Well done! Sound is such an important part of film and is really under-appreciated; Star Wars is the perfect example because of how iconic and important the sound design and music are to the magic of the film.

"Film is in equal parts an audio/ visual experience" This is incredibly important, and sometimes I'd argue as far in saying that audio is more important than visuals. Bravo on another great analysis and fresh perspective.

Imaginary Ambition More inportant? No. But sound certantly is underrated and directors today don't give it the attention it deserves

oh i don’t know - i think the statement “sometimes i’d argue....” is 100% accurate. there ARE scenarios where audio is more important
Holy moly. I never would have thought Lofi House and Star Wars would make such a good mix but it does. Your video essays are so inspirational! ✨🔊

Awesome job. Little nit-pick, the guy with pink shorts is actually a boom operator. The sound mixer usually has a separate (seated) setup where he controls the various microphone levels, and makes sure the boom stays out of frame while recording. This used to record wires, but a large portion of the sound industry now uses wireless booms as they've become more reliable.
That editing, is just so fucking mesmerizing and smooth
GOD DAMN THE KAPTAIN HIT US WITH TWO VIDS CLOSE TOGETHER
1:58 I love the way he pronounces "evil" here.
Editing, pacing... Your ability to tell a story, to elegantly express an idea in such a reasonable way. It's incredible. It's so good. You are an artist.

your editing is so good that I enjoyed watching the ads
2:30 - 2:32 ...Ok, now you're just showing off. Beautiful editing.
I loved the editing at around 2:30 with the cutting of the pole! I really appreciate all the effort you put into your videos!
Every aspect of your videos seems so incredibly thought-out, you can really see the hard work that went into it. Love your videos, keep doing what you're doing
I think we can all agree that star wars video essays make the world a better place.
love love love, every episode you come out with man! Keep it up!!!!
Your editing never ceases to amaze me
Looks like I wasn't the only one surprised by more content this week. Awesome stuff! Also one of the few channels i appreciate the format of the sponsorship. Using the format of these bands/products in your own 'video style'. kudos.
Your videos are so good. From topic, to research, to editing, and design, they're all spectacular. keep up the good work! Thank you.
A magical week, thanx for the 2 videos!! keep it up
Appreciate the second video!!! Great as always!
you're videos always enlighten me on things I don't know or have minimal knowledge about and it's pretty cool.
I'm glad you're getting sponsored! Means more content in the future, and i love your vids man
Thank you for making this, Star Wars has always been a huge part of my life and I was very pleased to see your take on it. Keep up the good work!
Wow! You bring up topics that are so refreshing. Even though the sounds of Star Wars were so iconic, I kinda took it for granted without realizing how deeply they are embedded in our memory from childhood and why so. You make me appreciate the things I loved and grew up with even more than I thought was possible. Can't thank you enough for that!
I appreciate your videos so much. I took for granted the sounds of Star Wars until now, keep coming up with these unique masterpieces!
2:28 - 2:33 Those edits were so great.
Another great video essay! Never put much thought into the Star Wars so this video blew my mind!
I absolutely love these. Everything Kristian has done so far nothing short of amazing. Great work.
Your editing is the vest I've ever seen on KZread. You're quite possibly the best channel on this website. I love all your videos and i cant wait to see what you do next!
Your love for the source material really shows through. Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for another great vid man, always like learning new details of longtime interests
Hats off to you, two videos in a short span. Great work once again.
You deserve a million subs. Beautifully crafted, educational and informative, emotion-activating content. Don't stop, please!
I legitimately find myself shaking my head in amazement after each one of your videos. Your content is legitimately important. This is the kind of content that can take your average person that simply enjoys art because it entertains them and turn them into someone that strives to more fully understand it, and therefore have a greater experience from it, no matter the medium. Incredible stuff.
You are spoiling us with such well edited videos and insightful commentary! Keep up the amazing work
You make such good quality videos. Your Editing, sounds and content all together is amazing. Especially that intro. I get goose bumps when I hear that lil intro 👌
Sick video as always, and love the cheeky DJ Boring track
Wonderful job! I enjoyed the video and audio!
Amazing work - love the nod to those nines used by Jango
I just can't believe how good ever single one of your videos are! Great stuff!
Whoa - 2 within a week!?! Thanks for this - truly. When I actually think about it - there are so many SOUNDS from this entire franchise that I can pick out and know just from watching so many times over - thanks for bringing that to my attention. Keep up the fantastic work.
Beautiful, simply beautiful. Keep up the amazing work.
Possibly your best video yet. Loved it!
dude i respect and enjoy what you do, and how you do it so much that i watch your ads. keep up the good work!
Every video you've made so far is beyond good. They're incredible, and you should be proud of your reputation.
Thank you for an absolutely stunning video. Your editing skills are spectacular and now I am definitely going to look out for particular sound effects in the Last Jedi this weekend. Keep creating more amazing videos, can't wait for the future of the channel!
Dude, you keep belting out these brilliant, high caliber informative videos. This was fantastic and illuminating. Thank you so much for all the excellent quality work your produce. Keep it up man! :D
As a sound designer, I really love videos like this. All your videos are fantastic. Also DJ boring for the backing track. You are a legend, never stop.
I was surprised with the upload, awesome video man!
Great video as per usual!! Thanks!
another fantastic video! keep up the amazing work
I decided to watch the video before commenting. Great work as always Kristian! True epics like Star Wars deserve to be accompanied by showy sound design. It's always fascinating to look into the trailblazing craftsmanship that went into that original trilogy.
SIMPLY AMAZING your channel is hands down the best thank you for this dude!
This was so incredibly fascinating I watched it twice... You're awesome. Never stop!
Every time I see a Star Wars space scene I get goosebumps and tears in my eyes. It's so epic. And this video actually made me think about it why that is. It's unbelievable how well the folks back then did their jobs with SO limited technology available to them, it's mindblowing. Excellent video, absolutely recommended, not just for fans.
Another excellent video! Just two weeks ago the intern at the company I work asked about great sound design in film, so naturally I pointed him towards Star Wars. I will be showing him this video, because I can't explain it any better then you. Thanks!
Did KaptainKrunch just hit my senses with a Double Slammwich within a week?? What a beautiful time to be alive...
Your content is always on point man keep it up.
I first saw the original Star Wars when I was about 4 years old in 1993. A local theatre was playing A New Hope. I distinctly remember being blown away by all the sounds that I was hearing. Especially the fight scenes. They really did an amazing job.
You are totally right! Every single one of your videos opens my mind to something i've been missing.
I always look forward to your videos Kaptain. Your style and quality stand out from the crowd.
The insertion of Mcquarrie paintings is really a fantastic addition. Acknowledging both kinds of visionaries.
Beautiful as always.
Every one of your videos is like going to film school, so much condensed information. And the best thing is, there is never a single frame without your own personal touch, when it would be so easy to just talk over completely unedited footage. Love it! Also... "This week's episode"? Oh man, does that mean you'll be trying to release these weekly, what a treat that would be!
This is the best one yet. Kaptain, these are getting better perpetually and exponentially 🤘💪🔥❤
Keep em coming, each one is just as good as the last!
KaptainKristian + Star Wars? Yes, please! Seriously though... Two new videos in the span of 4 days? I'm so happy!
Absolutely amazing video!
Yes! I've been waiting for this video
I am so obsessed with this channel. Everytime a video is uploaded I feel blessed af.
Love your work, thanks for the great upload! Also always love the picture of the dude in the booty shorts, but I'm pretty sure he is the boom-op, where as the mixer is off in a corner with his/her cart full of recording devices, listening to the sound as it comes in and changing levels accordingly (and yelling at planes as they go by).
So glad you mentioned the sound of the seismic charges from Attack of the Clones; those are some of the coolest noises I've ever heard
Wow another great video Cap!
Your videos are an inspiration, they make me want to make something like them. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for showing the asteroid field scene from ep 2. I've always loved that scene entirely due to the sounds that are made by the bombs and missiles and what not
I love how much fan-created stuff he integrated into his edits and transitions.
You know, I'm actually really digging the "sponsored" content. So far the sponsors have been quality service providers that are very respectable, and the Kristian's content has only gotten better. Good on ya, KaptainKristian. Keep it up!
The fact that you discuss something I love in every video is amazing.
Brilliant as always!
the best editing I've seen. Truly incredible
Been waiting a while for this one
Keep up the fantastic work. xx
The sound design of Star Wars & Indiana Jones both left such a huge impact. There's a whole audial aesthetic going on there which you just don't see in many movies now. Indiana Jones - for instance - beyond the visuals the sound design played a huge role in giving it that grimy actiony feel to it. Great video!
