    Super simple and delicious way to make fish. If you don’t have a wok, use a steamer or any large pan with a lid that can accommodate your plate. Happy Sunday! 💕

    Oh my goodness 😳 this brings me back to college days when I moved out of the dorms into an apartment. My roommate from Hong Kong used to make this for dinner. It was so delicious. She made it from frozen fillets of whitefish. She steamed the fish in our only sauce pan with chopsticks on the bottom immersed in H20 to hold up the plate -- poor college students. 😅🤣😂🤣

Thanks to your videos I have learned so much about flavors and combinations of flavors that I never thought of before. Thank you so much for another great recipe, I can't wait to make this!

    You are such a wonderful cook! Simple, but delicious. Do you have any idea what the temperature of the fish should be when it’s done? I’m sort of paranoid about not cooking it sufficiently, so I would like to use a thermometer. Thank you!

  • @FloLum

    @FloLum

    2 жыл бұрын

    Sorry, I rarely use a thermometer. You can use a knife or chopstick to poke it. If it shows any resistance, it means it is still a bit raw. But if it slides easily through it is cooked. You don’t want to overcook fish, it will become mealy and dry. Hope that helps.

    Massage the raw fillets with your fingers. That should find any stray bones. It's good to study the bone structure of the fish. Understanding that will help you find those hidden bones. Give the kids the tail end of the fish. There are no bones behind the back of the rib cage.

    if you are careful, steaming a whole fish is a lot better from a flavor standpoint. The sweetness of the bones and cartilage would be missing.
