Loved the video and I’m so glad you’re back. I was scared you were gone for good for some reason! For your next project I’d love to see a Transmission Line or Bass Horn. I’m told they both can do things that are nearly magic, and the enclosures can be really unique and fun. They’re fascinating designs, but a little more complex. I haven’t come across anyone on KZread that seems to really understand or get into the basic theory or simulators. Plus I really want to hear your take on how they truly, actually compare to more common vented enclosures. Does the added complexity really add anything to the sound? The same driver in a good bass reflex and then a good TL/Horn in a comparison would be amazing.

I'd love a shop/tools tour if you'd like to try a different type of video ( be interesting if you could bring your build style filming and editing over to that type of video). You've made it sound like you live an apartment, townhouse or duplex so that's why I'm curious about your shop. Maximizing space and not needing a massive custom shop. Anyways, thanks for the content, awesome job as always!

Kirby I have a question. I'm building a Bluetooth speaker currently with 2 3s lipo batteries wired in series and I have a relay connected to an LED Halo push button switch because obviously the led switch can't handle the amps but my question is if I solder two wires into the negative and positive of the battery before the relay can I plug that into a charger without having to disconnect it from the relay. Main reason is I want to seal my box and not have to remove the batteries everytime they need a charge

During a prototype of my speaker build, I tried a fabric cover for the speakers, I had the problem of the fabric vibrating to much and producing a hum. I had it pretty tight, but I ended up choosing a nicer looking driver for my final build, so I trashed the cover idea entirely.

  • @KirbyMeetsAudio

Yeah, you have to be carful with using fabric in this way. You cant let the fabric rest against the speaker cone surround, you need to choose a driver that has some sort of lip (or create your own) that will hold the fabric away from the cone. Thanks for watching!
