I walk my dog every day on the same route and today while doing so and listening to Stacey speak I see a hat with “ETHAN” on it in the park. What are the chances. Wishing continued strength and love for the Chapin family. Edit: finished the video and the fact that I saw his name walking- doing her favorite thing. Chills. An amazing woman. God bless her.

@@dangroz03 that would have been a good idea but it was strapped onto someone’s bike so I couldn’t take it. And this was not near the idaho home. I’m in another state 😊

Stacy Chapin may be forcing herself to put that away. I’m kind of like that but I will say that grief will come out……

This woman shows such an astronomical amount of strength and wisdom. I am immensely sorry for the loss she, her loved ones and everyone who has been involved in this has endured. She truly is an amazing mother who talks with such grace. Rip Ethan, Xana, Maddie and Kaylee ❤️

Stacy is my Hero. She’s choosing love; she’s choosing peace…this is going to be difficult to watch, but I just love and appreciate the entire Chapin Family. How could we not? 🦋🦋🦋

She is the first one talking about his dead beloved son I have ever heard, not only inspiring its a whole other perspective she is learning me something completely new. Must be A true believer kind of awakening me to thoughts you can relate to but never thought you weren’t allowed or able to. “ you must cry” and only grief with teardrops not with sunshine. She is bringing the light to him and us🫶😊

The manner of which y’all asked these questions to her was amazing and respectful. Mrs.Chapin wholeheartedly embodies compassion, wisdom, and integrity. Thank you for sharing your journey with this unimaginable experience.

The strength and grace exuded from Stacy and her family during a time of the most horrendous nightmare any parent could ever imagine is mind blowing. They are clearly such incredible people! Hoping they find justice 🩵

Awe Stacey you don't need to feel your grief is a "burden" to others. I lost my Dad in a tragic way very young and I pretended I didn't need help and I would figure it out on my own. Maybe it was my age, but all of a sudden, years later, the emotions all boiled over at once. I just started screaming and crying and panicking for 2 hours straight at the memory. I have found someone who walks this journey with me finally. Sometime I just need to scream and cry about "why me". Most of the time no one can tell I'm suffering.

Just came across this ! I’ve followed the Idaho4 tragic event from day one. I have to say Mrs. Chapin is an amazing woman ! I absolutely listened intently to every word she spoke. Thank you for having her on your show ! Mrs. Chapin it was such an honor to see you and hear your words. Ethan was a very special young man and he came from very wonderful family. i think about stacy chapin all the time i truly do, the way she speaks about her son and her family is like nothing i’ve seen before she has such a beautiful outlook. every time morgan wallen plays in my car i think about it. i’ll literally never forget this case and the victims it struck my soul so heavily.

Yes, to her he is still within her life, remembering all the beautiful of him…… As he is walking bye her side with everything she is doing, he is not cut off at all, that’s another way of keeping them instead

I can understand not wanting to relive this trauma at the whole trial, however I'd have to be there for the verdict to make sure my son got his justice!! No judgment for her or her family just couldn't imagine not hearing GUILTY for my son. ❤

No way a single individual did this to two pairs of individuals on 2 separate floors and even more alarming is that the roommates heard talking and crying but didn’t hear the roomies getting killed? Don’t buy it. So, I don’t think they have the right person. Jmo

Every parent I know that has lost a child to murder can’t wait to go to trial & get justice for their child. I’ve buried two children (accidents) and I think Stacy is in denial & shock while being productive & determined to carry on. She’s in the denial shock stage in my opinion. You can function while grieving. You can work severely depressed. You can function! Stacy is amazing for that but it’s gruesome losing a child.

This interview was very good. The couple interviewing Stacy are so relaxed and caring. I enjoyed the family time memories that Stacy shared. I also am in awe of her sharing her personal walk with grief. I am so sorry for the family’s loss. Thank you Stacy for being strong and as positive as you are able to be.

I don’t live too far from Moscow and I remember when this all happened, it rocked people’s and cities world and I just have always been so admired by this families strength and the way they share positivity and love through this whole thing admist the circumstances. Same! I lost my mom a year ago june 22nd and she has helped me realize I need to keep pushing through life.. I’ve gone months where I basically stopped living.. it’s hard to explain. I also have a 5 year old I need to take care of and I don’t want him seeing me in a puddle forever. It’s not fair to him. I hope you’re finding peace, and I’m sending you love too ❤️🙏🏼

The reason why people criticize her response is because they haven't had such a major encounter with malevolence. Most of us go about our lives and never encounter true evil. Yes we run into bad people or have to deal with a narcisisst at work...but a cold-blooded psychopath who violently murders our kid? Only the most unlucky few have to process that kind of encounter. When she talks about the folder in her head labeled "things I don't understand", it's about her not being able to comprehend evil. And that is a real and normal response! There is no logic to what happened to her son. There is no logic to evil. We are taught to walk around believing everyone is good or can be rehabilitated, but that's just not true. Some people have the capacity to destroy our life. The only control she has left is to not let evil destroy her family. That is why she speaks like she does in this podcast. Don't criticize her, you have no idea how you'd respond after such an encounter with the dark underbelly of life.

Yes, I think people are most of the time too Judgemental something I think is so sadly. If we listen and try to understand how come would be much better. Why is it so hard to see the good with some of us, instead of just turn it to bad. I hear so many really good things with Stacy🙏

Prior to watching this interview, i can admit i had some judgments about her. However, my opinions have completely changed. This is a strong woman who has been an incredible mom and understands that life throws us curve balls and sometimes we get knocked down. She is teaching her children to be resilient, strong, confident. She’s teaching them to confront the challenges head on and to keep moving forward. We can dwell on the past. We can dwell in the things we can’t change or we can keep moving forward and be overcomes of life circumstances that are beyond our control. Wow!!! I would love to have coffee with her. I’ve learned so much and have been so inspired by this interview.

The host said: “Nobody should judge parents on how they raise their children.” On April 2024 James and Jennifer Crumbley were convicted to 10 to 15 years by a community of their peers for neglecting their parental duty by not averting the obvious danger their son presented - and were directly responsible for the deaths of four teenagers, the injuries of seven, and the trauma of the town. I’d like to know his thoughts on that case.

It’s easy to judge when you haven’t been in this kind of situation. It’s easy to say if I were in her situation I would have done this or said that, but you don’t know until you know. She’s living every parents nightmare and she’s trying her best to live with an impossibly difficult situation.

My heart bleeds for the Chapin family. I can not imagine.she seems to be healing well.. but, I’m sorry, but how can Stacy say if she had it to do over again- knowing the outcome- her son being in Alice’s- she would change nothing? I would change everything I could to keep my son alive. I just don’t understand. Why would she say that.

I’ve always been curious as to why she never mentions her husband’s children from his first marriage? Are they not considered part of their family? I honestly would love to know. 1:17:36

Tell me that Stacy Chapin doesn't look near identical to Eve Best, the actress who portrays Carole Middleton in the Netflix series, The Crown.

I see a Mother first, one who has endured incredible pain,(and will likely endure more) the pain of loosing one of your children, this is NOT a Normal Life Experience!!! I think their family have done what they as a family decided what was Best to do for their family-they know much better what they need in order to continue on with LIFE, while still memorialize their beautiful Ethan as a; sister, brother & his two parents.

since the day of the massacre they have done nothing but appear and speak in interviews and podcasts. I'm not saying their word isn't important, but I'd rather hear from Maddie's or Xana's parents

Taylor should seriously consider becoming a licensed therapist. He has such a nice way of speaking, very personable and empathetic.

To be fair taylor is 32 (im the same age) and tay is 27 It was on 1989 to 1997 so taylor was 5 when it ended and tay was born that year.
