👯Here is a quick waffle.I Noticed a year ago,there was Alot fake people on you tube,i used to say i can count on 2 hands the amount real people on you tube.People i have known over 2 years,i have begun to realise are fake and just in it for subs ect.I think last count i had removed about 50 people.The point of this waffle?is please bunnies DON'T let it bother you.I used to be like you,but now i am in a happy place,as i put in my walk the wight video,i Dont do tit for tat,i will comment on a video,only if i like it,and if they like mine fine,if not ,its not a big deal Debs xx 💎👯 ps i think it would be fun if i did a video naming them all 😁,but its best to not let it bother you.🤗👯.

Fun to have the interviews of the costumed steam punk participants. The parade of people was awesome to experience. Wide variety of victorian charm but in every case clear people put a great deal of care and attention to making the best presentation. Enjoyed immensely. Cheers and like 103

Gosh this event absolutely oozes with positivity... totally everyone smiling & laughing, it's so great to see! You guys always make these videos fun anyway but this one seemed so upbeat with all those fabulous people chatting away in interviews (not always an easy thing to acomplish). I can't decide which was my favourite outfit but will be looking out for those green n black boots, oh but hang on they might clash with the rest of my blue hiking gear 😃😄😅. The Drapers !, this must be a full time commitment for them wow awesome. I can't believe the number of people in that parade, they just kept coming and coming, all generations immaculately turned out & each with their own twist on the steam punk theme .. they even brought horses !!! Thanks for this Nick & Jill , loved it and many congratulations once again on the 1k subs ❤🤗🤗

Hi there Christine, yeah we actually said this was one of the better Steampunk ones we have attended, not sure it helps the more they get to know us through our videos makes them feel comfortable talking to us but it was a really fun day! We have become really good friends with the Drapers they are lovely! We love how every individual puts their own spin on their outfits so creative! The steampunk festival looks so cool. Especially because everyone's just walking around the town like this is just another day in Whitby. Way better then being confined to a convention center. The costumes just keep getting better and more elaborate.

what an awesome festival. I loved the views from the 99 steps area and seeing the egor was great too. This has been unlike anything I have ever seen before. Very unique in a beautiful area, great costumes. The parade and music was awesome

Whitby is certainly a place of culture. Once upon a time, I owned a pair of New Rock Boots; they were my pride and joy. Have to admit, prefer hiking boots these days. I do admire the effort and time people put into their outfits. What a fun day out too! Love the brass band... classic!

can just picture you in New Rock Boots, i bet you looked absolutely awesome! we still are donning those hiking boots more times than not and we are still making hiking content, i have a few summer and rainy summer videos sat on youtube that will see the light of day eventually. i think im going to put them out in January again to brighten up those long winter nights. the brass band was a treat, first time id seen one there!

Whitby is stunning and a perfect armospheric setting for this and I loved the Westcliffe views ( I think you said it was called ) where you stood. Its so good that people are willing to chat as well and there were sooo many people there and the parade was great with cute horses too ! That was so fun 😃 ❤️~ Anna

thank you so much Alistair, always such a genuine honour and pleasure to hear from you, its definitely one of the highlights of my day.it is such a great day, its a ton out of our comfort zone but after filming a few of these festivals now im starting to think it is out of the attendee’s comfort zones too. they come out of their shell with their marvellous creations and we must be in the same boat, we come out of ourselves and thanks to the protective halo that is KZread we are able to talk to complete strangers and we all have a great time. im learning a lot from this! we are still hiking AND filming hikes, they are stacking up. we are back in the Alps late September and are in last minute decisions between Snowdonia and the Lakes for early September. Jilly is in talks to buy a great steampunk hat and we both love those official steampunk tshirts. we will probably wear those next time! hope your finding some solitude and tranquility in or near the Lakes at this time. all our love. We said on our last Whitby Festival where we got noticed by a fee non attendees that if you see us please come over and say hello. quite a lot of non attendees reminded us of that and it was really nice. we got to meet some incredible people off camera and have some great chats! we were filming for 6 hours straight though for this footage! when we got home we just collapsed! still humbled and amazed by the 1K! fantastic news about Scarborough! ♥️

Hi Glyn, yeah like the goth weekends they now hold two Steampunk events a year! February and July for Steampunk and April and October for Goth! hope your week is off to a good start 👍

Whitby was such a great place,been there 3 times. Beautiful area,we visited the UK a couple of years ago,and loved the country side. We definitely go back and explore it even more

So right Steve, we are just back in from a VERY long day there today. We filmed so much material. It is the Regatta this weekend so wanted to catch that, we also wanted to do a success story of the high street and we did even more things to do on a budget, well it would have been a budget but jills sandals broke and we had to buy her some new shoes. Budget gone! Hope your having a lovely weekend!

This was the steampunk one so slightly different to goth more industrial revolution type maybe we’ll capture your village folk in Octobers Goth one! it’s an amazing festival for sure ❤️

@@GENerationXplorers My mistake I'm not particularly clued up in that regard.

I had this in my diary to go but looked at the weather and binned it at the last minute, maybe should have taken my own advice from the Goth Festival when I said ignore the weather forecast and just go 🤔. Despite the awful forecast there seemed to be more people there than at the Goth Festival and more people around the stalls. I remember that couple from the Goth Festival and it looks like Saturday was not a bad day at all. Some of those costumes were amazing, very inventive and loved the tandem bike lol. Always love the sound of the pipes and what a great idea to do a parade so you can see everyone together, even the horse! I have a distinct lack of footage due to illness and bad weather so it looks like I missed out big time here - dam! Good to see you hitting 1K :o) Cheers Alan

oh so sorry Alan about the illness, truly mortified about that. yes the weather has been forecast miserable for the last four weeks and mostly has been. we had stressful palpitations about filming this festival as it was forecast thunder and lightning all day. our backup plan was to get all interviews with stall holders in the pavilion if the weather was that bad. thankfully the weather preserved and we were able to get a half decent film out of it. i do think the weather held a lot of potential attendees off though as we had to really hunt for the ones that we got. and big mistake, wont tell anyone else but the bloody gopro was on the wrong setting all day, i can barely stomach the footage. it set itself to something called “normal” where its super close up. its hard for me to watch this one back as everything is super zoomed in. where i should be getting great shots of everyone in full detail im having to pan the camera up and down womens legs. its not a great look and on the next day we filmed i realised i needed the setting to be “super zoom” which literally shows everything. its a mistake ive learnt from. hope you get better soon and lets book a tandem bike ride soon! with fish and chips ♥️ 🚲 🚲

Great coverage again guys, I remember your video from last year, looks like a lot of fun! I think if I were to go, I'd go dressed as the 1885 version of Doc Brown from Back to the Future! GREAT SCOTT! thats an absolutely brilliant idea. i cannot imagine a better idea for a costume. love that trilogy too. its massive thanks to people like yourself for the huge support in getting us here. the forecast was heavy rain everywhere last Saturday and whilst we drove through torrential rain to get there not a drop fell on Whitby that day, the steampunkers must be blessed! 👍

Have to say Steven im more tired running around doing these videos than i ever was on my hiking ones. And im still putting “private for now” one great hiking video a week. This was 6 hours of mentally and physical challenge, i think we spoke to everyone in Whitby, loved it, 8 hours if you include the journey there and back. We came back absolutely exhausted and fell asleep. The next day we filmed an 11 mile stretch of forest and moorland with a ton of ascent, skipped and swooped the entire length, great for the mind and soul, felt rejuvenated. The hiking videos will all return to schedule, probably January 2024 when those grey skies return! Thanks for the lovely comments, we love hiking, im pretty sure we are overdue a hiking meet up 👍♥️🥾

@@atrampinthehills.841there is a walk ive attempted three times from Summerbridge in Nidderdale and failed every time. Its a hike up to Yorkes Folly, a dropdown to Pateley Bridge where there is a ton of 🍺 refreshments and a climb up to Brimham Rocks before returning to free parking at Summerbridge. Ive only ever managed one or the other half of it and taken the easy route of returning by the River Nidd. Think this is a walk we could all boss if we were together! Definitelyone to think about? 🧐

@@GENerationXplorers sounds good...i remember Yorkes folly on a walk we did with the Ramblers , years ago...Pateley bridge is lovely as is Brimham rocks...even with the hoards of JBP...How many miles is that?
