The reason the Tiger 105 is arguably preferable to the Tiger II (H) is not the penetration; it's the explosive mass. The 88 has trouble one-shotting tanks unless they have a tightly packed crew compartment, but the 105 has amazing one-shot potential that you don't really notice until you go back and try the 88 and see how tiny the explosion is

AMX-30 is great, the heat lolpens everything (although it's stopped by shrubbery), mobility is much better than Leo's, and armour is good enough to sometimes bounce a shot or two if the enemy doesn't aim well

Plus the 20 mm is really cool for lightly armored vehicles, choppers, tracks and sometimes barrels. Once you die you take the Foch or Lorraine... I enjoy it, too bad the repair cost for France are bullcrap...

I would agree if the HEAT did not do random damage post-pen, you can go from OS the tank to yellowing the gunner with the same shot. And yeah the 20mm is awesome :)

tiger 105, premium tiger 2, ru251, panther 2, coelian, do335, me262 sturmvogel and arado, best 6.7 lineup; unless you got uptiered, which was often time.

I play the AMX-30 and love the 20mm auto-cannon, it has a field day with helicopters and CAS while also useful against a lot of engagements where you have a shot at the enemy's side, allowing you to save your main cannon shot for other tank. The HEAT round recently received a damage buff where it acts more like an APFSDS in a teir without ERA. The mobility isn't great but you technically aren't facing anything above 8.7 so you don't usually get outmatched. All in all 8/10 for me

Does 6.7 even exist i have only played 6.7 germany the last weeks and it is pure torture in comparison to playing other countries. My ww2 tanks seem to only face bs tanks like T29s and T30s that are simply better. And my armor is useless against modern heat and i myself cannot fire heat. The tanks are also slower unless i get the ru 251 but i won't. It fkn sucks i feel like an old guy trying to keep up with the young people in my tank that is like 10 years older than my enemies tanks are.

Amx-30 is one of my favourite tanks, it's got a good combination of speed, manouverability and a decent velocity on its round with the HEAT making it effective at most ranges. Although I'm probably a bit biased after suffering through the Brits who lack that mobility the whole way up.

i love playing the amx30 it's armor is well angled so it can ricochet a lot of shots from the front, it is also really trolly specially for the turret. But the most important point is the gun and the mobility, you can move everywhere in the map without a problem and you penetrate anything (400mm) even though the round is not really good it's really sufficient. If you read this phly then cool

I love my AMX-30 (1972). Liked it better at 7.3, but fast, trolly armor, good shell. Bad postpen at times but decent reload and the coaxial 20mm comes in handy

Honestly Phly you should revisit the AMX-30. It had a buff some time ago and now the HEAT on it works like if HEAT-FS and HE had a lovechild, it has incredible post pen damage and splash damage. The Tank itself is also great, very mobile, 20mm kills sneaky light tanks, the Armour is strong enough to bounce most AP rounds and it gets a decent lineup.

ACKCHYUALLY the long 88 had 235mm of pen before the new formula :)

I like the AMX-30, if you use it like a cavalry tank and can hit the flanks, you can really tear up foes with the rounds! The 20mm cannon coax is also a beautiful surprise for any flyboy who gets lazy and comes at you on a regular approach! Any game where I get targeted by planes I normally take out at least one of them!

Oh good, I love playing with that tank. It's got a hard punch and the armor's enough to bounce pretty much everything except APDS

I like the AMX-30 because it's essentially a Leopard with HEAT at a BR that HEAT is really good, it's pretty fast, great coax, decent gun and if you play your cards right you'll have an amazing game.

One more tip, keep your turret moving a bit when you can, it constantly changes the slope, making it harder for enemies to hit a weak spot

Just make your tank in a diamond angle, and you’ll be fine. Also once in the diamond angle wobble a bit, so that there is a additional chance that the shell would bounce. (Depends on the opponent as well of course.) have fun on the king tiger as well! My ho-ri would love to eat another tiger c:

The reason why the 105 is better is because the gun Barrel is bigger. Because of that the gun ans "gun mantlet"(which is like 250mm thic) covers up more of the turret front.

I found a player who had this tank and i was awasomed by it, i never saw that variant of the King Tiger 2 until now, or at least i did not notice it until now

I enjoy the AMX-30 1972, it's a very mobile MBT that has a bit of survivability, HEAT that can pen everything (though, it is ALL you get ammo wise) and a coaxial 20mm autocannon that works wonders in dealing with AH-1G spam

I love the t-80 because of it’s armour and I think they buffed it a bit and the I-153s with the rbs rockets make it a really strong line up.

I love the AMX-30, both it and the AMX-13-90 are my highest tanks but i enjoy them way more no matter what br i get than any other nation. AMX-30 has a great heat. Good mobility and that little bit of armor has often helped me stay alive some time more to finish the unfortunate guy that bounced. Also the 20mm cannon is great for taking out fiats, r3s, hellcats and object 120s. I just think its one of the best 7.7 tanks atleast for my playstyle and that why I love it

I enjoy the AMX-30 (both versions) because they both get the best round stock. It's nice to have a relevant round to use from the beginning especially when you have good mobility with a trolly turret.

AMX-30 is fun to play. HEAT is crazy. Mobility is very nice. The 20mm coax on the 1972 is super great to have, EZ air kills and works as a track/barrel eater

The AMX-30 1972 especially is nice, due to its fast speed, great penetrating gun, and 20mm with great elevation angles for shooting down planes. The hull armor can bounce things occasionally as well. Basically if you like the Leo 1, it's more of the same at a lower br, and arguably better in some aspects.

If you drop the t44 and t54 by 0.3, putting the tiger 105 and panther 2 into 6.7 was unnecessary. The only thing that would happen in that situation is that 5.7 matches will be flooded with t44-100s

@@darthcedaus then look at at American and British and French Italian tech tree, at least what im proposing is 1940s vs 1940s the rest have from late 50 ad 60s at the br

AMX-30 is fun, I play it with a shoot-and-run kind of mindset, don't want to stay in one place too long. But the HEAT shell is great! Boom and zoom

Amx 30 was by far the best premium tank I ever invested in. Extremely fast turret rotation for its br. The thing armor does bounce a lot on the turret. Or rounds don’t do much. The 400mm heat works much better than heat-fs, it flies really fast as well. Great reload rate, extremely fast and mobile with a great reverse rate. I’ve taken it into 10.0 and still managed 10 kills lol. It’s a hidden gem I guess?

PhlyDaily you have short memory,this tank had 8.0 reload no ammos in the turret...and you say its stronger-really.all germans get is nerf. and you never get full downtier. not downtier at all. and this game never had realisim at all...

premium amx-30 is basically uparmoured leo 1 but without APDS and HESH. I love this tank, grinded with it entire french tree, nearly got ace crew on it.

I loved Tiger 10,5 for it's improved mobility, survivability and rangefinder over regular one. Reload was painful, yes, but at least 105mm nukeround always did it's job.

i love the AMX-30, its fast, even in reverse, nice Turret rotation and wonderful scope. the heat shell is great too, kills everything just care for bounces. and yes it has no armor, but it dont need it. play like a light tank on steroids.
