to flatter his audiences.

Ravi sounds a lot like George Geftakys. Spiritual, brilliant, and inspiring, but finally exposed for a similar double life. I do relate to the struggles the individuals in his ministry are going through. I would encourage them not to throw the baby out with the bathwater, but to keep serving the Lord. 🙏🙏🙏

There is NO Christian on the face of the earth who upholds the doctrine of Jesus as much as the Muslim. I understand whenever anyone questioned the way it even looked, he would turn the tables on them, making them the "bad guy" so to speak, become angry, and would thereafter treat them disfavorably. Please know that is what I heard. I have no personal knowledge about it, but I heard it from a person who had researched it.

DONT BE NAIVE, THE WHOLE MINISTRY HAD TO KNOW. There is enough to warrant a criminal investigation of the people behind the scenes at the ministry. The Miller and Martin “broad scope” investigation and report is a joke and sham to direct attention away from the people in the ministry. Don’t continue to be deceived!

Quite the contrary. From what I have seen there were clues to what was going on but nothing all that alarming. They were douped. And the way they have handled things,IMO, is redemptive. They have invested in the investigation of the claims, been very open and allowed the evidence to go where it lead. And in the end have been very repentive over the scandal. They are helping the victims in anyway they can and have been very open to the public with it all.

@@richard6216 I don't know whether he lied about his credentials or not cos u can't believe everything said in the media. N some of his victims were reported to have received money from him. If it is true they are also party to the crime. They should have spoken out instead of taking money, when he was alive. Now all the shame has to be borne by the family he has left behind.

@@lizhing8004 as I said earlier, lotsa unknowns here. He is the perpetrator though and that's known. A lot of things could've been done and said, but we know now. Rzim must shut shop. A disgrace. I always had a feeling there was something shady about the guy when he kept talking about himself being from the "highest caste" in India. A normal, decent person would state that there's no such thing as caste. He came across as being a narcissist.

@Faisal Siraj Jesus Himself proclaims that He and the Father are one. It's one of the biggest mysteries about God. Three Persons, One God. Monotheism. God can't be perceived with human 'logic'. He is outside the universe. The laws of Physics, Mathematics do not apply to Him. Jesus is God. And Paul is one of the greatest New Testament evangelists. And a friend of St. Peter's.

Ravi too needed Jesus but it was too late. He ignored God's call for repentance.

Covert Narcissistic behavior is always manipulative either anger or charm...so sad and disgraceful that he was so abusive behind the scenes and has left only the legacy of lies and devastation of women's lives behind. So much for loving others as much as you love yourself...

I’ve been working with the military and special operators in different ways for 30 years. I’ve been on staff at three mega churches in various capacities. I spent 3 hours with Ravi for lunch in DC. i’ve seen this kind of thing happen several times. Christian ministries tend to be disorganized and naïve. Just this morning, I was talking with my son, who wants to be in ministry, about having that special operator mentality. Build a team. Think like a team. Think like a brotherhood. Watch your brothers six. Have a clear mission. Have a plan. Cross train. Understand every nuance of your weapon. Stay focused. Demand integrity. Demand responsibility. When you see your brother going sideways, call him out on it, immediately. If he makes excuses, he shows weakness and will hurt the team. the mission is more important than the man. Send him to another team. If you’re working in a ministry where the leader is really a dictator, shows signs of self-centeredness, remove him, or find a different place to minister. Because, trust me, the ministry will go sideways.

Very encouraging words to a pastor.

Another aspect I'd like to talk about is that when people open up the doors to evil doings, they also open up the doors to strongmen, principalities, powers, etc. in the spirit realm...it looks to me like Ravi carried w/ him a strongman of Jezebel spirit, the witchcraft spirit, the spirit of intimidation, lying spirit, seduction spirit, the charmer spirit (like a snake) & many more. For sure, HE WAS A WOLF & WOLVES FOOL PEOPLE!!! So glad that Steve had this dinner w/ him & continued to pursue him!

Mr. Steve has bravely come forward to expose and he deserves a laud round of applause. I hope Mr.Ravi repented of all his wrong deeds before he passed away. The Bible also warns us to beware of wolves in sheeps clothings.

Jesus said and foretold as COMMANDED by THE ONLY TRUE GOD - THE FATHER: *BY THE FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM* Radical Monotheism exactly like the Jewish Prophets / Jews to believe in a uniquely ONE GOD - without any partners or equals or like a three in one falsehood called the doctrine of the Trinity - plus believing in the Messiah Jesus sent by God, and the essential consistency with his doctrine - the Muslim. The very words that the Father - THE ONLY TRUE GOD - COMMANDED Jesus Christ to say. The doctrine of THE ONLY TRUE GOD that HE COMMANDED Jesus Christ to give. The testimony of Jesus Christ on the Father: - The Only True God (John 17:3) - The Only One Who Knows The Hour (Mark 13:32) - Greater than I (John 14:28) - Greater than all (John 10:29) - My God and Your God (John 20:17) The doctrine of Jesus Christ = The doctrine of a Muslim. No wonder when they heard of this guy Jesus with all the stories of his miracles, it was very easy for them to take him as "Son of God" (and this concept later on developed in to taking him as God) as this already went hand in hand with their pagan and mythological belief system. Little wonder that those times and those places and people also had "Triads" and ancient "Trinities" and "God" in threes and stuff. Acts 14:11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "THE GODS HAVE COME DOWN to us IN HUMAN FORM!" *********** Then of course the abomination of the alleged human "sacrifice" of Jesus Christ making the Most Merciful in to some human blood thirsty vampire. As a born again Christian and former sexual abuse victim (not Ravi’s) I have to agree with everything in this video. Sexual predators are skilled at manipulating and “grooming” their victims to the point of vulnerability. They spread a dark cloak of power from under which one feels powerless to flee. The fact that Ravi portrayed himself as an ambassador of Christ is all the more infuriating. He has brought shame and disgrace to the Church, not to mention the emotional carnage left within his victims. I am inclined to think his frequent references to back pain were excuses for the disconcerting presence of female masseuses who accompanied him. I’ve always been bothered by Christians granting celebrity status to their leaders and forming “inner circles” of privilege. Knowing the propensity of human nature toward pride, a sin God hates, it behoves us to steer clear of this deadly practice. The pretext of the gospel is that man is inherently evil and therefore, only the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Son of God make us acceptable in God’s sight....not intellectual prowess, not eloquence, not piety, nor charitable deeds. Jesus said to call no one “good”. We ignored that truth with Ravi which empowered him to cast a spell over his victims as well as his “fans”. He was the proverbial Angel of Light, the great masquerader. Here in the wake of this explosive scandal, we Christians ought not hide from the horrendous backlash, but rather accept it, own up to it, and learn from it.

It's likely that they knew on some level. But someone like Ravi who many claimed to be charming, manipulative and found to be leading a double life, displays the attributes of being a narcissist. If that is the case, his wife was probably afraid of him. People like that work hard to manipulate and control the spouse and put fear in them that if they ever speak up no one would believe her because he had so many people under his spell with his charisma. She provided the cover he needed for his alternate life. But she was probably going through hell behind the scenes.

@@elizabethcavin9605 I am not saying they knew the specific details of his "side" businesses or anything like that, but to the level that Ravi was such a deceiver, like a total double life (not just an isolated moral failure like an affair) he actually displays some attributes of a narcissist. That's what I meant. I speaking to the latter part of her comment that perhaps his wife was afraid. If you have ever done research on a narcissist or had the unfortunate experience of being involved with one, they have their public persona that usually charms everyone. But meanwhile behind the scenes they are very cruel and controlling of their spouses or significant other. And that person is left in a helpless place because no one would believe the wife if she were to say he was abusive to her.

My stepfather was an agnostic although I didn't agree with him on much he said the last refuge of a scoundrel is to hide out in the church. Sadly there is some profound truth in that statement for some.

Ravi was a narcissist. I have watched some of his old ' shows ' now and he is talking about himself in the subject matter. One is called ' what is truth ? ' he talks about living a lie. Then another 2 I watched were similar.

God used an atheist to expose Ravi just as He used the Babylonians to punish the ancient Israelites.

Getting Saved under Acts 2:36-38 is core. We cannot understand the spiritual with our human reasoning - that is scripture not my opinion. Read Romans 8:5-8, 1Corinthians 2:9-16 Without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other Tongues, it is impossible to have spiritual discernment. I listened to ravi once and knew he was a tool of satan who was misleading many. Absolute confirmation of the scriptures in 1Timothy 4 and 2Timothy 4 where people will be seduced by lying spirits and doctrines of demons, and will collect to themselves teachers who please them / give them itching ears.

@@ktermalkut8332, nowhere in scripture does it say that everyone who is born again of the Holy Spirit will speak in tongues, and that lie that keeps being perpetuated by Pentecostals and Charismatics has caused many professing believers in Christ to FAKE speaking in tongues when around other church members for fear of being rejected because they don’t speak in tongues, and THAT is very disturbing. The scriptures clearly say there are MANY DIFFERENT GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and we do not all have the same gifts, but we all make up the same body of Christ. The proof of being truly born again of the Holy Spirit is A TRANSFORMED LIFE, transformed from within by the power of the Holy Spirit, turned from being an ungodly sînner to being A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST, just as Jesus promises we will be. Demon possessed people also speak in tongues in case you don’t know that, so speaking in tongues IS NOT evidence of being born again of the Holy Spirit, A TRANSFORMED LIFE AND REPENTANCE AND REGENERATION ARE THE PROOFS OF BEING BORN AGAIN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF CHRIST! We’re given a NEW HEART, and a RENEWED MIND. On the day of Pentecost, the gift of tongues was given FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE, so that the thousands who heard the disciples preach would hear the gospel preached IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. This is NOT how the gift of tongues is presented today. @@Redeemed.of.YHVH.thru.Christ following my initial response, I wanted to add The WORDS of The LORD Jesus in Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8. The manifestation of the POWER He referred to occurred in Acts 2. Seeing that manifestation of people being baptized with the Holy Spirit and speaking in other Tongues, was the exchange in Acts 2:36-39. Following that initial outpouring on Pentecost, every place where the apostles ministered they saw THE SAME MANIFESTATION and interpreted it as the Gentiles receiving the GIFT of the HOLY Spirit, (which was surprising to some of them, because the belief was that only the Jews would receive that Blessing). Read Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-6 as examples. Also Acts 11 where Peter explained what happened with Cornelius and the Gentiles, to the Jews.

@@Redeemed.of.YHVH.thru.Christ 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men AND of angels.... Can we be sure that angels have only one language or diversities even as men? When angels were sent to men, of course they speak in our language and not their heavenly tongues.

How many 'Ravi Zachariahs' are out there at this very minute? I am not referring to in-your-face prosperity gospelers and self appointed prophets, apostles, etc. I am talking about bona-fide preachers and Christian leaders who are leading a double life. Scary thought.

If you listen carefully to Ravi’s message, he never really shared the gospel message. And his use of Scripture was abysmal.

Some get into religion for the money!!! Use God their intelligence etc etc etc and others to preach a good talk but not walk it! I really don’t know much about him, but one of his 25 minute messages I liked a lot and almost went to more till I found out about this scandal. I’m disappointed in the deceased Ravi! May the Lord have mercy on his soul. May God heal his victims.

I think he lost his way, and no one corrected him. Probably because he wasn't very scriptural. He didn't give me The Word, only intellectual reasons for my faith. It didn't help me grow.

There was no downfall per se. The fellow never rose to fall. A serial sexual predator just marketed himself as an apologist, and those who didn't know any better fell for him.

Indians are still proud of him. Even in his 70s, his libido was still strong. Now the hypocrites who drolled over him are now trying to distance themselves.

The problem with people is the older they get the more uncivilized they become. Ravi should have quit the ministry long ago because he was a false preacher and a fraud mainly interested in pursuing his own interest - which is what ev@erybody else does, but he shouldn't portray himself as something other than what he was.

No justification for sin is sin, but I ask how many of us here bashing will die with clean hands? When we lust the word says it’s the same as adultry, no different than what Ravi did. Again not justifying what he did but if God where to show our sins to the world we all will be humiliated in one sin or another. May God have mercy on Ravi, the victims, and may God bring restoration to the body of Christ and the world.

Even the apostle Paul called out sexual sin and used it as an example to warn others. We must expose darkness to light-especially when this person is a leader. I agree bashing is wrong, but exposure and teachings from this is exactly what a Christian should promote.

@@estherodanga4238 I think Mr. Gonzales addressed that perfectly when he ended by asking for God's mercy on THEM as well. We are all victims AND perpetrators according to God's Word. Not in every circumstance or interaction, and I'm certainly not saying that Ravis victims "deserved" what happened to them in any way. Neither will our victim hood absolve us on the Day of Judgment. Only God's mercy through Jesus's blood can do that. I think he made that point quite well.

King David “a man after Gods heart” the only one who had that title shows what lust did to him, this is the one temptation God does not comand to fight but to “flee” run away. So I agree let’s do our best not to lust but as for you saying simple as that. I wonder if that’s what Ravi use to think 🤔. I still love his lectures. Ravi was like us all. A mixture of good and Evil. If all of the bad things I've ever done came into the light, i wouldn't have any friends. I think that goes for all of us.

Getting Saved under Acts 2:36-38 is core. We cannot understand the spiritual with our human reasoning - that is scripture not my opinion. Read Romans 8:5-8, 1Corinthians 2:9-16 Without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other Tongues, it is impossible to have spiritual discernment. I listened to ravi once and knew he was a tool of satan who was misleading many. Absolute confirmation of the scriptures in 1Timothy 4 and 2Timothy 4 where people will be seduced by lying spirits and doctrines of demons, and will collect to themselves teachers who please them / give them itching ears.

I think if his family want to be believed, that they are victims, then they should make a statement. It's been said that his wife resisted giving over his cell phones during the investigation. His daughter appeared on James Robison's show but I don't know if that has happened since the investigation or before.

Narcisists can be very nice but if u call them out some will scream at u all about them many just want an ear to hear but r totally not interested in you Jekyl n Hyde they r always right they criticize others but if u critisize them they go off on u best to just stop all contact when u can, God is exposing theserich false prophets which I beleive he was good interview

Thank you Steve for stepping up and exposing the evil of Ravi. As a Christ follower myself, I am dumbfounded as to how Ravi thought he could get away with this from the Creator of the universe whom he said he represented. There was no remorse, no fear of a holy God who can send him to hell! Although God never sends people to hell, they choose from their own free will to go there it took a lot of guts for you to do this and I truly believe God used you to teach Christians a very hard lesson. I’m so devastated as to what this has done to the name of my Saviour and His kingdom. May God have mercy on us. It was difficult for people to oppose or expose him because the Zacharias family is very powerful because of their supporters and money. A person would be ‘shot down’ and even destroyed if they spoke up. It took something like this and only AFTER he died. All this evil can often cause cancer because of what it does to the body with all the lying, deception, guardedness, etc. This has to be one of the biggest falls I’ve seen in my life but as the bible says, God sees everything and what’s done in the darkness will be exposed. I believe God is sifting the wheat from the chaff in these final days before He brings things to a culmination. May He find me faithful to the end

@@danielrutigliano7938 if a person is truly BORN AGAIN OF THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD they cannot sin and automatically walk in the Spirit because their sin is already paid for. They are walking in The LORD Jesus being in His Body and He is ALWAYS WALKING IN THE SPIRIT. If a person has an inclination to sin, they are NOT Truly Born again from their spirit. If they have compulsions like addictions, after they are BORN AGAIN which they will know and want to get rid of, they need DELIVERANCE FROM demons and those demons should be cast out or their hold over the person should be destroyed. We are saved through The BLOOD of The LORD Jesus who has PAID THE PRICE FOR ALL SIN - PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE. The walking after the spirit phrase is impossible to be otherwise for someone who is TRULY BORN AGAIN OF THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. If you miss it even slightly you have NO Peace within and your immediate/automatic desire is to get right with The LORD. Your spirit is ONE with His and you can say in that situation I and My Father are ONE. The Bible refers to people whose consciences are seared which would apply to those who are not saved/Born Again of The Spirit of The LORD, and are being warned of their misdirection, and they refuse to change their course. I am speaking from my own reality. I have a Personal Relationship with The LORD GOD, was Baptised in His HOLY Spirit with the Evidence of speaking/praying in other Tongues and have prayed in Tongues for close to 20 years - seen many miracles/Blessings, discern demons, know my Authority in The LORD Jesus Who has taught me all I write/talk about. The confidence I have, in writing or speaking the way I do, comes from Him. I care nothing for my reputation unless His Reputation is the UTMOST PRIORITY and I walk in total Submission to and Humility in His Will. I am a Glove upon My Father's Hand while in His Gift to me, I walk in My Father's Shoes! satan wanted to be like GOD. What a brilliant video. What this man said here speaks volumes about Ravi Zacharias's personality and what everybody is learning now - his power over people he worked with or met and that he was duplicitous in every way imaginable.

Ravi never preached the gospel...he is good in explaining things philosophically and make things make sense to where it seems so but proper discernment will reveal that he never did.

I want to know what was the piece of evidence that u asked him??

It's interesting how, as soon as someone is exposed like this, everyone comes out to say how they never liked him, or they saw through him. We all have to show that we're more intelligent or wiser than the next person. It's like when we hear about some conman that fooled a lot of people out of their savings, or a serial wife-abuser. We all like to think we wouldn't be taken in (and underneath that assumption lurks the idea that it's the victim's fault). But the point of someone like this is that they're convincing, charming and disarming, (as demonstrated by the conversation with this lawyer). There's no shame in having been tricked by a confidence trickster. The shame is on HIM for his deception. (People who get caught in an abusive marriage aren't guilty of being "stupid" either). The point is that churches and ministries have to have checks and balances and systems of accountability so that conmen CAN'T carry out their cons under our very noses and bring the Name of Jesus into disrepute.

Actually it's the way Christians have been taught to look up to our leaders without question. So even if a believer felt something was amiss, he or she would keep quiet to not look like a rebel. There is almost no accountability of church leadership to it's sheep. It's the same as in human corporate relationships. This is what the world in the Church. Both members must submit to leaders and vice versa in the fear of the Lord. Thus when the fault of ministers becomes public, the sheep become casualties. They live with pain, guilt, confusion and regret of a genuine Christian act of submitting to their leader. I think there is nothing wrong many are speaking up about their qualms now since Ravi is dead and gone. To put it bluntly, they feel free to express themselves now.

Well hey man, they didn't serve desert !!!! That's the whole problem.

The Lord said, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap" Our first responsibility is to make sure that we stand righteous before the Lord, not others. There is nothing to gain by justifying those who have lived righteously or condemning those who did not. Why? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ, to give account of what we have done in the body, whether good or bad! On the other hand, there are many false teachers and impersonators in the Church who should be exposed, especially when they pose a danger to society. But there is no benefit to do so when they have ceased. This course of action is normally taken when the accused is guilty of criminal actions that continues to persist. As believers, there has to be a yardstick by which every case is measured. So, which yardstick has been applied in this case, if any? And if there is any merit in doing so, what do we hope to achieve? The aim should never be to denigrate or to vilify. If we (believers) learn from the mistakes and failures of others that helps us to grow personally and to edify the Church as well, then we have done well. But if we place ourselves on a pedestal to destroy others, it is something we will regret very dearly!!,

The fact remains that Ravi the person was fallible but Ravi the apologist and his teachings will remain and inspire millions. The attorney in question who is an atheist went after Ravi the person while Ravi the apologist always had his best replies and explanations on the incoherence of atheism...

For those saying this only happened after Ravi's death means you weren't paying attention. Years ago, fellow Christians tried to warn you but you ignored them because of Ravi's popularity. If you aren't more discerning, then you will be deceived by another false teacher. We are to be DOERS & not just hearers of the Word.

It wasn't just that he led a double life, he became (Demonized). Demons are very aware of and in tune to someone who reveals even the slightest hint of exposing them. God didn't even give him time to repent, that should tell you something about how God felt about Him. Rev.22v11 Let him who is evil continue to be evil.

Vilifying people who call them out is standard procedure of cult type leaders. I’ve been to many churches with cult of personality as the theme. The hypocrisy and manipulation is impossible to describe unless you experience it. Many churches have cultic leaders who preach a theologically accurate Gospel.

This isn't gullibility believing reasonable things that happened to be false.

Einstein allegedly said, "Intelligent people IGNORE criticism." My reaction, "NOT TRUE!" IGNORING IS A SIGN THAT A CROOK DOES NOT WANT TO CONFRONT ACCUSATIONS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE TRUE. So, if Einstein did really say that, this is EVIDENCE that his insight was WRONG. Genuine/innocent people do not run from criticism/accusations. It's an opportunity to see our blind-spots and address them. If we are wrong, we admit them and REPENT. If we are simply being false accused, we confront the lie/misunderstanding heads on and kill it with truth and facts that refute those false accusations. Thank you Steve Baughman. We need men like you. I pray that the Lord will reveal himself to you in way that you can comprehend and accept. The Church needs people like you, because you are a PROPHET but the devil is preventing you from seeing it. He knows that you will expose him and his wolves masqueraded as angels of light.

People feel anger and rage when their secret sins are exposed, sins that are serving some need or desire and that they have built a rationale or justification around. I think it’s important to even understand & have compassion, that anger and denial can be the early steps in remorse and repentance. It’s not necessarily out of context of the normal human experience. Particularly if they feel the person holding them to account doesn’t have the authority to.

Power, money, and women cause many a great leader to fall.

One preacher said that the sensing within him, when something was a red flag in the spirit, was like washing his feet with his socks on!
