Hey, I've been away for a while, but I am back to uploading regularly again! If you are wondering what happened, check out the community tab. Note: On the topic of colour schemes and chapters. I feel like I need to clarify a bit here. Detachments made it very easy to play your Marines however you want, despite that, chapters do dictate the potential access to codex supplements, and they limit you to characters of that specific chapter. So you can't run Tor Garadon (Imperial Fists) in the same army as Mephiston (Blood Angels). I always feel bad for casual or new players watching videos like that, seeing those discount boxes and then won't be able to find the anymore. Then the next time a discount box comes around they feel like they must buy because of FOMO. It is a ugly business practice. GW reducing value of discount boxes like Combat Patrol is another sad truth :(

I got super super lucky the other week. I found a tucked away hobby shop that sold the retired 2022 imperial fist Christmas box and Imperial fist dice. They didn’t seem like a good deal at the time they came out, but with the price increases I couldn’t turn them down.

@@Sonof_DRN2004 nice catch!
I like gravis units they feels like they fit the description and lore of space marines being these massive heavily armored units more than the standard tactical units which I still like but more for specialized roles.
Great ideas! I'm looking forward to building a phobos or deathwatch army myself someday. Right now though, the rules just don't quite fit what I want to do on the tabletop. What I really want is an army that plays like the Halo franchise Spartans IIs as described in the original books where they were essentially US Army Rangers in space. Points and datasheets similar to Custodes, but with a shooting and tactical/modern realistic military focus. But I'm still planning on getting marines eventually, after I finish my necrons, orks, votann, maybe sisters... Anyway thanks for the ideas as usual.
*Sarting... ok, I'll watch the video now! 😀
I wpuld start by looking at the detachments and seeing if that playstyle appeals to you.
what website do you use for competative play list? also what mic are you using?
I’m shocked they didn’t keep the boarding patrols around as budget combat patrols
Just buy from the second hand market, and if you're into first born it can be even cheaper. Those that buy from GW like to throw their money to the wind.
TIP for anyone interested in wargaming. You don't buy Warhammer in 2024. Buy alternatives there's hundreds out there.
