It's refreshing to find MUAs that apply makeup in a more "European" way. In the last 2 years with masks and all, I realised I somehow adapted the US way of wearing makeup over the years. And in comparison I find it a little heavy. I like the lighter makeup now, since I got my skin under control in the last 3 years - I love the skin like look. This way my base products also last longer too and it's cheaper for me - as a black women I don't unfortunately have that much of a variation in affordable foundation powders in Germany. And I switched to affordable foundation because I went through it quickly. Now, it definitely lasts longer and maybe I'll treat myself with the bareMinerals again. I love your relaxed style of videos too. Greetings from Germany. The Le Volume is so good and my favourite - I will give this one a try.

I agree! The American way of doing make up is too much. It’s more “drag like” with all the baking and fake lashes. The European way is more soft and light and Andrea makes it look amazing.

Totally agree. Sometimes it is hard because if I want to know more about a product all I can find are reviews from the US, and those are definitely not realistic to me, since I wouldn't apply makeup that way. Those makeup influencers probably wouldn't even walk around in public with the looks they create in their studios. Maybe they do that to show the product more, but that's useless in my opinion. For example, if you put on your lids all the eyeshadows from a palette the original shades can't be seen anymore cause you've mixed them all together. If you're trying to showcase or review those shadows the result won't be true to your purpose. Plus since the looks are always so exaggerated I can't understand how the products would work if used in a softer way.

I completely agree. The older I get the less I want a mask effect, and the more I want a more natural and lightweight look. Is it just me, but I find that there are far more KZreadrs from the US than anywhere else, and their looks (well mostly) are pretty much the same. Being a Brit with French, Dutch and Austrian heritage, I'm firmly in the European way of doing my make-up. Actually, you could say Andreea's way of doing make-up 😊.

Sadly, the Kardashian makeup look has had a huge influence on the younger generation of Americans but most of us here in the states 40 and over do wear a more natural look. The expense of false eyelashes and fake nails alone should end this “drag” trend. 🦋😄

Andrea love, love your content and, as many said here and I agree, you have such a unique way of doing makeup. Here in Portugal we generally adopt this style, most of the time. US influencers wear a lot of makeup, nott sophisticated and chic. The only thing they have that you really don't use to is showing more affordable options and brands. In makeup but in fashion, too. Of course, you're in Paris but I think that you understand that not everyone can afford those brands. Please try to keep that in mind

I just switched to the nu tint from YSL because I find it incredibly hydrating and beautiful finish and it’s long lasting. I got the new CT concealer in a deluxe sample from Sephora and you are so right it’s an amazing product. Everything you said in this video I love and agree! Stunning! I loved the simplicity of the routine and the introduction to a couple of new products. I will have to check out that beautiful concealer and Dior lipstick; apply the tips for application. Is the translucent powder better than Lamer's?

I visited Paris last week and I actually bought CT concealer (we don't have sephora in Lithuania), I'm so happy with it I can't even tell you. I'm 32, and I do have some lines under my eyes, but this looks simply amazing. The guy in sephora just glanced at me and gave me my perfect match in like 10 seconds :D I always struggle to choose a shade, so I was shook :D Also, Paris is lovely, can't wait to come back again (it was my third time). Feel like home already.

I love your videos and buy a lot of your recommendations. The best lip liners I have found are from Bobbi Brown. They glide on easily and are super pigmented. I also love Bobbi Brown lipsticks. I love the Dior foundation and sometimes mix it with Nars to get the perfect color when I am tanned. Thank you for your wonderful videos.

Yes september, (since my girl went to school) it feels really like a new start to me. I take more time off in the school Hollidays to be with her. And then in September she go's back to school and I go back to work. She needs new shoes and some clothes. I am able to do a proper clean I the house the little spare time I have before I have to pick her up again from school. Feels like a real beginning of the year. Everything gets busy again, there is every weekend something to do... and the hobbies are again starting. ( swimming and gymnastics for my girl and yoga for me🥰)

I notice in many makeup videos, the beginning is not with application of sunscreen. I always wear it, and it changes the way skin feels and some products blend. Occasionally, I’ll even experience pilling. Any tips for that? This look was so beautiful I watched the video twice. P.S. loved the tip of swiping the pan when it works as blush color.

Andrea, my favorites concealers are Flash Luminizer from CD and born this way from too faced! Both amazing for my skin, I’m 39. I don’t even use foundation, just the concealer and flawless filter, some powder in certain areas (learned with you) and that’s it for my skin!

I love the Nars Light Reflecting foundation and actually only use one pump for my entire face (far bigger than Andreea’s!). I apply and stretch the foundation with my finger tips and get a lovely sheer, thin tint. Just find a brush soaks up too much and then needs cleaning whereas I prefer my ‘natural’ tools! Obviously, it can then be built up beautifully on any areas that need a little more coverage.

Love this video! Andreea, what would you recommend for a sheer, light foundation, nothing heavy and also non oily? :)
