I had to ask Francis to ring me to do an interview because the newspaper I worked for said that they couldn't afford it. Luckily Francis agreed that was embarrassing. So if Francis is reading this I owe him the cost of a phone call. But I think I have repaid him in ticket prices over the years. I am their bigest fan

Friday lunch time 5 January 1968 , I was out walking the streets of Windsor admiring the castle, when from a shop, a radio DJ blurted 'And now a new group Status Quo with their first song Pictures of Matchstick Men', and whilst listening, my Irish catholic friend chimes 'foicking Jazus Chroist, that's one h*ll of a song. I said 'it's ok I guess' 56 years 4 months and 4 days on, it's still ok I guess, but Roadhouse Blues is quite a different experience, and whenever I want to go back to 1968 and be that naive kid of 22 when it speaks to the working class heart in me, this is what I play

Dead or alive there will only ever be one Status Quo. RIP Rick.

Das wohl beste Konzert was ich je gehört habe. Mein Vater kaufte sich diese CD Ende der 90er, seit dem läuft sie bei mir rauf und runter. Ich bin jetzt 26 und es gibt für mich kaum was geileres als Status Quo und dieses Konzert. Rick Parfitt war für mich der größte, nun spielt er seit 2016 im Himmel. R.I.P. Rick!!!!!

Rick Parfitt was a great singer and entertainer to millions of his fans. Truly make you feel so energize when listening to his lively band, singing and music. Fantastic rock and roll singer. His music lives forever in this universe. You now have peace, tranquility and comfort. R.I.P. God Bless You Forever.

I heard them in 2005. My best memory was to stand on the second row and enjoy it all. They played in the Oslo Concerthouse which normally is made for classical music. That time Status Quo rocked the fans alive. I never forget the feeling.

Very interesting, I heard they done a freebie gig, for a fire brigade out west, in Aus. Can’t stop playing it.

People don’t realise how tight and proficient they were as musicians and 3 great vocalists, Francis, Rick and Alan plus John were the best line up

I am old and from the U.S., and really just discovered this band, talk about bloody - It should be SIR Rick and SIR Francis - along with any of their partners - Unbelievable - Mick and Paul hopefully met their BOSS - I bet they all knew each other - I am so in love with this band!

Man how true, never av I seen 20 minutes of pleasure from one group . Wen I was a lad back in the 50s, shouting to me mum ,Rossys is here. I think it is this guy’s father’s company. Selling ice cream. I can’t stop playing it , good for my adeamer gets the blood flowing.

Another Gig where Quo were supposed to be supporting, instead they stole the show. Can still blow any band of the stage, because they are that Dam Good!!

kakarotvegeta If memory serves right, I think it was Pink Floyd that topped the bill. Also it rained all day, except when Quo came on.... they were the only band to see some sun that day! Not a big fan of Floyd, but must admit Dave Gilmore did look cool playing guitar in the pouring rain...

Wow what a show, there is something special about quo's gigs in the late 80's and 90's! Jeff Rich's drumming is just fantastic live, it's a shame he left in the early 2000s he really drives them full pelt I reckon he's probably their best live drummer!

I saw them in 1982 at the nec, the night before prince Charles was there, they were absolutely amazing, one of the best live shows ive been to ♠️

I love how Francis switches between Boogie blues and Delta blues on his solo's. Especially on the Roadhouse Blues section.

I was at this concert and to this day it will always be the best concert i went to and been to few quo concerts. But the band is not same without rick parfitt RIP rick we miss you

They were absolutely at the top of the game here.

I've seen bands like Sabbath, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and many other "massive" bands but The Quo blow them all out of the water. I haven't enjoyed myself at a gig as much as I have at theirs. It's bittersweet listening to them now knowing I'll never see Rick on stage again.

Somehow that heavy metal lineup seems out of place in a comparison with Staus Quo.

I met Rick in a pub in Rose St. Edinburgh during the Festival. He was on his own reading a book but took time to talk to me and my Missus ...total gentleman!

Francis Rossi is the only man standing still. The day he goes to heaven to join his 2 mates then the band will be history. I wish him and the since retired original drummer a long healthy life.

I saw status quo a long time ago when in my chair was at 2 in the charts There were 6 of us in the audience We didn't think they would bother but they did Incredible evening Seen them plenty of times since Incredible guys fantastic band

Apart from the dirge Margarita Time!! This was definitely the start of the end of the once mighty Quo when they started writing pop crap like that.

First band I ever went to see live. Nothing has compared since. Been lucky enough to have seen them live many many times over the years. The boys are gods.

On of the best rock bands. First concert visited in Amsterdam 1975.... Will last forever ❤️ thank you for the joy you gave me during my life. Best song ever again heard for few thousand times 🤣🎉🎵🎶
