Steep Scenic Dirtbike Trails in Idaho Can be Dangerous but Worth It!

Ойын-сауық

Today i talk about a lot of different topics as we climb up some mountains, and descend back down into the valleys. This video ends with a crash and a dead camera battery shortly afterwards!

Cool trail. I'm like your dad - 63 and still riding a Beta 300 RR with my 30 year old daughter. I subscribe to the theory that you don't stop riding because you get old, but that you get old because you stop riding. My dad rode ATV's into his 80's. Lord willing I hope to be on two wheels like that.

Thats so great that you are sharing the experience with your daughter! I am still teaching my 7 year old daughter how to ride. I am actually looking for something safer than her JR50 (which is a fast 2-stroke) to teach her on. A TTR50 would be perfect. Stay on two wheels and injury free! I'm sure you will be out with your daughter well into your 80's. Thanks for commenting!

Beautiful scenery as is common. Better than the scenery is the fact that your dad and brother are riding with you. The absolute final factor that led me to purchase a new KTM was that I knew it was the easiest way for me to take back my fitness. I've never been in better shape than when I was racing overseas. Took a 13 year hiatus from riding and now that I am back riding again, I am loving it! Body is stronger. Balance has improved. Cardio is improving fast. Directing and controlling 275lbs. of moving weight is an awesome workout. Plus you never ask yourself how much longer do I have to go before I can stop. Mostly you ride for an hour or two and say to yourself, "Was I riding for that long?" Keep posting RR. Than you! Brain T. Classic..."Yeah, I'm just a little tired." Pretty sure he was just looking for a place to take a little nap. 😁

Thanks for the great comment! I really like riding with the family! I will keep working on teaching my daughter to ride as well. Riding has been a life-long passion for me, and i would love to share it with my kids. Fitness is so important to maintain, and there is no better way to do that than riding motorcycles in the dirt! Street bikes are basically like sitting on a couch at home in terms of fitness, but dirtbikes are the polar opposite! The immediate improvement in balance is amazing when people get back on bikes. Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, this was a good ride. There is so much timber burned in these areas. I always enjoy riding with the family!

I'm only a couple of years younger than your dad but mentally I feel like I'm still 35. My daughter recently commented how I'm just young at heart, I think that's the best way to live.

I really do think that riding is one of the great ways to stay young and fit, but unfortunately not many of us can do it enough to actually do that. Mountain biking, jogging, walking, and other workouts area definitely a necessary supplement. I think you said you had started mountain biking.

I love your videos, I don’t get a lot of time to watch, but when I can I catch up on your adventure’s. I am 67 my wife is 46 and we ride mostly moderate and some extreme trails. We both ride EGL 250L (Chinese bikes, and after a little over a year and at least 300 hrs they are 100% reliable). Do spine injuries and three surgery’s I can not hike for a half mile, but because at the age of 58 I took up dirt bike riding I have an activity I can do. Which we try to do at least once a week. What I say to anyone who asks is find something you can do and keep doing it.

When you rode to the top of the rock peak and pointed out the burned remains of some structure, I immediately thought RacerRed geocache!

I actually thought the same thing! The only thing keeping me from it is the fact that it's so far away, i would never get to visit it again. I like the geocache locations to be on trails i ride and that need more traffic. I may put one up there, though!

One thing I love is that your very concerned and concise with the geocache location placements. My hope is a few folks actually get out there to find em’ and re-stake these beautiful areas that we are so lucky to have access to! Thank you for being a champion of our sport!! Cheers!

Great video, I just hate how the video makes it look like we are barely even moving along when I personally know for a fact the shit we ride is treacherous and dangerous but my wife goes that looks so easy. lol Thanks for sharing.

Video never does it justice. This stuff is really steep in real life, for sure. When you look at it on video it looks like nothing. Sounds like you need to take your wife on a trail like this one! That would definitely put a new perspective out there!

When was this? I'm looking out the window and see a lot of snow. I need to get at least one more ride in this fall before desert rides start to be the only option.
