Well a great feature of the Challenger Mk2 and Mk3 which I use a lot is the fact that when you against the Russians they seem for some odd reason to think the challenger is a Russian tank and just keep on driving. The BREXITIUM Armour makes the "enemy" hallucinate.

PhylDaily. I don't play the game but enjoy your videos. I spent the vast part of my adult life as Mechanic in the British Army working on Tanks. Does the Chieftain have the same penetration as the Challenger Mk1 to 3 in the game? Or is the Chally "buffed". As they should be the same as its the same gun, fcs and thermal sight (TOGS ) The last Chieftain was the Stillbrew variant which had TOGS as well. In fact inside the turret there was no virtually no difference between Chiefy and Chally.

It is true though, the reload speed is not even close to its real life reload, and it doesn't get it's jericho round in game, which would give it significantly better armor penetration

@@thebigsad5402 Jericho is CHARM 1, Challenger 2 only fired it for a few years until L27. The Challenger 1's sent to Granby (Gulf War) had 12 L26 rounds each for facing T72's

I love the british mbts sloped turret armour, from a good hull down postition, the tank can be reclined to 10 degrees, making the turret front sloped back at 60 degrees :D thats some good sloping

Played a game on El Alamein today and just sat behind a rock in my chally taking shots from a 2a4 on the opposite hill. We sat there for about 2 minutes while he fired around 10-15 rounds into my turret and the only things I lost were my breach and my commander. Eventually he gave up and I killed him. The challenger is one of the most survivable tanks in the game and I take pride knowing that guy spent 10,000 in shell costs xD

One better way to hull down is with ATGM's from Russian tanks and aiming barrel up over the hills and only having your secondary 14.5mm gun sticking up and switching to that ones scope to guide in the ATGM. Smart.

When an ammo rack is the only thing phly could find for the start of the vid you know your in for a boring time.

I just had the brightest idea. Take the italian tankette to a high BR, cover it completely with bushes and sneaki breaki behind enemy lines. Bonus points for spotting hostiles with cannon fire.

There is a variant of the challenger that I believe is used by Oman that has a remote turret and auto loader which would be quite interesting in warthunder

There seems to be a pretty simple solution to the barrel breach issue: An angled plate attached to the barrel of approximately 0-100mm thickness the stretches 1/2 way down the barrel, effectively creating a 70 degree angled composite that still allows the full elevation and depression of the barrel. I'm assuming the main reason it wasn't implemented is that it would affect the barrel's vertical speed, or the added weight would require engineering that wouldn't fit. Any thoughts?

Thing to know about the challenger is that the outer armour on top of the Dorchester armour is its outer skin

You need to do a video addressing how utterly broken the Object 906 still is. It needs another BR increase for certain.

i use challenger 3 too agressively basicaly i rush in with apds loaded and keep moving to diferent locations after every kill

You gotta try the Hesh rounds on this thing, shell trap it under turret rings or aim for turret top cupolas and optics, easy kills for days against hull down mbt’s who think they’re safe (particularly against the Abrams tanks)

Challenger series are one of the most rewarding tanks to play at rank 6 in my opinion. It's not a noob frindly tank like some other tanks at rank 6.
