I am usually more into romantic era composers like Tchaikovsky, Rachmnainoff, Scriabin etc., but John Williams really knows his craft, that march is so well written and orchestrated. Wonderful.

Its just as iconic to hear the Maestro himself conduct it live. I actually got the extreme privilege to see John Williams conduct Imperail March live this year in August. He also conducted Duel of The Fates, Asteriod Field, Anakins theme and Throne room, and Finale from Star Wars. Then he even conducted ET end theme live, which I never thought I'd get to see him do live.

@@comdutch Sorry. I meant IS. I think he is 90 years old? I am a big fan of his compositions for the Star Wars movies. He once conducted the great Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra playing his compositions. Fabulous to watch. He was so happy because the mostly German audience gave him a thunderous applause

I was 11 and our theater had just gotten a proper sound system. It’s such a cool theme and makes it really hard to root for the good guys. 😉
