Jotaro doesn't mean any disrespect towards Holly. Deep down, he loves his mother but for some unknown reason, he feels embarrassed whenever she expresses love towards her own son. And personally, I can relate. I love my own mother, yet I somehow feel embarrassed when she shows love to me. But unlike Jotaro, I keep the insults to myself because I know better

You know, the fact that Jotaro risked his and his friends' lives proves that he cares about his mother more than anything in the world and prioritizes her safety over his own, Jonathan genes started kicking in.😅

I remember reading a JJBA fan comic once about Jotaro during his first high school days, suggesting that he went from a sweet boy to cold-shouldered rebellious punk from being bullied hard for being half-Japanese. I don’t remember how much of a front it was supposed to be, or if it was more akin to losing one’s innocence, before softening up again during the events of Stardust Crusaders (I guess it was like Jotaro healing, afterwards). Honestly, it’s the best explanation I can think of for such a shift in ‘personality’, even though Jotaro is apparently still a very caring person deep down. I know there’s such thing as a rebellious faze but isn’t the change kinda major? I know it’s JoJo, but I can dream, right?

That makes sense, his demeanor is one of someone who has anger management issues, and frankly he does and only mellows out in the future (i.e. noticeable in Diamond is Unbreakable and a bit more in Stone Ocean) He does exude a ton of masculinity so that definitely could be attractive, at least. Plus, like all male Joestar descendents, they are huge and powerful, so aesthetically pleasing to boot.
