STAR TREK: PICARD | Season 3 | Terry Matalas Interview

Ойын-сауық

Neil sits down with #StarTrekPicard showrunner Terry Matalas to discuss crafting the final season of this epic sci-fi adventure.
In the epic, thrilling conclusion of Star Trek: Picard, a desperate message from a long-lost friend draws Starfleet legend Admiral Jean-Luc Picard into the most daring mission of his life, forcing him to recruit allies spanning generations old and new. This final adventure sets him on a collision course with the legacy of his past and explosive, new revelations that will alter the fate of the Federation forever.
The final season premiere's February 16 on Paramount+ in the US and comes to both ‪@PrimeVideoUK‬ and ‪@paramountplusglobal‬ in the UK on February 17, 2023.

Oh god I hate the Star Trek fandom. You CONSTANTLY make up your minds BEFORE the shows even come out. This thing isn't out yet and you've all already decided it's awesome. Same thing happened with Strange New Worlds, everyone had already decided it was gonna be great before it was even made. And in the end that shit was actually boring as fuck. But you can't say that because it's cLaSsIc sTaR tReK And with Discovery and the early seasons of Picard you all decided they were gonna be crap without having watched even one second of it. You're all just a bunch of sheep.

Wow i wish i was so lucky to get to speak to the people that brought me up as my mother as physically she was there might as well have absent so i sought solitude in Star Trek The Next Generation when i was 14 but seeing a meteor pass the earths atmosphere with my naked when i was 5 which fascinated me i just thought again 14 when i first saw TNG oh my god this could be possible we can go to the stars and thus Picard Riker, Troi and Beverly became my mother through my teens and Geordi was my uncle and Worf was the tough love father :) so if you speak to them again please say thank you for the characters they magnificently portrayed that helped me through really rough times and Picard season 3 i was ready to bow out after seeing the first 2 seasons but giving this first episode a chance i am so glad i did as the tone, the music the directing, the camera movement the cinematography and as a film colourist myself it just all has come together in this 3rd season. thank you so much Matalas i love you for this.

I grew up watching TOS as a naive nine-year-old living down under at the same time as watching the event landing on the moon way back in 1969. TNG would not be made without the original cast in movies as well. Thank Gene Roddenberry for creating TNG too.

So every fan has to stay off line for 24 hours to avoid spoilers. Note to Paramount, simulcast with the States like HBO and Sky, so we don't watch illegally, unfortunately the plots are everywhere online once aired across the pond! UK fans have been burnt with Discovery being pulled off Netflix with no warning, when Paramount wasn't in the UK, so you owe your international fan dearly. Im watching elsewhere at the same time as the states!

There was no virus or code 3 in Star Trek TNG Best Of Both Worlds. That total bullshit line has totally ruined the show. The Writers are terrible and its like they have NOT seen every episode of TNG and did NOT use Fact Checkers. This show sucks and has really let me down and disappointed me please sack the writers and producers and hire new people that used to work on the original TNG. Canon for TNG is like the most important thing in the world and this show does not care about it and just makes up total nonsensical lines that are illogical ... they should have let the TNG crew write the scripts.
