This feels like something from the bygone golden age of late 2000s. Singleplayer, Co-Op, Multiplayer. All in a single game. Like the Gears of War days of old. But not just some nostalgia blast, it looks modern in design and assimilates what worked in the past into what we now know to be better and cleaner for gamers ie. better UIs, clarity, etc. Looks absolutely lovely. In terms of games outside of the purely multiplayer space (ie. Apex, CoD, Overwatch type of stuff), I think the industry is in the midst of a new golden age of gaming. I am saddened though by the lack of solid design and ideas that work in multiplayer centric games, but at least some devs, like these, have the balls to try something and introduce multiplayer back into their games. Which also extends the replay-ability to years and years instead of a few months.

What I am _eagerly_ pondering is whether *Lord Nemeroth,* the Chaos Sorcerer Terminator Lord, will make a dramatic return in Space Marine II. Planet Demetrium's heavy Tzeentch influence really makes me wonder if our fiercely formidable sorcerous foe from the first game might reappear. During the final fight, Nemeroth was in the process of becoming a Daemon Prince of Chaos, which grants him a degree of immortality. He even proclaimed himself to be _"unassailable,"_ meaning _"undefeatable"_ or _"unkillable."_ Nemeroth's penultimate words to Titus before being vanquished were: _"If it takes a thousand years I will rise again and take my vengeance upon your friends."_ Well, will he? Remember when he mocked Titus with, _"You cannot kill me, Titus of the Ultramarines."_ Well, what if he couldn't? Another factor to take into account were Nemeroth's haunting last words to Titus: _"Will you be joining us soon... brother?"_ He stated this in a very cold and calm manner for someone who just had his entire cranium mashed to pieces and while having what remained of his body vanish into the warp. This makes it seem as if the (now daemonic) Chaos Lord knew of something. Something in the future. This then raises the question of whether Titus' troubles with the Inquisition and their suspicion of him being corrupted will come into play once more. Could these words and his transformation foreshadow his return? Fellow n̶e̶c̶k̶b̶e̶a̶r̶d̶s̶, o̶l̶d̶f̶a̶g̶s̶, m̶e̶n̶ o̶f̶ w̶i̶s̶d̶o̶m̶ a̶n̶d̶ l̶o̶r̶e̶ fans, what are your thoughts? Will we see Nemeroth again, and what role, if any, do you think he will play in this new chapter? And if he does come back, will Titus be ready to serve him another helping of Emperor's justice? And yet people like you said the same thing about DarkTide without knowing the Developers and look how that turned out It's a reskinned assetflip of WWZ, it's gonna have loads of issues not work properly for 6 months and take a year or 2 to get into a good spot, it's gonna be a 7 to 8/10 max, it's literally the exact same gameplay loop as WAS A nothing really changed even the Tyrannids move exactly the same as the Zekes as it's just reused tech being the Swarm Tech it's not new and has loads of issues they refuse to fix, it's 1000 to 1200 max but that will only be on huge horses which will be rare, try 600 ish on screen mad most of the time, it's how the tech works and seems to have hard limits they can't improve

At first, I saw the massive swarms, and was like, damn, nice background scenery. Then they started getting shot at and killed! What dark blood pact was required for this level of tech magic? Seriously though, I'm glad that games are using the high processing power of modern PC's for productive purposes instead of just moar graphics

You don't play as Imperial Guard in Darktide. One of the classes is a former guardsman but you're just prisoners conscripted into an inquisitor's warband, fighting from a rogue trader vessel, using whatever junk they have available.

To be fair a Melta Rifle isn't exactly going to be a loud gun, there's no conventional projectile (the Bolter's are loud because it's a massive calibre bullet propelled at high force that then explodes), even the Plasma Gun would likely be louder, you point a Melta at something and most of the noise is going to be them screaming if they are still alive and literally melting apart. It's firing superheated plasma and relies on exchange of thermal energy, it apparently only makes a hiss, and the resulting blast comes from it actually impacting the target and superheating them in a fraction of a second.

@@estebanatachaoarguedas6321 Yeah, it effectively evaporates all water in the area instantly and superheats the entire surrounding area (obviously it would also melt everything around the initial projection as well, but this is magical future tech). If the target had a high water content, it absolutely would explode, if anyone has ever seen a material superheat, that's effectively what happens. According to the lore it's sort of like a hiss followed by either a pop or a massive explosion depending on the size of the Melta and the Target.

No as I have standards, have played plenty of WWZ and the fact this game is just a full priced WWZ asset clip with a mild facelift Literally 75 to 80% of this game is reused assets, UI, Swarm Tech and more directly from WWZ Keep in mind WWZ has the exact same gamemodes bad a "singleplayer" which you can still play will as you can here, has coop and PvPvE like they are doing here to where it failed and died in WWZ, but WWZ is 30 this is gonna be 55!!!!!!!! Why is nobody calling them out for a blatant asset clip with a huge price hike?!?! You all that downbad and standards that low??

Almost every game out there has PVE and PVP, it’s essential for game longevity. This game looks great, looks to have outstanding customization, and so far they appear to have done their research with lore. If you don’t want to play it due to your reason cool, doesn’t mean everyone else won’t be excited and play.

im sure later down the line they would add that as a mode im not sure if this game will be live service but if thats the case then we are in for years of badass content

As much of a main character Titus is, I'm keeping the helmet on for this one. Ain't no way either of us is dying to damned spores!

I love the the person who’s voice describes the games, in snow runner too. I don’t know why

I played the demo at gamer con in Edmonton and it’s epic and amazing can’t wait till it comes out

Looks bloody unreal Saber & Focus. Haven't been this excited for a game in a long time

this looks like everything i want and more. I played through the first recently and was blown away by how fluid/satisfying the combat was along with just how much I found myself emotionally invested in the story... this is absolutely going to be one of my main squeeze games lol.

Battle Barge as headquarter/hub is GREAT...hope for secondary quests too 😮

4:39 Based on the Trailer footage and some common tropes we will have Alpha Legion Sniper Night Lords Assault Iron Warrior (armor looks way to white) Heavy World Eater Tactical (makes no sense) or Black Legion Tactical (much more likely) Death Guard Bulwark That would leave out the Vanguard class out for : Emperor's Children (fits their aesthetics best) Sucks to be Thousand Sons though, apparently they are all going to be canon fodder automata for campaign/coop mode, unless they are planning for a future Librarian/Sorcerer DLC. Then again all these might just be skins and the trailer was only meant to convey the most popular tropes, but I REALLY have to question having a Khorne Berserker tactically advancing with a bolter, could've been the choice for Vanguard role and have an Emperor's Children in the Tactical role.

@@vikingking05and the name is derived from the “Rubric of Ahriman” who was the Thousand Son’s chief librarian who, in his desperation to stop the chaos mutations in his fellow battle-brothers, made a magic spell that sealed their souls in the armor but turned them to dust. Now they’re “mindless” in the sense that it’s a soul powering their armor and Ahriman is trying to reverse that botched spell.

I noticed the Vanguard Marine in Salamanders green had green lenses. I hope we can change their colour to yellow, and the pauldrons to white so that they represent the 7th Company. Moreso; that there are skin tone options for the parts that are exposed.

Hopefully we'll be able to customise Marines in the versus mode too.

Here's an idea for PvP Add some basic guardsmen grunts to the battlefield like we have in For Honor or Titanfall It will make the map more living and make the players feel like the space marine they are playing by slaying them

3:11 Riiiiight, that WARRIOR defo got vaporized

This is just THE perfect 40k game, and it RIGHTLY captures the scale of warzone in our favorite grim dark universe. It's all there: gigantic orbital battles, millions of hordes of enemies of the Golden Throne, armies of the Guard and PDF forces, Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus supporting the equipment/gear and of course His Angels of Death at work, better than they have ever looked. I was a little worried about the variety of Tyranid bioforms based on the first gameplay trailers, now you have dispelled all doubts - here you have all types of Horma/Termagant (and gargoyles), melee and ranged Warriors strains, Raveners and Lictors, Swarmguards and Hive Tyrant. You nailed it. In the shot with the hangar 2:30 (where there is a group of spacemarines, repulsor tanks and redemptor dreadnoughts) I see two veterans of the honor guard. Can we hope for the presence of Marneus Calgar in the game or at least for a small cameo of Roboute Guilliman or Magnus the Red?) I would be more than happy to see any more named characters beside Sevastus Acheran and our boy Titus (maybe a cameo of -Lieutenant- GENERAL Mira). And, please, at least ONE shot of the Titan fighting hordes of Tyranid carnifexes/hierophants in the distance. The game is already 12 out of 10. If it has a high level of optimization so that it works adequately on the previous generation of video cards, your game will go down in the annals of the history of Warhammer 40k games. You make the Emperor proud of your work. Congrats. P. S. I hope the Boltgun sternguard marine Malum Caedo will make a cameo in this game, the guy clearly was a big supporter of our boy Titus based on his taunts xD

Game isn't even out yet ffs stop it Plus I can tell you never played WWZ or you would be really worried, upset and annoyed at the 75 to 80 reused assets, UK and Swarm tech while being DOUBLE THE PRICE WHILE HAVING THE EXACT SAME GAMEMODES TECH UK TYRANNID MOVEMENTS AND SWARM FROM WWZ But yea literally the best 40K game, they said the EXACT same thing about DarkTide, look how far ended up Stop jt, standards are so important, just because you want something to be good, don't be a hype beast drone with no self control, standards or respect for yourself and your hard earned money You deserve better, we all do Oh and this game will be a mess for 6 month is just like WWZ was, plus it's not millions but 1000 to 1200 tops on a horse and it's rough, lots of bugging out, ice skating and ghosting and phantoms that remain after death that is a big with the Swarm Tech which has been in WWZ SINCE LAUNCH and still hasn't been fixed, 100000% it's in this game unfixed

12/10 You need serious help my G Hahahahaha Had to point this out separately as it unhinged, insane and braindead hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha It's a reskinned WWZ horde shooter, it's gonna be a 7 to 8/10 nothing more and I'm a huge fan of the genre but they don't do anything special or unique and it's just stand still 90% of the time and hold mouse 1 into the mass of bodies, riveting gameplay worth of a 10 no, but still gets me hard brother mane

Holy Terra, this game is god damn beautiful!

What I loved about the first one was the survival mode against hordes of enemy, I hope there is here too

Surely it will eventually if not at launch. The Tyranids are the perfect enemy to have a horde mode

Looks great! I hope the tyranids get some solid development and don't feel generic. Their blood and bullets are usually corrosive or full of acid worms which would be unique mechanics I hope aren't wasted

in MP, a terminator armor or dreadnought kill streak would go unbelievably hard.
