Amen to that brother...
My favourite Quo track ever, played this to death on Pile Driver.
From '72 - 79 they were unstoppable - great times! \m/
Can’t beat the classic quo! ❤️🎸
Rick and Francis probably high as kites, but what a result! Unforgettable; unrepeatable. Brilliant. Thanks boys.
Probably the best R&R band ever. Well they are a British Institute.
Boogie Rock is the real headbanging music.
For 45 years this has always been my favourite song of all time
The thing i love about Quo is that they are better than every single American Southern Rock band put together. Noone touches there repetoire or mastery of simple rock and roll.
it's difficult for me to put into words how fucking brilliant I think this is
Why this fantastic megga rocking party song was never a single baffles me
Don't waste my time with anything less than this. . . Rock at it's pure, untainted greatest
Quo ist the best Liveband all over the world! Rocking all over the world! (Y)
Stunning. A truly great hard rock band and Don't Waste My Time is perhaps the most iconic 12 bar shuffle song they ever wrote and performed. Magic!

Yes!!...its pure jump blues....the guitar lead melody is boogie woogie on a guitar. (except for a short mid section where he plays a delta blues break 2.36 - 2.48).
Yesssss!!! None can beat the FRANTIC FOUR!!!
100% undeniable fact, this is THE status quo, and what does this mean in english, leave it the way it was, i have goose bumps watching this, brilliant, remember youngen's, dont get anything new without there being something old 1ST, haha
Ah the good old days of the Quo, I’ll never forget my first live gig, me and my mate at the Glasgow Apollo with out 75p tickets sure it was 1972. Always remember heading home not being able to hear a bloody thing lol…..those were the days!
The song that started it all for me. Dont Waste My Time - THE definative Quo song...
Status Quo, they rock'n roll as they invented it', legendary intro, best song Rossi/Young ever did imo, Cheers !!
totally agree mate...still watch em live and they still rock, but this is the line up i fell in rock love with..absolute classic stuff.Miss nuff and spud!
Never beaten as the best live band.
I get what you mean, but I'm glad they're still alive and kickin', as witnessed by me and a full house last week in Amsterdam. Quo forever!
This friends was from when Status Quo were a vital rock and roll band.Even John Peel liked them, thanks for posting. They were great.
Always loved this band. Francis Rossi and Richard Parfitt were two of my guitar heroes.
Rossi,Parfitt,Lancaster,Coghlan...this was THE LINE UP...Rock this way for fuckin ever!
Good un, moved to Texas a few years ago so this is probably the closest I'll get to seeing Quo, probably better this way, like others here I'd rather remember them in their prime.
Listen to Status Quo for 30 years now seems like I will never get tired of them. Have you guys heard backbone yet?
This is how I want to remember them! Brilliant!
So sad to hear Rick Parfitt died today........remember seeing them on New Year's Eve 1971 at the Greyhound, Croydon.......what a night!!!!
The way it should be, Hair down & Balls out! This clip left me shakin...
Still my favorite from my teenage days.... RIP Ric....
Yeah, wish I could have seen all of their concerts from 1972 to 77. Love this song! Love it live to!
john coghlan : what a hell of a drummer! deep respect !! a real worker !!
and ever and ever it goes on.... remembers me my youth with all that music bands and concerts happy saw them live with Rossi and the other 2 having long hear and shacking them together in one row while playing
Status Quo-They never waste my time. Handmade Rock 'n' Roll with heart and soul. Thanks.
nice old footage great to see them rockin' so hard that's very cool!
They sould have stayed together and play like this forever!! Super gig it was!!
Weren't they just the Best! This era for me WAS the Best of Status Quo!
Greatest band ever in this line up. Classic Quo. Alan gave Quo that rougher edge. The soulfull drumming of John.Rick is the Best rhythm guitarist ever. Saw them in november in amsterdam...awesome. Still this was easily THE best line up. Such great songwriters. Unique band and sound. CLASSIC!
I wish they could have stayed this young forever.!!
HOW exciting is this!! Absolutely ADORE STATUS QUO!!
damn right. aint got much hair left but what little i have got is reserved for headbanging to classics like this!rock on always!
This is the best footage of Quo on KZread. So much spirit; I feel great every time I watch it.
one of my favorites from the powerfull QUO!!!!
to think this genius was invented back in the 70's, wow. even by now-a-day standards this is a f**king great song

The 70s was a very underrated decade...but I know what you mean. :-)
this is why i will always love the quo...this will always be THE line up...classic
One of the best Rock'n'Roll Songs EVER!!
the classic line up. fantastic band. period.
And their music is still rockin on .
this is one of their best songs! status quo for ever!
They had a real heavy sound when Rick was playing the SG. Love it.
My Dad i4 84 and still rocking to this
See them in the 70s they was fantastic and loud and rocking
i think this is my favourite version of this song, its raw quo!
Nice and Raw Quo...it dont get any better than this !!!!! everything now is to polished in the studio
great live version...good rock and roll !
I saw them at the Glasgow Apollo in 77 and remembered this song, among many rockers, as a stand out. It persists like all great RnR tunes do.
Spot on.Would be classic if we could see the original line up just once more!got the memories though....off to see em tonight at westonbirt,nr tetbury..open air gig.will be good for sure but the old line up will ALWAYS RULE!
Esa es "LA EPOCA" y que gran época...
I wish I'l could walk in a time machine to bring me back to this performance in 1972!! This is the real QUO!!! What a Marvelous sound!
oh wow, i remember dancing all night long to this one!!! fab!!!
I just love this,,,,,,,makes my soul rocking.......
simply awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good times used to hear my Brother Billy playing this in his bedroom note for note.
Good boogie band, was about 15 listening to this,I think I saw them opening for Rory Gallagher in Kutztown,f##cking great
best band ever rock on quo
RIP Rick. This gig was three months before I was born, but remember What You're Proposing on TOTP which got me into them. I have a lot of their records, and was lucky enough to work in a band with their '80s/'90s drummer Jeff Rich for a gig in Lincoln recently. I was in awe, and struggled to hide it. I have a pair of his drumsticks, nicely well-used and signed!
I'm not sure I miss Alan Lancaster much from the modern line up but John Coghlan is certainly missed. Looking at him again now makes me realise how much he fits. Get him back lads :)
The undisputed world champions of rock and roll 🏆
Fuckin right mate..couldnt agree more..seen both line ups live...original fucking rocked...long live Quo
we need that right now..
Absolutely the best! Think I was there for this. They also used "Someones Learning" from this gig for OGWT. Nobody could touch the Quo for a live gig in the seventies
wow! I did not know this band was even older than me. unbelievable! this band hit my hometown (Ciudad Netzahualcoyotl) in the late 80s, the rock wave was arising; and being a rock follower back them... was a huge deal. We were seen by the society as an epidemic urban disease.
High wattage, extremely high musicianship and cocaine combine to become one of the best live 12 bar blues ever recorded, as stated before. Period. I cannot get this song out of my head. Piledriver version is good, but nothing like this. Is there a complete version, uninterrupted, live at the Marquee of this out there? Anyone? 1970-1975 Quo at their best. Who cares it's 45 years later, best damn rock and roll band STILL in the land! God bless them for all what each of them have been thru, and still deliver the best music time after time.

spot on-still raises the hairs on my neck-seen em several time-never disappoint-rock on boys!
One and only frantic four status quo the best bend in the world
monster band !! QUO number one forever !!!
absolute magic!!!!!
Technically, both Alan and John weren't the best musicians around. Yet they did left a gap that's difficult to fill. John was one those rare drummers to keep it simple while maintaining that successful groove. And Alan left us with a bunch of great songs. With him, the Quo sounded more diverse. And then there's the other thing; when I grew up, my bedroomwalls were covered with these four faces. These guys are Status Quo!
@800764 i first saw this on the old grey wistle test!! then i got the album!! and still got it!!! they are the best!!!
How the fuck can you not like this!!!
les Grandes années de STATUS QUO !!! efficaté totale !
They were great !
oooh the young francis and rick, loved them then, still do !! keep on rocking boys xxx
yeah - those were the days - I remember seeing them at the Greyhound in Croydon on new years eve 71 or 72 - fanbloodytastic!!!
Keep on Rocking.
Doesn't it just make you want to be back there? Classic!
I also agree. Francis Rossi lays down a guitar melody that no one has ever managed to do like he has. Just listen to Softer Ride from the HELLO album to prove my point.
was at the live concert at the Appollo Glasgow when they recorded the live album they where then and always thee NUMBER ONE ROCK AND ROLL BAND IN THE LAND
Epic!
If any person sits still to Status Quo, then they should see a doctor OR perhaps an undertaker!
TOTALLY agree!
@Omega21456 Listened to that. Loved it! I saw them back in June at thetford forest for the first time. After that, I saw what people meant about Quo being a live band. Brilliant!
Best there is / was.. Grab it on vinyl!!
one of the best bands i saw in the seventies rocked the house. i dont even remember who they played with..how do you you follow status quo
Is this the Marquee in Wardour Street? It always looks bigger when you see it on film..!What a fantastic venue that was...even if you were standing still, the sweat would rain down on you....Great memories...
Quo at their best great band great song !!
quo live glasgow apollo best live album ever, what a sad group know,
To be honest Quo seem to get better every year
Did anyone else go to their "farewell concert" in Milton Keynes in 1984?
"Status Quo play rock'n'roll as if they invented it'...Well of course they do because before the mighty Quo it was never this good :)
