Hi Chad! I have purchased your course already and enjoying it thoroughly (RCA section is still pending at my end). B/w Lean and Six Sigma which one is preferred in most situations and why? Also i have noted that in most cases you recommend Lean/ Kaizen over Six Sigma too. If you could learn or practice only one to improve operations which one would you pick and why? Are there any specific certifications in Lean which are well respected in corporates? If yes which ones? Thanks in advance!

Hi man. I am confused about something I hope u can help. I want to build a career as a business manager/general manager and eventually end up as a CEO for a company. Do I take the lean six segma belts as a start of this career path? Does it help me in this?

I think it depends on the hiring manager and if they know what they’re really asking for. As a whole, I’m going to respectfully disagree with you. Many hiring managers will ask for six sigma experience because they feel it’s synonymous with quality. I’ve worked for and with some big brand names over the last 3 decades - including hiring people for positions, myself. 20 years ago - I’d as for six sigma. - not today! I don’t even ask for it as a requirement. I ask for Lean, Kaizen Experience and RCA experience. I’m not the only one who feels this way-The Avery Point Group conducted a research study of over 7000 job postings. The results revealed that Lean outpaced Six Sigma by 129% and that gap is widening. I’ve worked as a Master Black Belt for years. I can tell you from my own experience, I’ve used the six sigma part of my experience about 5-10x in 20 years. I use Lean, Kaizen and RCA every day! Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth. Appreciate all input and comments, so thank you for sharing. 🙏
