DIO could have easily gotten revenge with a sky scraper if star platinum can throw a building- the world is stronger than star platinum but jotaro has plot armor btw DIO could have learned to move in another stands time stop but he never knew that a stand with the same abilities existed so he never got the time to adjust since jotaro pulled time stop from the deep pits of his arm pits

To everyone bitching about how this is the same character that lost to a rat: You missed the entire point. The point of the fight against Bug Bitten and Ratt was to show that no stand is invincible. That no matter who you were or how powerful you are in most situations, there is a stand with the perfect counter against you. The whole point of the Stand power system is that "numbers" don't matter; your creativity in utilizing the abilities you do have does. This is why a stand that can make sound can defeat a stand that basically makes you "hair spiderman". This is why a stand that controls the weather can defeat time itself. Why a stand that can make zippers can defeat one that can rapidly age you. And so on and so forth.

I think its mainly also that the OVA gives the character more out there feats like Dio throwing a boat and Avdol's fire just appear more impressive then what the 2010s anime had. Like if the ova adapted the rat fight they probably would have done more wild stuff
