I have taught voice for over 25 years, have a 5 octave vocal range myself (I am a low bass naturally), and was in awe the first time I heard her sing. She is the natural we haven't seen in this generation that we needed. In my 4 decades of singing, I have never heard someone with her innate talent.

For the past three years I've been trying to figure out this magic trick and watching reactors over and over again is no help! Some end up more blown away then I? Then dedicate their platform to her! So when I say this one thing, it's no joke! In history every 500 to 1,000 years, someone has such an impact, a shift in corse happens and they change the world. Looks like this "World changer" is here just in time! I have seen people change with my own eyes!

Remember Priscilla's hair and outfit during the 1969 TV comeback concert. It is the same set, an antique store in LA, I believe. At the piano, Rob Christie, is the head of studio productions for Republic Records and has played the piano with Angelina on several of her covers and has become a major factor in her musical career. He played the guitar on her Christmas concert last year. It was not an accident that Republic has become her contract recording company. Thank you Rob and Uncle Michael (the little girl in the video is his daughter) for protecting and wisely guiding this gift to us all! Later on this day, after a costume change, she recorded the latest "I Hve Nothing" version.

I think we are witnessing the birth of a supernova right here on Earth, and I am thankful I am alive to see it. Angelina is destined to be one of the greats in music.

You probably already know that Angelina pays homage to the artist she is doing a cover of. The leather outfit was in homage to Elvis himself .. the hair was in homage to Priscilla Presley .. who wore her hair like that most of the 60s. The guitar is the same guitar Elvis played in his iconic 1968 tour and the crazy red outfit the pianist, Rob Christie, was wearing was what Elvis' band wore during that same tour. Rob Christie, by the way is a many-time Grammy winner and is the mentor for Angelina at Republic Records. He heard someone say that and he corrected them, saying that no .. it is Angelina who is HIS mentor. I love passing that story along but one never knows where it really comes from. I can understand it, though, and would not be in the least surprised that it was totally true. The three little girls, who represent Lisa Marie Presley, are Angelina's cousins and the third one is her sister Juliette. As you also know, Angelina is a Master Storyteller .. and she arranges all her covers to be from the heart and honest .. which is why so many people cry when they hear her sing. She just dropped a brand new cover of Whitney Houston's I HAVE NOTHING. I highly recommend it. Just to remind you .. and forgive me if you're already all up on the life of Angelina Jordan, but she is 16 years old this year and will turn 17 in January 10, 2023. There are so so so many (around 140+) videos of her covers and her five original songs: What Is Life; Oslo; Shield; Million Miles and 7th Heaven. All are worthy and I always recommend the live studio versions of these. She is very powerful in them all. Million MIles was written about her grandfather that she loved very much and the grief, although well handled, is written into her music .. her pauses, her voice .. amazing. She came out with it at the beginning of Covid and said it was for anyone who had ever lost a loved one. The other one I love (I love all of them but have a special place in my heart for SHIELD.) She won Norway's Got Talent at 8 years old (the show started when she was 7 and she turned 8 in the time it was being filmed). It is extraordinary to see the very things you were speaking of here .. and see how she already had them all at seven years old. She sings four songs: Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday (this is a 7 year old picking these songs, by the way) and then she sings (a capella, mind you) I'm a Fool To Want You, also Billie Holiday but perhaps written by Frank Sinatra (?). Her third song is Bang, Bang, which was made famous by Nancy Sinatra though written by Sonny of Sonny and Cher .. and she finishes with Summertime. It is an amazing example of why she is considered a child prodigy or a music savant, or genius .. to see her at seven years old singing these songs. Please do yourself a favor. There is one video that includes all four songs .. and do make sure you get the video that has translations in it so you can understand what the judges are saying. Another sign of her exceptional talent is I Put a Spell on You, which she did at nine years old and arranged the whole thing herself, as she always does for her covers. It is a mindblowing experience to see her do that song in homage to Screaming Jay Hawkins who wrote it and sang it many moons ago (you can still watch his original .. which she fell in love with) I'm going to stop here because I could go on forever and you may already know all that I am saying here. I don't know if you've been following her for a while or if you are new to her. I enjoyed your reaction and I hope to see many more from you. Welcome!

I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about her bare feet. The reason for it is priceless. Not just a "hippy" look at all. It's her making a statement. She truly is a gem. We all watched her grow from a child into this gorgeous young lady and her talent just seems to keep expanding exponentially. I sure am looking forward to the coming years... The way I see it is that Angelina is simply "gathering" all things musical from throughout all time. From all the greats that have brought us to this point in time... she is now the hub of generations of talent. I do believe with all my heart that we're all in for an unbelievable treat!

Angelina just finished a live TV performance in Norway sang I Have Nothing in the wind and cool , powerful voice and beautiful young woman also 2 live concerts fan filmed , this cover of Elvis was a masterpiece she took a #1 hit made something completely different and beautiful . You also no how to make your audience love you ,thumbs up

In due time, she's playing chess with her career and the music industry, while almost all young up and comers play checkers and try to find the easiest and shortest route to fame and most importantly for them, fortune. That's the route taken with artists of marginal talent, make the money while you can, AJ's building a dynasty with a rock solid foundation.

I understand why you would rather not see a music video over a stage performance, but the vintage set and the nods to Elvis (and Priscilla) enhance the retro vibe and honor the original song. I think you’ve reacted to Bohemian Rhapsody, Easy on Me and this one-and been blown away each time. I could give you a couple dozen more, but I’ll suggest two. If you want to see what Angelina can do that no one else would even attempt, watch her at 13, sitting on her couch with nothing but a mic and a music track, covering the Etta James classic, “I’d Rather Go Blind”. You’ll understand why she’s the girl with a thousand voices. Or her just released version of “I Have Nothing” will show you so many things that AJ can do: power, range, texture, emotion, elegance, with depth and resonance that somehow gets better every year. Watch the studio version. She has released a lot recently, and you are missing the best singer many of us have ever heard in our lifetimes.

In many of Angelina's covers, she will pay tribute to the artists of the songs she covers. In this one, she is extending homage to Elvis. She also does her arrangements or, at least, has very much input into the way her music is done. In this case, she departed from Elvis by slowing the tune down and singing it in a way the lyrics actually ask for. Elvis covered it like the original, a virtual pop "dance" tune, although the lyrics are a sad, emotional and heartbreaking tale of an impending breakup and lost love. Angelina sings the song as it should be performed. This was Elvis's last number one song. In this video she is dressed as Elvis was in his " '68 Comeback Special" TV program. Leather from top to bottom. Her hair is done up in a "bee hive" style that Elvis liked his wife Pricilla to wear. The red guitar is a contemporary Hagstrom reproduction of a 1967 Viking II. Elvis had borrowed it from Al Casey, one of the session musicians of the Comeback Special band. The original guitar recently sold at auction for over $600,000. The piano and mic are like the ones in the Sun studio in Memphis, where Elvis started his recording career. The piano player is Rob Christie, a top studio exec at her label, Republic Records. He is dressed in the same garb as the '68 Special bandmembers were in that broadcast. She is wearing what look like mismatched shoes. One is blue suede, yes? Many of the antique shop artifacts, particularly the old red fabric chair in the background seem "fit for a king". The artistic production may have been by her executive producer and grandmom, Mery Zamani. Mery is a well known artist from Iran who had her hand in other Angelina artwork, including the outfit Angelina wore on "AGT the Champions" show, and the artwork on Angelina's first original Republic video "Million Miles - lyrics version". Angelina has just entered the Building 👣. Omagh to the King, first the kings thrown, the piano, the blue shoes, the leather and red guitar 🎸 Elvis used in his 68comeback tour, the chandeliers and gold frames we're talking like Graceland 🤯, and one more thing the beehive prescila wore in the 60s beautiful redition, it's hers now 🎸🤫. Honestly I'm a more hard rock ,heavy metal kinda soul,somehow, some way,I could feel this song . Well done.

She is ALWAYS INTO THE SONG 100% and she has no time for put on theatrics which would detract from the message of the song. And, I always get the feeling she is singing 'for me' , not just to me. Just this afternoon I was introducing Angelina to the owner of a truck rental business and before he heard a note (had no idea who I was talking about) he asked me who was my favorite singer of all time. I hesitated. I wanted to come up with a name but I couldn't. Finally I told him, "Angelina! Whenever I listen to anyone else, no matter who they are, they come up short!" He seemed very interested by my reaction. He told me, "Well, my favorite of all time is Whitney Houston!" Well,, that was the end of talking. I told him I had to play him something that he may understand what I was talking about. I played him Angelina singing 'I Have Nothing' (at 16 years old) and he went nuts! When I continued to tell him more about her he said, "You've told me enough to make a movie out of her life already!" He asked me if she has any CD's and I told him to check the internet. He did and right then and there he purchased all her CD's! I then played him some of 'Suspicious Minds' and by this time he was speechless. I will end my comments by saying something about you. "Your stage presence" on these reaction video's is very engaging and I always look forward to see you react to our 'barefoot princess'.

I used to see a good, kind person with a scary amount of strength and purpose. Since the contacts I only catch little bits here and there, strength mostly. I think I almost try to fear for her, being 16 and facing our world, but she doesn't let me. There is an unwavering spirit behind her. That's what I think it's about anyway. Hard to tell from here maybe. Probably half made up by me. As an adult she will be a powerful presence like I've never seen.

You can not have a discussion of the greatest vocalists on earth without mentioning Angelina. What a gift, we are privileged to listen!

To react to live performances, I would recommend her first "What a Difference a Day Makes". How does an eight year old do this in such a huge outdoor venue? Or her indoor "Feeling Good" concert at age 10. And who could forget her most memorable live performance ever of "It's a Man's World" at age 12. Sadly many of her stage shows have not been professionally recorded. Last months' "I Have Nothing" was professionally done but with some technical and distracting hairstyle issues.

Yeah much too beautiful. I still haven't recovered from her live Bohemian Rhapsody belt at Allsang Pa Grensen a few weeks back. Her voice certainly a strength, despite the skill, has only gotten better. Soul food is fair. But for sure, love that you aren't always looking for reasons to do your job! Excellent reaction. For her let her voice shine, relax, emote as well as anyone and she wins every time. Theatrics are for when distractions help, she needs none. In fact don't interrupt that soul food please and thank you I would say.

It is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs.

Her Voice is "Like Butter" and her stage presence is "Captivating".

This is an Elvis Presley cover, in case you weren’t aware, so she has his black leather outfit on, his red guitar, his wife, Priscilla’s beehive hairdo, etc. You didn’t mention if you are familiar with Elvis’s performance of this song, and if not, you really need to watch it so you can compare his arrangement with her arrangement. Totally different! This is three, so far, times they have used this antique shop as the setting for their productions. Since you didn’t recognize it, does that mean you also haven’t seen her cover of Sinatra’s My Funny Valentine or the latest studio cover of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing? Both amazingly Angelina! My thoughts on this of her Angelina is Paying Homage to the Presley Family The Black Leather Jumpsuit is what Elvis Wore and that Guitar is His all from His Comeback Tour Angelina's Hair is Paying Homage to Pricilla Presley as she wore a Bouffant or Beehive style. the little ones are Angelina's' Cousins and then her Sister is Portrayed and Paying Homage to Lisa. Elvis and Priscilla Presley Daughter. The Growth & Milestones Elvis Missed throught Lisa's life. Then as Elvis was on Your and he would Return that Suspicious Mind's are as if the Jealousy of maybe He had Strayed in Precillas mind. Just My Thoughts. Thanks for another great reaction to another masterful reinterpretation & performance by Angelina - this time of a classic Elvis hit. I strongly believe that she has the innate GOD given gift of being able to emote the essence of each song she sings directly to our hearts & souls allowing us to deeply FEEL the music through her. I also believe that she is not only the best singer that I have heard, but also had the most significant impact on me in my lifetime (& I'm 72 :). Looking forward to more of your Angelina reactions. Shortly after this video was released Angelina was on a brief tour in Norway (June and July of this year). She performed this song LIVE on three separate occasions. Her performances were out of this world (you’ll LOVE her stage presence😊). Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. As a seasoned citizen, I have lived through the most amazing times and performers in the music world. I have really enjoyed too many groups, singers and genres to recite but for the first time in my life understood what a fan was when Angelina stood on a stage in Norway in 2014. I agree there is something magical about her and I have stopped worrying about the routes or reasons she hits me so directly in the heart. Since 2015, I have ravenously sought out any reaction to Angelina and along the way have found some trully special reactors like you, Janet. You have a beautiful voice, excellent knowledge and a gorgeous look and personality. The pursuit of the reactions on KZread has introduced me to so many artists and groups who would have remained unknown to me except for this internet miracle. You have reacted to almost all of my "amazings" but lesser known stars outside of the current main stream. How is it possible that Angelina, Dimash, and Morissette, to name only three, are not known all over the world and their voices are not heard daily on the radio. I believe that the best performers deserve the best reactors. You have mystically discovered and shared almost all that I have found to be exceptional but two. These are new discoveries that I would hope you would review. In the spirit of increasing their exposure and increasing your subscribers, I humbly submit the haunting live performance of "Mad as a Hatter" by Larkin Poe, two extremely talented young ladies from Georgia kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnt5zMSDm9usmNY.html. I think they just finished a European tour. The second group is Home Free performing "Man of Consant Sorrow". My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.
