I just got a 05 r1 ravin but the motor is making some noise i dont like coming from the clutch or timing chain

Does the noise go away when you pull the clutch in? And does it only happen in neutral?

@@bricehale6593 I am not sure then, I know these bikes made some funny noises from the clutch plates or something, but it was harmless and more of a feature than a problem haha

⁠@@bricehale6593 what could be the problem if it makes a little rattle when the clutch is pulled in? My 5VY 05 does that. Doesn’t sound a bad noise tho lol

probably loose timing chain, they wear out after a while might have to get it readjusted, its just like a car with its pulleys and timing chain it eventually loosens up and starts knocking slightly

I just had to replace my starter and the gears to start it up. it was a job but i got it done
