It's because he knows what he is exactly doing and doesn't step foot on the gas pedal too hard. Unlike Homelander, Edgar himself stays at the very thin line before it breaks and still knows how to cover up for the entire company with ease.
In the comics, “Bad product” is used as a final conclusion to determine that financing “superheroism” was a massive mistake. Here, it’s used as the culmination of everything Stan believes and KNOWS is true of Homelander, and the ultimate insult to his pride and ego. Both used differently, but excellently.

A nice detail is how they added a lot more scenes where Homelander uses his super-senses and x-ray vision. "Unbeliveable. 80 over 60." My favorite part about the Boys is the relationship between Edgar and Homelander. No matter how clever or in control Homelander feels or acts Edgar is always there to put him back into his place with nothing more then a few words and a sarcastic smile. In many ways it makes Homelander even more scary because it shows he's never really in control of any situation and someone who's that powerful but never really in control makes him far more dangerous then someone who is because you never really know how he's going to react.

The writers knew exactly what they were doing when the had him say “bad product”
What makes Stan so effective against Homelander is he's never trying to actually insult him. Homelander is always trying to get a rise ofnsime kind out of Stan (like a child) whereas Stan is simply being honest about what he believes and/or what needs to he done in the company. That's why ol in this scene Homelander loses: he's trying to hurt Stan's feelings, but Stan is simply telling the truth. And as the old saying goes: truth hurts.
The fact that he remained so calm during the entire thing…
The way he looked at Victoria Neuman when he was being escorted out is probably the only time he’s shown emotion.

The funny thing is what Edgar says to Homelander about not having anything to approve of is basically the same as when Solider Boy later calls him a disappointment. Both of his daddys not being happy with the finished product.
This scene between Homelander and Edgar feels like a study comparing the sociopath to the psychopath.
This was his part time job when he had free time not working at Pollos
The music that plays right after Homelander says "it's the dawn of the seven" gives me chills.

Those were his supporters though. We haven’t seen the reaction of others yet.

@@thangfahsavung9120 the politcian who was at the nation conference must be crapping themselves and the I told you so moment
He is Homelander’s daddy, Homelander was seriously trying to get a response from Stan like how a son does when his dad goes quiet.
Don't worry guys Stan chicken restaurant business is booming.

Homelander at the end almost hit him with the 🛎️ 🛎️ 🛎️ 💥
Giancarlo is an amazing actor. Every single speech of his sends shivers down my spine. Just like @ 3:21
This makes me want Stan Edgar to get back on top so much more now!!!
I love the blatant disrespect he gives Homelander completely ignoring him and then just cutting him off love that little detail
They be releasing the boys content quite a lot, season 4 def coming soon🙏
Even at this moment Homelander believes is his greatest triumph… Stan is still able to make him feel like an insignificant bug. That is true power.
You cut my favourite scene where he then meets mike outside the building and says it’s time to break bad
Giancarlo Esposito is the epitome of chilling when he speaks low and controlled like this
Superhero company? Here I thought Vaught was a pharmaceutical company.
"You're not a hero you're simply bad product"
Edgar : "you are simply bad product" Homelander eyes light up Edgar: "HAAAWWWW"
The Homelander actor does such an amazing job at being child like. He is enjoying THINKING he has the upperhand like a 12 year old torturing his little brother.
I find it funny when homelander emphasized on the word "straight" while looking at maeve. Not sure if it was intentional
"Last chance to look at me, Stan Edgar"
And thats how Stan started a new company called Pollos Hermanos
Stan looks genuinely hurt. World-class acting.
This will not be the end of Stan, Stan will have revenge
