Fun fact: Steak fingers (or rather finger steaks) were invented in Boise, Idaho in a gentlemen's club called "Milo's Torch Lounge" (now named "The Torch"). The inventor, Milo Bybee, created them because he had leftover tenderloin scraps. They are a staple food in Idaho, with many local burger joints and diners serving them. DQ is one of the few places that serve them with gravy, as most serve either fry sauce or cocktail sauce.

As weird as it sounds, the way the north and south act has kinda flipped pretty hard over the last couple decades. Biases aside them northerners need therapy.
@midnightrider1100

Categorizing America as either north or south is oversimplifying American geography. Kent is from far southwest Oklahoma, not far from where I am from. Oklahoma is not deep south being farther west. I would call it southern plains which woikd be the bridge between the south andcthe west where the land gets more open and things are more spread out.

Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great kzread.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!

Thank you Kent and Shan for welcoming us all to learn how to prepare and cook all this delicious food. To be honest, I was a Food Network fan, to the extreme…I woke up and went to bed watching the Food Network, but since finding your KZread channel, I no longer watch Food Network. And I’m absolutely serious. I knew how to cook simple things before finding your channel, and now I can honestly say that I have no problem cooking what you’ve cooked in each one of your segments. It’s a little hard with some things, because I’m allergic to eggs…I can’t eat them by themselves, and I can’t touch them…but I can eat them mixed into things. It’s harder to cook eggs for me because I can’t test taste them after, but I haven’t had any complaints yet…and I always tell whoever asks me…where did you learn to cook like this?….I say Kent and Shan Rollins….taught me everything I know.

I love this man! He cooks like I do! “That’s about 2 cups” no measure required!
I bought myself 5 of the Red River Ranch rub. It's outstanding. I gave three of them to three of my friends to expose them to the goodness. I kept two for myself. I put it in my chili recipe, and it was awesome! It'll go on anything!
Steak fingers n gravy? Must be a southern thing! Here in Wisconsin half the Dairy Queens aren't even open in the winter!

Not really a southern thing. I worked in Wisconsin this fall. I was tired of pizza and cheese curds. 😂

Its not a southern thing, Wisconsin is just deprived of a lot of good Beef related foods items(on the flip side, I'm kind of envious of the ease of finding good bratwurst). I've had steak fingers(and a blizzard) from a DQ in Alaska during winter.

I'm in Minnesota and I share your pain. I don't care if it's -15 outside, I still want ice cream.
Y'all make me hungry every time I watch y'all cook! What absolutely beautiful meals and I will bet they are delicious also!
Those look sooo good. Thank's Kent for all the great shows.
When I make gravy, I like to use the seasoned flour that I coated the meat with. In a white/cream gravy I use white pepper instead of black. I'm hungry for chicken-fried steak and gravy now. 😋

I was really hoping that someone else did this too. It seems to be a huge waste to not use the leftover dredge. I mean, it's already seasoned and everything.

OH MY GOSH! I have got to try that. That crunch sealed the deal on that!
The last time I was this early in the comment section, gasoline was still under $2! Thanks Kent for helping me make a decision for dinner! God bless!🇺🇸

If only my grandfathers would of been like you sir. You are a gift to humanity.
Kent Rollins just said “finna” I’m can die happy. I don’t even need to to make my own steak fingers, or try DQs.

Thanks Kent, Made these tonight. It's been a year or so since I had homemade cfs. I chop a quarter onion in large chunks and fry with my steak. I still can't get my gravy right but that's to be expected when I only do it every year or two.
This man's moustache is magnificent
Kent, I love the fact that you provide "Craft Services" for your dogs! And yes, I actually watched the Bobby Flay episode when you beat him, when it originally aired.
