Two videos in a week. A lot of work for this broken Tot, but I made it work. The long awaited crossover is epic and will go down as one of the best episodes of Trek ever. I can't wait to hear what you all think. Be sure to let us know what you think, share and help us out! It means a lot! - Mr. Tot
Both actors really embody their animated selves so well. The only thing that's a bummer about this one is that it only lasts one episode.

@@micahnewby7964 Actually that's an interesting thought. We've always gone backwards in time (ignoring Discovery). What if SNW was pulled into the Lower Decks era for some reason. It's a unique opportunity because for the most part, we've always gone forward with each successive series, so it wouldn't make sense for them to time travel to the future. But now, we have two shows from two different time periods on at the same time. So they could jump forward in time to the Lower Decks era with the two casts mingling together.

I loved this episode so much! I think my favorite part about this episode is that I was so caught up in the crossover aspect of it all that I forgot about the mention of the NX-01 having horonium. So by the time Boimler had that Eureka moment about the NX-01, I completely forgot about it. Ransom calling Una the “hottest officer ever” is hilarious. I just loved all the ST: Enterprise references in general. And Boiler calling “RiKer” while doing the Riker maneuver in an episode directed by Jonathan Frakes. I also loved the changing of the history, giving Orion _scientists_ the credit for the discovery. The scene of the animated SNW crew and the way it breaks the 4th wall was the honestly the best part second only to seeing Mariner and Boiler geek out the whole time. And I think there was a reference to Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind in this episode. Who was Pelia quoting to Boimler?

Pike took a more peaceful approach to the Orions due to Boimlers influence. That encounter could have gone sideways very quickly if Boimler hadn't been there, sideways enough that Boimler wouldn't exist. Boimler only exists because Boimler changed the past.

Can’t wait to revisit. Hard to shut my mouth on this and wait the week. So glad everyone is enjoying this
Noel Wells could have done live action Tendi, but that would have taken light away from the SNW crew. Definitely feel this is circular time travel. It always happened. Without Boims, Pike would have handled the Orions differently, and Tendi might never have been born. I hope there are small callbacks to "future boy" and "future girl". The very next episode has to do with a Klingon diplomat (as per Ready Room). Pike got his pep talk for being a diplomat. Uhura got her affirmation that all her hard work will be acknowledged. My prediction is Spock goes down the stoic path BECAUSE of his feelings for Chapel. And only in TMP does he get closer to finding balance.
"smiling the entire time" pretty much sums up my experience with this episode.

Agreed!
This episode certainly did not disappointment and definitely surpassed my expectation of such a bold crossover. Also, was this history in the making with an animated series and live-action series within the same franchise do a crossover episode? I definitely would also to include in giving props to the writers for coming up how they could do a crossover with SNW and Lower Decks. For me, I was able to relate to Biomler as a Star Trek fanboy. I probably react the same way if I was to meet Pike and Spock in person, and find myself on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701. That is why I love Lower Decks and it being a series that plants a lot of easter eggs and references to previous series, movies, and characters. i wouldn't mind using Lower Decks to do more crossovers to other Star Trek live-action series. makes me wonder if they can do what was done in DS9 and integrate Lower Decks characters into a TOS episode, or maybe even in a TNG, or DS9 episode.
I could go for more live action Lower Decks. Epic Crossover.

In the LD trailer for season four there is an allusion to it, but I think thats it.

Speaking of Jack Quaid's height, does this mean that, canonically, Shax is like, 8 feet tall? That's really the only thing that bothered me; in LD, Boilmer looks like he's supposed to be, what, 5'8" or something? So seeing him tower over everyone else here was a bit disconcerting... not that that could be helped. But yeah, this ep was a blast!

@@danpatrick5414 Top 5 Treks of all times was paraphrased from this video - I was questioning that assertion
Star Trek has always held to logical science as a base for its cannon. I struggle greatly to understand how a "Time Portal" can perform a crossover between a cartoon (something humans write and create the graphics for purely from there ideas) and portrayed reality characters from what I had always hoped would be kept as real as it can be for a potential future. I'm an original Treki and I'm saddened by the fruit color rainbow (LGBTQSHIT) cartoons and reality characters together, really bad skits and scenes that don't make sense except to zgeners. I'm ashamed to have been a treki and I'm giving Star Wars another look (even though Disney will destroy it just like Paramount has destroyed Star Trek). Our future is dim because our hope has been woked.
A juvenile mess..........Infantile writing, cartoon silliness and Pike just keeps on cooking.......They completely erased the TOS legacy with one show.....Congrats......
Folks, this stuff is real crap. Its like Sci Fi Channel going from Science Fiction Channel to Sy Fy Imagination channel with Wrestling as the star show. Seth MacFarlane is cutting a new path for us die hard Science Fiction buffs with "The Orville". The Orville will dominate and literally wipe the new Star Trek woke crap off the networks with major failure. I started off watching TOS (The Original Series not The Old Scientists) as a small child and grew up on the ideology of a future that had potential to improve and now all I see are Star Trek episodes where the preaching of what we have now in our own century was right all along and adopted by the future so that all could live in harmony. WRONG!!! you got it wrong. You didn't get it the first time. It wasn't about forcing their opinion on your thought processes. It was about exploration, discovery and bold adventure with great characters who had strong bonds and ideas that worked. When they would discover their failings they would change as we all should yet we haven't. Let Seth catch his breath with all his other projects, making the big bucks, and he'll come back to The Orville and keep it on track to giving us old Trekker's what we really want to see. I brighter future with greater potential than seeing what we have now.
This episode was an obvious attempt to get viewers to watch the cartoon series "Lower Decks." There are only 10 episodes a year of SNW to watch and wasting almost 1/4th of this episode on a cartoon is a shame. Worse yet, apparently a later episode will feature the crew of Enterprise singing and dancing thorough the ship. SNW is not a joke or a cartoon feature and if CBS keeps up this nonsense it's going to lose paying viewers. What's next? "Beavis and Butt-Head Stow Away on the Enterprise"?

What's even more stupid than the show was all the akalaids you see in the comments stream here. Its as if it was just as normal as it should be to have cartoons with reality characters. Never was big on sports and every time I got around a jock asking about my favorite team, Star Trek TOS (The Original Series) and TNG (The Next Generation) (Had to make that clear to the idiots) I was always proud to say Star Trek. Now I'm just going to have to be not so proud and say Star Wars (at least until Disney completely ruins it as well)>
