A Beginners Guide To Building A Bluetooth Speaker
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I've been wanting to build one of these speakers for ages! It uses an inexpensive bluetooth amplifier in a hardwood box, and it sounds pretty good.

Love the thick wood! Great job!
Came out really nice! Good to see you're finding the time!
Fantastically done Robin. Always look forward to a video from you. I know they never disappoint. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Beautiful project as always - love the epoxy line.
Nice one great build as usual
Has to be one of my favorite projects. Very cool.

Great!!! Very interesting project
Well done Robin, another great build!

Looks great! Just thought I'd point out that a more ridged enclosure is almost always higher quality sound. Panel resonance distorts sound, so good choice of material. Also you may want to use some kind of gasket on that back panel to completely seal it.

Ah right? In that case I totally did it on purpose haha. That’s good to know
Very impressed with your progress, very nice project. Cheers.

That turned out great Robin. I really want one of those edge sanders🤤 I added LEDs to my TV a few years ago I thought it was just a gimmick. But it’s proven to be a fantastic upgrade! If you ever need any plastic/3D printed parts hit me up. Cheers from Melbourne 👍🏻🇦🇺🍻
I haven't seen you for a long time, I'm glad you're fine... interesting project, fantastic design and good sound

There's quite a lot of science that goes into speaker design - depth of the box, volume, speaker type and as you say material choice too. I think you did a great job, it looks good.

Thanks! Luckily there’s heaps of enclosure design tools out there, absolutely a science
Incrível amigo parabéns 🇧🇷
why pay for masterclass when Robin is here for us
Mark Dainer said to come here and see what excellent woodworking you do. So i`ll be watching from your first video to the latest. Cheer`s

Muito bom, parabéns! Robertson (Brasil)
WOW, that is awesome. I'm gonna make one for myself now. Where did you get the amplifier that drives everything from? Awesome, awesome build, thanks for sharing.

Thanks man. It was on eBay, there’s a few variations on the chipset so it might look different to the one I used
Lighting is very tasteful - not cheap and tacky like many LED applications!

So this is a 3 channel amp with the crossovers built in? Nice!

Yeah, great control built in. There’s a main volume, bass and treble for the mids (with a low pass) and then volume and frequency cut off for the sub

Nice job....it does seem that even the best speakers (for decades) have used MDF or similar for sound. The fancy ones just have hardwood veneers on them.

Thanks. I was always told mdf has consistency in its density, and no wood can match that. Hence it’s the material of choice
Awesome project, came out beautiful. I was keeping updated with the short stories so I was really looking forward to your video. Song suggestions : Black label society- in this river live version, Pantera, Lamb of God, Megadeth and of course Slayer lol 😂 great if you have a bad neighbor these bands will scare them :) Take Care

Great build Robin. How has it held up over time?

Thanks man! It still looks and sounds great. I was nervous about it being solid timber but there's no signs of splitting anywhere
@fathogwoodworking

@@RobinLewisMakes good that it’s not split with the solid timber. My lad wants an amp building for his guitar but I want it to look different to a store bought one so solid hardwood and some lights is the direction I’m heading. Thanks for the video, it was very useful. 👍
at 2:48 what kind of router bit are you using there?
@RobinLewisMakes

It’s a 45 degree chamfer bit
I am using dindinmodern bluetooth speaker, which I think is very good among low-priced speakers.
Is hard wood better than mdf for boxes? Because I have enough oak to build a hundred of those.
@RobinLewisMakes
Жыл бұрын
I've read that MDF is the best option because the panels are uniform in density, natural wood changes across a board. Is it anything that you're likely to notice? Personally I don't think so, so I'd say go with the oak
@BostonMike68
Жыл бұрын
@@RobinLewisMakes I'm thinking of build the main boxes out of mdf and cover with the hardwood for look idk what it will sound like being so heavy and dense but I want to find out
...I bought a dindinmodern speaker last time. Although it is not perfect, it is the best among the products at the same price...:)
Awesome build, love the resin line!! But the obvious question is: Does it go to 11....? :-P Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!

Hi
When you get a cordless circular saw… everything gets cut with a cordless circular saw…
The drivers sit too deep and are too far apart. For real quality audio that would be a no no
