That’s why he wanted Ryan to be raised by his mom, he saw how Homelander turned out.
Giancarlo Esposito chains together lines of dialogue like a DMC5 player going for an SSS rank and I am here for it.
Superman : Man of Steel Stan Edgar : Balls of Steel
"Homelander, You're not our most valuable assets to the Los Pollos Hermanos Family."
Stan is so incredibly fed up you can tell. The incompetence and the childishness is so angering for him. But he can’t lash out because he isn’t an animal.
Giancarlo Esposito doesnt have to try to be a badass, he just carries this aura around him. im sure hes a sweetheart irl, but on screen, he's such a badass
Stan Edgar is like the chessmaster who never loses, he's cold, logical and above all he doesn't let his emotions get the better of him.
I like how Stan admitted to Butcher that stormfront did in fact bother him, you can tell there’s a subtle line of respect Stan has for him because he never would’ve admitted something like that to any of the seven due to how much he despises them and feels as though they’re beneath him
Giancarlo always manages to play villains you love to root for.
Giancarlo Esposito is so damn good in every role he’s cast in. He plays Edgar flawlessly.
7:05 - The man is genuinely happy for the only time because the company image improved AND he gets to humiliate Homelander. Hilarious
4:10 is the only moment where we see genuine emotion from the man
I love Stan's reaction at 3:25. The quiet contemplation then that almost sarcastic "that's hurtful" from Stan was brilliant.
Best of stan edgar, so like every scene
8:47 omg he's cookin' him 🔥 😂😂😂

"It's your party, you can cry if you want to" 😳
"As for you, 53% might DVR." 😂
"But hey, it's your party. You can cry if you want to." Absolute gold.
Seriously, Stan is best character on the live action version of this comic. I like that he isn’t overused but when he shows up his dialogue and delivery is flawless.
Stan Edgar is nothing short of a badass boss and I enjoy every minute he is on the screen.
"You are simply, bad, product." Gus moment
Giancarlo is literally the best at serious scenes. He is an amazing actor. Props to him!
7:29 homelander as the doors close like🥺
I really could see him as Xavier a variant with his characteristics from Xmen would really be authoritative and demanding without being weak bodied or mind. I really love his acting skills and how leadership, he holds out as being more menacing. I can seem him being much like Xavier from The Boyz if he injected himself with Compound V, Or A stronger one that control anyone's mind much like mind control or Corrupting Military Assets or Much more Worse the Government.

Stronger of a telepath than Xavier?

He would be like prof x+magneto from the old movies in terms of character

Actually he does play Lex Luthor in the Harley Quinn show
The best part is that Homelander can tell when others are scared or intimidated, Homelander knows Stan isn't even afraid of him.
The fact that Stan respects Butcher more than Homelander 😮

I don't think anyone that really knows Homelander respects him at all 😅. They're just afraid of him
It goes to show you don't always need superpowers to control somebody. And Edgar is the true example.
"You can never trust a Homelander." -Stan Edgar
Despite being a "bully" himself, Stan is the perfect example of what happens when you stand up to a bully, you take away so much of their power. Kinda literally in this place.
The way they've made tons of changes to the boys for this series I wouldn't be surprised if they gave stan some kind of over powered ability and I am all for it

Charisma is the only power this man needs.

The whole thing about this character is that he doesn't have powers in a traditional sense but has the power to bend other people to his will
imagine being a superhero with lazer eyes and super strength but then getting talked down to like your nothing by a man who owns a fast food chicken business
6:57 Notice how he takes a look at homelander right before he gives starlight the promotion “Oh I’m gonna love this”
"My schedule is pretty full but I'll try to find you a window." Homelander yet again pretending to be strong and thus proving his weakness.
4:09, that is some of the best acting I’ve ever seen
2:05 Fun fact: In this time stamp, one of the pictures on the walls is Saul Goodman, Saul Goodman was the Lawyer for Jesse Pinkman and Walter White, which Giancarlo Esposito (Stan Edgar) played in as Gustavo Fring in the hit show Breaking Bad.

Legendary
Giancarlo Esposito brought Gus Fring into a superhero show and it honestly works
5:43 loved that smile and tone of his. Literally like he found a brother soul Lol
Can we say that in season 2 everything was lighter, but in season 3 it’s looked darker and lighter at the same time, and season one was darker, What I mean is the screening for each season, And one more thing in 5:52 It looked so realistic, anyone else thinks so
He needs to return, he’s the true main villain of the series.
"That's hurtful" is the hardest line-read in the world.
Hes my favorite. Defeated the strongest, monstrous human being in the group without even touching him
“As long as I am ceo of vought, home lander is under control” 👀
I loved the dialogue between butcher and Stan Edgar. He puts both Butcher and Homelander in their place with one line.
"That bottemless gaping pit of insecurity you call a soul." Ouch.
Its all fun and games for homelander until stan grabs a boxcutter
Even Homelander knows not to mess with Anton Castillo
“Bad product” hits so hard.
Not sure if anyone noticed, but stan edgar knew full well homelander couldnt hear him once those doors were closed. It's shown before that it's used to stop him hearing.
i cant believe they got the ceo of los pollos hermanos to act as him
