I've always admired Stephen's musicality, but his humility and humor are really something else, and I'm really glad to have seen this interview. May he live long and prosper.

It’s impossible for this Canadian boy, to overstate how important CSN&Y were to me - and the vast majority of my friends! I was born in the mid 1950’s and the singer/songwriter “thing” from the early 70’s is part of my musical DNA. And my musical DNA has informed my entire life! Thanks Steve! Peace
What a likeable person is Stephen Stills, measured, thoughtful, direct. Makes one feel good about the 60's/70s, 90's and today.

Wow, I never knew this existed and I’m a big fan. Boy that’s a side of Stills I’ve never seen. He is a all around complete Musician. He has a incredible amount of Guitar work that is second to none. Maybe the most work in Rock History as we know it. Electric and Acoustic work. Folk, Rock, Funky Melodic Recordings. Then his Vocal talents. One of my favorite Musicians. I feel so fortunate to have seen him live at least 15 to 20 easily.
Stills just so ROCKS!! His voice is amazing. And an amazing songwriter you most certainly are good sir!! Man you sang nothing wierd! Love For What It's Worth!! and Southern Cross has to be one of my favorites!! Man you have a voice dude!!
This man can write sailing instructions as poetry and a saga!
Stephen Stills is an icon. His answers are so intelligent and truthful. I can see why important people don’t want to be interviewed.
It’s heartwarming to hear Stephen speak so warmly and affectionately about David. I spent a while touring with Stephen, David, and Graham. It was a musical wonderland, with many surprises and a super happy crowd every night. Personally, it was a lot, with three vastly different personalities that sometimes made me wonder how they could ever pull a show together each night. Age is being very kind to David and Stephen. I first met Stephen early in the afternoon in Houston. I heard a thumping at the door and looked through the window to see him getting way too much attention from ‘fans’. Opening the door to give him an escape, he jumped inside the truck, genuinely affected, actually hurt that fans could be so crude and stupid, he had tears in his eyes. I gave him a chair, locked the door and had a nice time watching him unwind. He’s a very generous conversationalist, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, but he does like to talk. This was November of 1979, incredibly, 43 years ago. We had a nice thanksgiving dinner thanks to the guys. A sit down with linens and waiters for 50-60. That sort of thing is unheard of on the road. It was a happy crew.

Stephen Stills has not spent one day since sometime in 1966 being considered an underrated guitarist.
Steve Stills was a hero of mine as a young guy. Absolutely triple threat singer/songwriter/guitarist and producer…wait, that’s four lol. Bought all the great early albums- Springfield, CSN, CSNY, Solo, Manassas… 75%+ of the music in the box set he did this interview to plug and that I also bought back then. Saw CSN live four times, CSNY three and Manassas twice …one of those Manassas shows is still in my all-time top 10 concerts. I was and am a Stephen Stills fan. Sad to see time and a rock and roll lifestyle diminish his talent and singing voice- though his lead playing got even better in the 2000s. Thankful for all the wonderful 1960s-70s music and great 70s shows. Thanks for sharing this interview.

He could (and did) ask his guests anything; just put it out there with that well-mannered, non-threatening ingenuousness, in the unique and considerately modulated voice of his. The only other person I can recall who could pull that off (and get true, thoughtful answers without attitude from the interviewee) was the late Tim Russert on Meet The Press.
You can say what you want to about the man. But the proof was in the pudding at wood stock. One man and his guitar, three voices blended in perfect harmony.
